Chapter 3. Awakening the Demon’s Fate

Chapter 3 – Awakening the Demon’s Fate

---

After the Battle – Ji Yang’s Escape

Ji Yang stood over the Ji Family Elder, watching as the man lay in a pool of his own blood. His once arrogant face was now twisted in disbelief and pain.

"Yin-Yang Explosion..." Ji Yang muttered, feeling the last remnants of energy flickering inside him. The attack had drained him, but it was worth it.

The elder’s body trembled, his eyes flickering with unwillingness.

"You... cough... you dare—"

Ji Yang didn’t let him finish. His cold eyes held no pity. "You’ll live," he said flatly, "but next time… you won’t be so lucky."

Without wasting another second, he turned and disappeared into the darkness of the dense forest.

---

Moments Later – The Great Elder Arrives

BOOM!

A terrifying force descended from the sky. The very air trembled.

The Great Elder of the Ji Family appeared above the battlefield, his golden dragon-embroidered robe billowing, his gaze like a god looking down upon mortals. His aura alone caused the ground to crack.

His eyes swept across the scene—blood, destruction, and the unconscious Ji Family Elder, barely clinging to life.

The Great Elder's expression darkened.

"A mere boy... did this?"

He stepped forward, his Profound Heaven Stage aura crashing down like a tidal wave. The surrounding trees bent, the air vibrated under his pressure.

The injured elder on the ground coughed weakly. His lips trembled as he tried to speak.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

"He… he's not normal… That boy… he—"

Before he could finish, the Great Elder waved his hand.

BOOM!

A shockwave burst out, knocking the injured elder unconscious. The Great Elder didn’t even spare him another glance.

"No excuses," he muttered. "You have embarrassed the Ji Family enough."

Then, he raised his head, his spiritual sense spreading outward—

Only to find... Ji Yang was already gone.

His eyes narrowed.

"A brat at this level… escaped my senses?"

His face darkened, his fingers clenching behind his back. The sky above flickered with lightning, responding to his growing anger.

He took a deep breath. Then, a sinister smirk appeared on his face.

"He won’t escape forever. Run all you want, boy. We will meet again…"

And with that, he vanished into the night.

Deep in the Wilderness – Ji Yang’s Struggle

Far away, Ji Yang stumbled through the thick forest. His body ached, his breath ragged. Every step sent waves of pain through him.

He leaned against a tree, wiping the sweat and blood from his forehead.

"That was too close…"

If he had stayed even a second longer, he would be dead.

But his relief didn’t last long.

A deep, guttural growl echoed through the silent forest.

Ji Yang’s sharp eyes snapped toward the sound. Emerging from the shadows was a massive silver-furred wolf, its crimson eyes glowing under the moonlight.

A Peak Body Tempering Stage Beast.

"Tch. Even now, I have to fight?" Ji Yang muttered.

The wolf snarled, lowering itself into an attack position. Its body radiated raw, violent energy. This was no ordinary beast.

Then—

It pounced!

Ji Yang barely dodged, flipping backward.

Damn it. My body is already weakened...

The wolf was fast, far faster than anything he had fought before. It slashed out with razor-sharp claws, missing Ji Yang’s throat by mere inches.

Ji Yang countered, his movements fluid despite his injuries. He twisted mid-air, delivering a brutal kick to the wolf’s side. But the beast barely flinched.

It howled, then lunged again—this time biting down on Ji Yang’s arm.

CRACK!

Pain exploded through his body.

Ji Yang gritted his teeth, his eyes flashing dangerously.

"Enough!"

His demonic energy surged. His body twisted, and in one swift motion—

He drove his palm forward, unleashing a violent Demonic Palm Strike!

BOOM!

The wolf's skull shattered. Its massive body collapsed.

Ji Yang staggered back, blood dripping from his arm. He exhaled.

"Damn thing… wouldn’t let me rest."

Ignoring the pain, he continued walking.

Ahead, he spotted something—

A hidden waterfall nestled deep within the forest. The rushing water glowed under the moonlight, its mist shimmering.

Ji Yang smirked.

"Perfect."

He stepped forward, peeling off his bloodstained robe. He entered the water, allowing the cool sensation to soothe his aching body.

But then—

BOOM!

A powerful surge of energy erupted from within him. His Heavenly Demon Body trembled violently.

Then—

A voice. Deep. Ancient. Overwhelming.

"Heavenly Demon… Do you seek the truth?"

Ji Yang’s eyes snapped open.

His breath quickened. This voice… it wasn’t coming from outside.

It was coming from inside him.

Then, the voice spoke again, this time as a riddle:

"Seven Seals bind the Blood…

Seven Fates shape the Path…

To awaken the First, seek the Forgotten Gate…

Beyond the Flowing Veil, lies the Demon’s Fate."

Ji Yang frowned.

"Seven Seals?"

His gaze shifted toward the waterfall in front of him. The Flowing Veil… could it be referring to this?

His instincts screamed at him—this place was not ordinary.

Without hesitation, he reached forward.

The moment his fingers touched the falling water—

A surge of demonic energy exploded outward!

The ground trembled. Ancient symbols appeared on the rocks, pulsing with a dark crimson light.

The waterfall itself split apart, revealing a hidden cave behind it. Inside, an ominous black gate stood tall, its surface covered in unreadable markings.

Ji Yang smirked, his blood boiling with excitement.

"So this is it… The First Seal’s awakening begins here!"

With a deep breath, he stepped forward—

Into the unknown.
