Chapter 2

When Alex woke up the next morning, he felt relieved that Adria had left, but he also felt sad that he wouldn't see her again today. He missed her already and wanted to spend more time with her.

After breakfast, Alex went out to tend to his garden. Even though it was still winter, sun was shining brightly, and air was crisp and cold. Alex wore a thick woollen coat and a scarf around his neck, but his hands and face were freezing. Ground was hard, covered in frost, and trees were bare, yet there were some flowers and herbs that could withstand the harsh weather.

Alex knelt down and took a handful of soil in his hand. He smelled it, and smiled. He loved the smell of fresh earth, and he loved growing things.

Max accompanied him, helping wherever he could. They talked about various things, but Max noticed that Alex was distracted and kept thinking about Lady Adria.

"Big brother, you are acting strange today," Max said, as he helped Alex tend to flowers.

"Really?" Alex replied, "What do you mean?"

"Well, you seem distant and absentminded," Max explained, "You usually pay more attention to the tasks at hand, but now you are just staring into space, as if lost in thought."

Alex sighed heavily and shook his head.

"Max, I'm sorry," he apologised, "It's just... Adria overwhelms me, I don't know what to think."

Max smiled knowingly and patted his brother on the back.

"Big brother, don't worry," he reassured him, "Lady Adria seems nice. I like her. She is bold and straightforward, but also kind and cheerful. I think she will make a good wife for you."

Alex blushed slightly and looked away.

"Thanks Max," he said, "But I'm still unsure. I don't know what to think or do. I'm confused. Adria is so different than what I expected. You are still young, so you can't understand, Max."

Max chuckled lightly and shook his head.

"Big brother, you are only two years older than me," he pointed out, "Besides, Lady Adria is a handsome and strong woman. Any man would be lucky to have her as his wife. And you are very beautiful yourself, big brother. You are perfect for each other."

Alex smiled weakly and shrugged.

"I suppose you are right, Max," he said, "I'm still conflicted though. Adria is so direct and fearless. She does whatever she wants without hesitation. It's hard to deal with such behaviour."

Max laughed and patted Alex on the back again.

"Big brother, you are exaggerating," he told him, "Lady Adria is just confident and assertive. She knows what she wants and goes after it. That's a good thing. And she clearly likes you. She is a fierce and bold woman, but she also has a soft and caring side. You should give her a chance."

Alex sighed once more and nodded slowly.

"I will, Max," he promised, "I just need some time to think things through."

Max smiled brightly and gave Alex a thumbs up.

"Big brother, everything will work out," he assured him, "Just trust yourself and Lady Adria. Give her a chance. I'm sure you will be happy together."

Alex smiled back and nodded again.

"Thanks Max," he said, "You are a good brother."

They worked together for a while longer, tending to the flowers and plants. Eventually, Max left to attend to his other duties, while Alex stayed outside alone, lost in thought.

Alex spent the rest of the day tending to his garden and reflecting on his feelings for Adria. He found himself thinking about her constantly. He couldn't get her out of his mind. He wondered what it would be like to be married to such a confident and fearless woman. Would she be demanding and controlling? Or would she be gentle and loving? He didn't know, and that uncertainty made him anxious.

When the sun began to set, Alex returned inside the manor, where he found Max waiting for him in the hallway. Max greeted Alex cheerfully and led him towards the dining room, where dinner had been prepared.

Adria was sitting at the table, eating heartily. She looked up and smiled when Alex entered the room.

"My sweet Alex!" she exclaimed, "How are you doing today?"

Alex blushed slightly and smiled back.

"I'm fine," he replied, "Thank you."

Adria grinned and beckoned him closer.

"Come sit down next to me," she said, "I want to talk to you."

Alex obeyed and sat down next to Adria. She took his hand in hers and looked into his eyes intently.

"My sweet Alex," she said softly, "I want to apologize for yesterday. I shouldn't have pushed you so far. I'm sorry. I promise I won't do anything like that again."

Alex blushed deeper and looked away.

"...It's alright," he murmured, "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have reacted like that. I just wasn't ready."

Adria squeezed Alex's hand gently and smiled reassuringly.

"Don't worry," she reassured him, "I understand. I will respect your boundaries from now on. I don't want to scare you away."

Alex smiled weakly and nodded.

"Thank you," he said, "And I'm sorry again. I didn't mean to upset you."

Adria laughed lightly and shook her head.

"You are so cute, my sweet Alex!" she exclaimed, "Don't worry, you didn't upset me. I'm just glad we cleared things up. Now, let's enjoy this delicious meal together!"

Adria released Alex's hand and gestured towards the plate of food in front of him. Alex picked up the fork and began eating in small, graceful bites. The food was delicious and he soon relaxed and enjoyed himself.

After dinner, Adria talked animatedly with Alex about her plans for tomorrow. She wanted to show him around Lockinge and introduce him to her dragoons.

"I'm sure you will like them," she assured him, "As I said before, they are rough around the edges, but they are loyal and trustworthy. They will protect you fiercely."

Alex smiled nervously and nodded.

"I look forward to meeting them," he said, "And thank you Adria, for being so considerate. You are very kind."

Adria grinned mischievously and winked at Alex.

"You will see, my sweet Alex," she said, "Tomorrow will be a great day! We will have lots of fun together!"

They continued chatting happily until it was time to retire for the night. Adria walked Alex to his bedroom and kissed him gently on the cheek before bidding him goodnight.

As Alex lay in bed that night, he couldn't stop thinking about Adria. He wondered what tomorrow would bring and what it would be like to spend time with her dragoons. He felt nervous but excited at the same time. He fell asleep with Adria's image in his mind, hoping that tomorrow would indeed be a great day.

The following day, Alex woke up early and dressed himself carefully. He wanted to make a good impression on Adria's dragoons. He chose a simple but elegant dress and applied light makeup. He braided his hair neatly and tied it with a ribbon. Then he went downstairs to meet Max in the dining room for breakfast.

Max greeted Alex cheerfully and complimented him on his appearance.

"Big brother, you look lovely!" he exclaimed, "Lady Adria will be very pleased."

Alex blushed slightly and smiled shyly.

"Thank you, Max," he said, "I hope Adria approves as well."

Max laughed merrily and patted Alex on the back.

"Of course, she will!" he assured him, "Lady Adria adores you. She won't stop talking about you."

Alex blushed deeper and looked away.

After breakfast Max continued, "So big brother, are you ready to meet Adria's dragoons?"

Alex hesitated for a moment before answering:

"Yes, I suppose so."

Max grinned broadly and grabbed Alex's hand.

"Let's go then!" he exclaimed, "I wonder what they will be like."

After wearing furs and boots, Max led Alex outside to the courtyard where miss Gabele was waiting. She would be coming with them for protection. Adria also arrived in just a few minutes.

Adria greeted Alex cheerfully and complimented him on his appearance.

"My sweet Alex!" she exclaimed, "You are absolutely adorable! I can't wait to introduce you to my dragoons!"

Alex blushed deeply and smiled shyly.

"Thank you, Adria," he said, "I look forward to meeting your dragoons."

Adria grinned mischievously and winked at Alex.

"Oh, so the young brother will come too!" she said, looking at Max, "How sweet! I'm sure you will like my dragoons, they are the finest bitches I could ever find! I trained them myself, after all! Hahaha!"

"I'm looking forward to meeting them," Max replied cheerfully, "And I'm glad to accompany my big brother."

"Great, then let's go!" Adria exclaimed, "Miss Gabele, I will lead the way!"

Gabele nodded and helped Max into the sleigh belonging to their family. Adria took Alex's hand and led him into her own sleigh. They sat down together, facing each other.

"My sweet Alex," she said softly, "Thank you for agreeing to come with me today. I really appreciate it."

Alex smiled nervously and nodded.

"I'm looking forward to it," he said.

Adria smiled broadly and held Alex's hand tightly.

"Me too," she replied, "I'm sure you will like my dragoons. They are a rough bunch, but don't be too scared of them. I trained them well and they won't hurt you. Just be yourself and don't let them intimidate you. They are loyal to me, and they will respect you, if I tell them to."

Alex took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"I will," he said, trying to sound confident.

"Don't worry, my sweet Alex, I will be with you," Adria reassured him. "I will protect you."

Alex smiled weakly and nodded.

"Thank you, Adria," he said, "I feel safer when I'm with you."

Adria grinned mischievously and pulled Alex into a tight embrace.

"I love you, my sweet Alex," she whispered, "You are such an adorable little thing. I want to gobble you up!"

Alex blushed deeply and giggled nervously.

"Haha...please, don't say such embarrassing things, Adria," he said, "But, uhm, th-thank you..."

Adria chuckled and kissed him on the forehead.

"You are welcome," she said, "Now let's go. My dragoons are waiting for us."

Adria got the sleigh moving, while Gabele made the other one follows them. And soon, they left Claywater's domain.

Alex was quiet for most of the journey. He was nervous and afraid of meeting Adria's dragoons. What kind of people would they be? Would they accept him? Would they be intimidating? Would they be cruel and violent? He didn't know, but his anxiety increased with each passing moment.

When they reached the camp in Lockinge, Adria jumped out of the sleigh and helped Alex down. Max and Gabele followed closely behind.

"Come, let's go meet my bitches!" Adria exclaimed excitedly.

Alex smiled weakly and nodded.

Adria took his hand and led him towards the centre of the camp where a group of women were gathered around a fire, drinking and laughing loudly. When they approached, the women stopped their conversations and stared at Alex and Adria with intense curiosity.

"Ladies, may I present my dearest Alex, whom I spoke to you about," Adria declared, gesturing at Alex, "Behave and treat him nicely. He is a precious treasure. Any dumb cunt who dares to even touch a hair on his head, I will rip off her arm and beat her with it."

"H-Hello everyone, nice to meet you," Alex greeted the women, while blushing.

After him, Max also greeted the group, "Hi, I'm Alex's brother, Max. N-Nice to meet you."

"What a pretty boy!" one of the dragoons exclaimed, "Nice to meet ya!"

"Yes, what beauties, aren't they?" another agreed, "So cute!"

"Welcome, pretty boys!" a third shouted, "Please, join us! We will have fun together!"

Adria laughed merrily and sat down on a log by the fire.

"Come, sit with us, my sweet Alex," she said, gesturing at the log next to her, "There's plenty of room here."

Alex hesitated for a moment, but then he sat down next to Adria, feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. Max also took a seat near Alex, while Gabele stayed close to them.

"My, aren't you both a beautiful pair of siblings!" a dragoon commented, "Such lovely faces!"

"Aahh, Lady Adria, you only said not to touch your sweetie, you never said we couldn't touch his little brother!" another one argued, "He is cute, let's play with him too."

"That's right, you can play with Max too," Adria replied, "But if any of you even think of harming him, I will make you regret it for the rest of your miserable lives. I will feed your eyes to wild dogs and hang your corpses as warning signs."

"No, no, no, no need to go that far, Lady Adria," a third dragoon spoke, "We won't harm a single hair on their heads. Right ladies?!"

The others nodded vigorously in agreement.

"Good, because I would hate to have to punish you again," Adria said, grinning dangerously. "Now, let's all get along and have some fun. Drink up, eat up, and relax!"

The dragoons cheered and raised their mugs in salute. Adria laughed and turned to Alex.

"Let's drink and have fun together, my sweet Alex!" she exclaimed cheerfully.

Alex smiled nervously and nodded.

"Uhm, okay," he said hesitantly.

"Hahaha, don't worry, my dear Alex, it will be fine!" she reassured him. "I will protect you from my bitches. They may be wild, but they will listen to me. Don't worry about a thing."

Adria poured some alcohol into a cup and handed it to Alex.

"Drink up," she urged him, "This will warm your body and put you at ease."

Alex accepted the cup and took a small sip. The drink burned his throat and made him caught.

"Is this really alcohol?!" he asked, coughing.

"Yep, the strongest liquor money can buy," Adria confirmed, grinning.

"Aaahhh, don't worry, lad, drink more! Drink until your head spins!" a dragoon cheered.

"That's right! Drink until you can't remember your name!" another encouraged him.

"Ah... okay," Alex said, taking a deep breath before downing the rest of the drink in one gulp.

"Yeah! That's the spirit!" the first dragoon yelled.

Alex coughed violently and wiped his mouth.

"My, aren't you a brave one, my sweet Alex," Adria remarked, "I'm impressed."

Alex blushed slightly and smiled shyly.

The dragoons tried to also feed Max with the alcohol, but they were stopped by Gabelle's glare.

"Ah, the young master is too young for that!" she claimed.

"What?! Come on! He's not a baby!" one of the dragoons protested.

"I... I would also like to try," Max spoke quietly.

"No, too young," Gabele protested, "Not even fifteen, young master. Won't let you drink strong alcohol."

"I see," Max replied, looking disappointed.

"Haha, don't worry, there will be many other chances for us to get drunk together," one dragoon said, patting Max on the back.

"Yeah, we'll make sure of it," another added.

"Ah, yeah," Max responded, smiling weakly.

Alex started feeling tipsy. His face flushed and his body felt warm. The dragoons' laughter and chatter seemed to grow louder and louder. His head began spinning and his vision blurred.

"Oh dear, it seems like my sweet Alex had too much to drink," Adria said, chuckling.

"Ha! A lightweight, huh?" one of the dragoons commented.

"Aahh, the cutest boy I have ever seen is wasted," another lamented, "It's a shame."

"Aww, how adorable," a third added, "I wish I could cuddle him."

"Well, don't you dare touch him, you dumb cunts," Adria warned, "He's mine. Only I can touch him."

"Haha, relax, Lady Adria," the first dragoon said, "We're just teasing you. We won't hurt your darling."

"I know," Adria said, grinning mischievously, "But you better not, or else..."

The dragoons laughed heartily.

"Haha, we won't, don't worry," one reassured her, "You are always so possessive, Lady Adria."

"Can you blame me?" Adria asked, pulling Alex into a hug. "He's the most precious thing in the world. I don't want anyone else touching him. Only I can have him."

Alex blushed and leaned against Adria. He was feeling dizzy and confused. He couldn't focus on anything except Adria's scent. She smelled like leather and pine trees. It was a comforting, earthy smell. He nuzzled his face against her chest, inhaling deeply.

"Are you okay, my sweet Alex?" Adria asked gently, stroking his hair.

"Mmm, yes, I'm fine," Alex mumbled, closing his eyes.

Adria smiled and continued petting him. She enjoyed seeing Alex drunk. It made her want to take advantage of him even more.

"I think it's time to take my darling back home," she declared, "He's getting sleepy."

"Haha, what a shame, Lady Adria," a dragoon said, "I was hoping to spend more time with them."

"Well, I'm sorry, but I have to take care of my darling," Adria responded, "It's late and he needs rest."

"Alright, alright," another dragoon conceded, "Go ahead. But next time, we won't let you go so easily."

Adria laughed and stood up, pulling Alex to his feet.

"See you next time, ladies," she said, waving goodbye.

"Bye-bye, pretty boy!" a dragoon yelled, "Take care of yourself!"

"Yes, yes, have a safe trip, Lady Adria," a second one said, "We will wait for your next visit."

Adria helped Alex into the sleigh and climbed in after him. Max and Gabele also took their seats in theirs.

"Okay, let's go," Adria ordered, "Back to Claywater!"

Gabele and Adria got the sleighs going. Alex dozed off and leaned against Adria as she directed the horses. He felt content and relaxed, despite being drunk. He enjoyed being close to Adria. Her body was warm and her scent was comforting. He wished they could stay like this forever.

When they arrived back home, Max helped Alex inside and into his bedroom.

"I'm fine, Max, thank you," Alex said, smiling weakly, "I can take care of myself."

"I'll help you change into your nightgown, big brother," Max insisted, "Don't worry about it. Just sit down and relax."

"Okay," Alex agreed, "Thanks."

Max assisted Alex in changing into his nightwear.

"They were kind of intimidating, huh, big brother?" Max remarked. "As if, I was being stared at by feral wolves."

"Yeah, they were," Alex said, "But I don't think they would hurt us. They seem to respect Adria a lot."

"You are probably right," Max agreed, "She is very brave and fierce. It's no wonder they listen to her."

Alex nodded and yawned.

"Alright, big brother, let's get you to bed," Max said, leading Alex towards the bed.

Alex sat down on the edge of the bed with slow movements.

"Thank you, Max," he said, smiling sleepily.

Max tucked him into bed and kissed him on the forehead.

"Sleep well, big brother," he said, "Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Max," Alex replied, closing his eyes.

Max turned off the light and left the room. Alex fell asleep quickly, dreaming about the day's events and Adria's embrace.

Afterwards, Adria visited Alex almost every day. She took him out on sleigh rides, horseback riding, and even took him hunting once. She introduced him to her dragoons and made sure that they treated him well. She also spent time alone with him, getting to know him better and making sure that he was comfortable around her. She was patient and understanding, taking things slowly and letting Alex set the pace. She wanted him to feel safe and secure with her.

Alex found himself enjoying Adria's company more and more. She was strong and confident, but she was also gentle and caring. She made him feel safe and protected. He was starting to fall in love with her, and it scared him a little. But he also couldn't deny his attraction to her. He wanted to be with her, and she seemed to feel the same way.

One day, while they were riding in a sleigh, Adria asked him:

"My sweet Alex, would you like to go somewhere special with me?"

"Special?" Alex wondered.

"Yes," Adria replied, "There's a beautiful spot that I would like to show you. I think you will like it."

"Uhm, okay," Alex agreed, "Let's go."

"Great," Adria said, smiling broadly.

They changed the direction of the sleigh and soon they were on their way. Adria was full of enthusiasm and excitement.

"Where are we going?" Alex asked.

"You'll see," Adria said, grinning mischievously.

After a while, the sleigh reached a secluded spot in the forest. Adria helped Alex down and led him through the trees until they came upon a small clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a frozen lake.

"Wow," Alex breathed, "It's beautiful."

"I know," Adria said, "This is where I used to come when I needed to clear my head. I've always loved this place, back when I was still a kid. Now, it's even more special to me, since you are here, my sweet Alex."

Alex blushed and looked away.

"Th-Thank you, Adria," he stuttered, "It's a lovely place."

"Come, sit down," Adria urged, patting the ground next to her.

They sat down side by side, staring out across the frozen lake. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the scene. The sky was filled with streaks of orange and purple. It was breathtaking.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Adria asked softly.

"Yes," Alex replied, nodding slowly.

"It reminds me of you," Adria said, taking his hand and squeezing it gently.

"Me?" Alex asked, surprised.

"Yes, my sweet Alex," Adria said, gazing at him intensely, "You are beautiful and bright. You light up my world like the sun. You are so wonderful and precious to me. I can't imagine my life without you."

Alex blushed and looked away.

"I...I'm flattered," he murmured, "But I'm not that great. You are the amazing one, Adria."

Adria chuckled and shook her head.

"Don't sell yourself short, my dear Alex," she said, "You are beautiful and kind. You are the most important person in the world to me. I love you. I want to be with you forever. So, let's marry already. I can't wait anymore."

Alex's eyes widened and he gasped in shock.

"W-What?!" he exclaimed, "Marry? But...but I'm not ready yet!"

"My sweet Alex," Adria said, smiling lovingly, "I know you are not ready, but I can't hold myself back anymore. I love you and I want to be with you. So, please, say yes. Marry me."

Alex stared at her, speechless. His heart was racing and his mind was spinning. He didn't know what to do or how to respond.

"Adria, I..." he started, but his voice trailed off.

"Please, my sweet Alex," Adria pleaded, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I can't imagine a future without you. Please, marry me. I promise I will make you happy. I will protect you and take care of you. I will give you everything you want and more. It's as if, you wrapped me around your finger, Alex.

Alex's mind was spinning. He looked into Adria's eyes, which were filled with desire and longing. His heart ached at the thought of rejecting her, but he still felt unsure.

"Adria..." he began gently, "I care for you deeply, and spending time together has made me very happy. But marriage is such a big step. We still have much to learn about each other."

Adria's face fell slightly. "I understand your hesitation, my sweet Alex. But I already know in my heart that we belong together. When I'm with you, I'm complete."

She took his hands in hers. "I know I can be impatient and impulsive sometimes. I will wait as long as you need. Just tell me there's a chance you could love me too." Her eyes were pleading.

Alex was conflicted. He didn't want to break her heart, but he owed it to both of them to be honest.

"Adria, you mean a lot to me. I do have feelings for you that are growing stronger each day. But I can't promise my heart just yet. This... is all still new to me. I'm scared."

Adria squeezed his hands. "I understand, my darling. I won't pressure you anymore. We'll take things at your pace. Just know that I will cherish you always."

She pulled Alex into an embrace. He melted into her arms, comforted by her warmth. They held each other as the sun set over the frozen lake.

"Thank you for understanding, Adria," Alex murmured. "It means everything to me that you're willing to be patient. I will try to open up my heart and trust you more."

Adria kissed him gently. "I'll do my best to earn that trust, my sweet Alex."

They gazed at each other, lost in the moment. Eventually, Adria stood up and helped Alex up.

"Come, my dear Alex," she said, smiling affectionately, "Let's go back home."

"Yes, let's go," Alex replied, returning the smile.

But, before they could return to the sleigh, Adria's face became serious.

"Alex, stay close to me," she commanded.

"What's wrong?" he asked, alarmed.

"Nothing, it's just..." Adria explained, "Something is coming this way. Something dangerous."

Alex felt a chill run down his spine. Finally, he heard something. Like a small rustling.

"What was that?" Alex whispered anxiously. More rustling sounded from the trees. Adria pushed Alex behind her swiftly. Alex huddled against her back, peering fearfully into the shadows. He felt a huge dread, as if a beast was staring at them.

"Whatever you do, don't move," Adria said firmly.

"W-What is it?" Alex asked.

The rustling grew louder and closer. Adria tensed up, preparing herself for battle.

"A beast," she said grimly, "And a hungry one at that."

The rustling grew louder until two glowing eyes appeared from the brush. Alex gasped, trembling with terror. His eyes widened as the creature emerged from the forest.

An enormous brown bear lumbered into the clearing, snuffling and pawing at the ground.

Adria gripped his arm reassuringly.

"It's alright, my love. I won't let it hurt you." She stared down the beast with fiery determination.

The bear huffed aggressively, standing on its hind legs to appear more intimidating. Adria held her ground, keeping herself planted firmly between it and Alex.

"Get back!" she yelled, grabbing a thick branch from the ground. The bear roared in response, swiping its sharp claws.

"Adria!" Alex cried as she charged forward, swinging the branch forcefully. It cracked against the bear's shoulder but didn't deter its advance. Alex watched in horror as Adria grappled fiercely with the raging beast. She managed to dodge its slashing claws and landed a blow with the branch, sending it stumbling backwards.

"Adria!" he called out, worried about her safety.

The bear roared angrily, regaining its balance. It charged towards Adria, jaws snapping. She dodged nimbly, ducking beneath its massive frame.

"Run!" she shouted, as she continued to fight.

Alex tried to do something, but his whole body was trembling with fear. His legs wouldn't obey him. He couldn't move. He could only watch helplessly as Adria battled the bear alone.

The bear roared again, enraged by its failure to land a hit on Adria. It rose to its full height and pounced, claws outstretched. Adria rolled aside, narrowly avoiding the attack.

Alex fell to the ground, as his knees gave up. His body was shaking so much, he could barely breathe. His throat was parched and his heart was racing. He could feel tears streaming down his face.

Adria continued fighting bravely, fending off the bear's vicious attacks. But the beast was relentless, refusing to give up. It swiped wildly, catching her off guard. She staggered, dropping the branch.

"Adria!" Alex screamed, as the bear closed in, ready to deliver the final blow.

Alex felt that had to do something. He searched the ground for a weapon, but found nothing. Then, his gaze fell on a small, sharp stone. Without thinking, he picked it up and hurled it at the bear's eye.

The stone hit its mark, causing the beast to roar in pain. It staggered backwards, blinded by the impact. "Alex! What are you doing?" Adria shouted.

"I... I...!"

The bear shook its head, recovering its senses. It spotted Alex cowering nearby and let out a deafening bellow. It charged towards him, eyes blazing with fury.

Adria sprinted after the beast, tackling it from behind. She slammed it to the ground, knocking the wind out of its lungs. It writhed and struggled, attempting to break free.

"Adria! Be careful!" Alex cried, as the bear's claws sliced her leg.

"Damn it!" she cursed, kicking the bear in the snout.

The bear let out a pained yelp and rolled over, exposing its soft underbelly. Adria seized the opportunity and run towards the sleigh. She grabbed the gun and aimed. The bear roared in defiance, rising up on its hind legs. It charged towards her, but she stood her ground, firing a single shot into its chest.

The bear roared, staggering backwards. It swayed unsteadily for a moment, before falling to the ground with a resounding thud.

Adria panted heavily, looking down at the corpse.

"Alex! Are you okay?!" she called out, dropping the gun and rushing over to him.

"Y-Yeah..." he answered, trying to get up, but failing. His body was too tired and weak.

When she got closer and knelt before him, Alex hugged her tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

"I was so scared, Adria," he choked, "I thought... I thought...!"

"It's alright, my sweet Alex. I'm here now." Adria hugged him back, gently stroking his hair. "I'm so sorry for putting you in danger. I was careless."

"I was so afraid for you, Adria," he whimpered, "I'm sorry, I couldn't help you..."

"Shh... it's okay. I'm fine. You saved me, Alex. That stone distracted the beast, giving me an opening."

"B-But..." he stammered, "I...I'm..."

Adria smiled tenderly and placed a finger on his lips.

"No buts," she said softly, "You're brave and strong, my love."

Alex sniffled and wiped away his tears.

"You're amazing, Adria. I don't deserve someone like you."

"Nonsense. You're perfect. I wouldn't have it any other way."

Alex blushed and looked away shyly.

"Now, let's go home," Adria said, "It's getting dark. I'm sure, little brother is getting worried."

"O-Okay," he agreed, still trembling slightly. "But you wound is..."

"Ah, this?" she said, touching the cut on her leg, "Don't worry, it's just a scratch. I'll patch myself up later."

"N-no... l-let me," Alex insisted.

Adria laughed lightly and nodded.

"Alright. Let's patch me up."

Adria retrieved Alex's bag with herbs and ointments and he tended to her wounds. He cleaned and dressed the cuts on her arms and legs, applying antiseptic ointment and bandages. Especially the biggest wound she got on her leg. His hands trembled as he worked, still shaken by the near-death experience.

"Thank you, my sweet Alex," she said, smiling warmly, "I appreciate your help. You're so caring."

After he finished patching her up, she pulled him into a tight embrace.

"Let's go home," she murmured, kissing him on the cheek.

"Y-Yes," he said, returning the hug.

He tried to get up again, but his legs were still too weak to stand.

"Here, let me carry you," Adria said, scooping him up into her arms.

"I can walk," he protested weakly, but she ignored him, carrying him towards the sleigh.

"I'm sorry for making you do this, Adria."

"It's fine, my dear. I'm just glad you're safe. That's all that matters to me."

"Th-Thank you."

Adria carried Alex all the way back to the sleigh and placed him inside. She retrieved the gun and threw the dead bear a cold look.

"Damn beast," she muttered, "I'll feed it to my bitches."

Next, she calmed the horses down, got into the sleigh, and started driving back towards Claywater.

The ride back home was quiet, with Alex still shaken from the bear attack. He leaned against Adria, seeking comfort in her warmth and strength. She held him close with one arm, gently stroking his hair.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that, my Alex" she said softly. "But don't dwell on it too much. The danger has passed."

Alex nodded, though images of the snarling beast still flashed through his mind.

When they arrived back at the manor, Max came running out, frantic with worry.

"Brother! You're finally back! I was so scared something happened to you!" He threw his arms around Alex, tears welling up his eyes.

Alex returned the hug weakly. "I'm alright, Max. Just a little shaken up."

Max looked to Adria questioningly. She gave him a reassuring smile.

"We ran into a bear, but I took care of it. Your brother is safe now."

Max's eyes went wide. "A bear?! Good heavens!"

"Let's go inside where it's warm," Adria suggested, putting an arm around Alex's shoulders. "I'll tell you the whole story there."

Once settled by the fire, Adria recounted the harrowing bear attack while Alex rested silently, taking comfort in the familiar surroundings.

"...And then your brother distracted it at just the right moment by hitting its eye. That gave me an opening to grab my gun and finish it off."

Max looked at Alex with awe. "You saved Lady Adria?"

Alex blushed. "I-I just threw a rock. She's the one who killed it."

Adria grinned. "Don't sell yourself short, darling. You were very brave."

Alex smiled bashfully.

Max put a hand on Alex's shoulder. "I'm glad you're okay, big brother. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."

"Thanks, Max. I'm glad you're alright too."

The two brothers shared a warm embrace.

"I think it's time we call it a night," Adria announced, stifling a yawn.

"Oh, yes, of course," Max replied, standing up. "Please, sleep well, brother. We'll talk more tomorrow."

Adria bid the brothers goodnight and left the manor.

As she went toward Lockinge, a vicious frown formed on her face.

***

Adria looked over the lifeless bear, its blood staining the snow. Her dragoons would certainly love the meat. And the fur would also come in handy. The loved their meat more gamey and beastly like that.

Her chest filled with rage.

"That damned beast had nearly killed my beloved Alex."

She spat on its corpse.

"Wretched monster," she snarled. "You'll burn in hell for this."

She remembered Alex's tear-streaked face, trembling in fear. Her heart ached at the memory. She wished she could erase it from his mind, to take away his pain and sorrow.

That sight of his filled Adria with fury. Her poor, sweet Alex was traumatized. And it was this cursed animal's fault.

She looked down at the bear's lifeless eyes.

"Damn you!" she shouted and kicked it viciously, cursing its existence.

"I'll make sure your death was not in vain," she said coldly, "My dragoons will feast on your flesh and skin tonight."

***

That night, the bear's carcass was skinned and cooked. The dragoons devoured the meat eagerly, enjoying every last bite. They praised their mistress for bringing them such a fine meal.

Adria smiled smugly, basking in their gratitude. She enjoyed seeing her bitches happy. It pleased her greatly. Because, if they weren't happy, they tended to misbehave. Well, punishing them from time to time, wasn't all that bad either.

Afterwards, the dragoons gathered around a bonfire, singing songs and drinking to their hearts' content. They were cheerful and lively, revelling in the joy of being alive.

Adria sat amongst them, enjoying their company. They were her family, her loyal companions. And she cherished each and every one of them.

"To Lady Adria!" one dragoon shouted, raising a mug of ale.

"To Lady Adria!" the others echoed, cheering loudly.

"Haha, cheers, you fucking bitches!" Adria exclaimed.

The dragoons roared with laughter, clinking their mugs together.

Adria looked up at the stars, feeling content. She had good food, good drink, and good company. If only Alex let her have her way with him, she would have no worries in the world. But her beloved was still reluctant.

"I feel so horny tonight, because of this beast's meat," she thought. "Guh, that sweet and gamey taste makes me want to fuck someone. It's like my pussy is begging to be penetrated. I can't hold it any longer. I must have sex. But, not just anyone. I want Alex. He is the only one."

She smirked.

"He's so shy and adorable, that I just can't help myself. I'll have him someday. I'll take him by force, if I have to. No, I can't do it by force. He needs to accept me first. He must give himself to me willingly. I can't violate his innocence. He would never forgive me. And the Goddess would smack my sorry ass and send me to hell. But the wait is agonizing. No, no, no, I have to wait. But I can't wait too long. My lust for him is growing stronger every day."

She took a deep breath and sighed.

"Why must it be so difficult? Why can't he just let me ravage his beautiful body?"

Adria shook her head, clearing her thoughts.

"No, I have to be patient. He'll come around eventually. I know he will. Until then, I'll just have to settle for fantasizing about him."

She laughed quietly to herself, imagining the things she would do to Alex.

"My sweet Alex, how I yearn for you," she thought.

As she was reminiscing her time with Alex, a dragoon sat next to her and asked, "Lady Adria, what's troubling you? You seem lost in thought."

"Ah, it's nothing," she said, shrugging. "Just thinking about stuff."

"You're not getting sentimental, are you?" the dragoon joked.

"Ha! As if," Adria scoffed, "I'm just horny and want to fuck."

"Haha, so even Lady Adria had it in her" the dragoon teased, "But I understand, it's been a while since you banned us from putting our hands on any sweet boys, here. It's frustrating. We can only masturbate, because we can't leave the camp."

"You stupid bitches," Adria scolded, "I had banned you, because I don't want you to molest and rape my precious Alex. He's mine and I don't share. And don't even think of laying hands on any others, I don't want any misbehaviour and bad blood with the villagers. Keep those filthy twats off any innocent boys, or else I will have to cut them off. You know, I can't let you behave like a pack of wild beasts."

"Relax, Lady Adria, we are your obedient bitches," the dragoon replied, "We would never disobey your orders. But it sure is a shame, because that little cutie of yours would have surely looked even cuter, while getting gangbanged. We could have all taken turns with him."

"No, no, no, no. You dumb bitches better not even think of raping him. He is a treasure. A jewel. And he's mine. If you touch him, I will personally feed you your own genitals. Do you understand?"

"We understand, Lady Adria, no worries. You don't have to be so possessive and jealous."

"Of course, I'm jealous. He is the most precious thing in the world to me. His beauty, his purity, his innocence. Everything about him is perfect. I would kill anyone who dared harm him."

The dragoon laughed heartily.

"Ahahaha, yes, Lady Adria. You are really in love with him."

"Yeah, I am. There's no doubt about that. Anyway, just get back to your drinking, you bitch. I'm tired of talking."

The dragoon nodded and returned to her comrades.

Adria sighed and leaned back, staring up at the stars.

"My sweet Alex, how I wish you would give yourself to me. How I long for your embrace. My heart aches with longing. When will you finally surrender to me?"

She closed her eyes, imagining Alex's soft lips pressed against hers.

His shy, delicate form, wrapped in her arms. His beautiful body, writhing in pleasure as she caressed him. His sweet moans and gasps, filling her ears. His tear-stained cheeks, blushing crimson.

Adria smiled softly, lost in her fantasy.

"My dear, sweet Alex. I can't wait to make love to you. To feel your body beneath mine. To hear you cry out in ecstasy as I ravage you. To see your beautiful face, contort in rapture. To taste your sweetness.

"Oh, Alex. My darling. My precious jewel. I love you."

Adria sighed wistfully and opened her eyes.

She chuckled.

"I have really gone soft, huh?"

Adria drank a lot that night.

She had never felt so lonely.

"Fuck, why did I have to fall for that cute boy?"

After that night, few days passed, with Adria visiting the manor.

Adria had become a frequent visitor at the manor. She and Alex spent time together, reading books, playing chess, or just talking. They enjoyed each other's company.

Lady Marget sat in the study of the Perinth noble's manor, poring over reports and maps. As rittmeister, she was tasked with recruiting skilled soldiers and officers for the brewing war against the Northern Kingdom of Stogalla.

Marget had heard rumours of a fierce warrior woman named Lady Adria who led a company of dragoons. According to accounts, Adria had raided and ambushed Stogallan forces with great success. She seemed precisely the type of commander Marget was looking for.

The only drawback was that Lady Adria was currently stationed near the village of Lockinge, quite a distance from Perinth. Marget considered making the journey there to meet Adria in person and assess her capabilities. With the Stogallan invasion imminent, there was little time to waste.

For now, Stogallans were mostly checking the waters on Pelinea's borders, but their troops were massing near the border. They had been seen crossing over and spying on the Holy Republic.

The full-scale war could start anytime.

"I must secure that woman's support as soon as possible," Marget thought.

But, before she could head toward Lockinge, the door to her study flew open, and her assistant, Lady Karin, burst in.

"Lady Marget!" she exclaimed.

"What is it, Karin?" Marget asked, a little annoyed at the interruption.

"Pardon me, Lady Marget. An urgent message has arrived for you. It's from nearby Claywater. You must read it at once."

Marget took the letter from Karin and scanned its contents. Her expression turned grim.

"Lockinge was burned to the ground and... Master Alex, the young noble of Claywater, was kidnapped? What is this? Who could have done this?"

Karin remained silent, watching her mistress anxiously.

Marget cursed under her breath.

"This is terrible news. I have to leave for Claywater immediately."

"What should I do, Lady Marget?" Karin asked.

"Send a messenger to the village. I need to know exactly what happened there. Then prepare the carriage. We're leaving for Claywater as soon as possible."

"Yes, Lady Marget," Karin replied, hurrying out of the study.

Marget leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.

"Please, Goddess. Let my hunch be wrong. Don't let it be her..."

Marget prayed, as if the Goddess herself would answer her.

"Please, let it not be her."

When Marget reached Claywater, the entire village was in a state of shock and despair. Marget was led to the manor house, which was surrounded by all the able-bodied villagers. Men were distraught, crying and wailing, while the women were standing guards, holding weapons, ready to fight.

"What is going on here?" Marget asked.

"Lady Marget! Thank the Goddess you have arrived," an elderly man said, running toward her. "We are devastated. Master Alex, our lord and treasure, has been kidnapped by that horrible woman."

"What woman?" Marget inquired.

"L-Lady Adria," the old man said. His voice cracked, tears running down his cheeks.

Marget felt her heart sink. She feared the worst.

"Tell me what happened," she said calmly.

"It's horrible," the old man sobbed. "Lady Adria came here a few days ago and stayed at the manor. She and Master Alex got along very well, spending much time together. But last night, a huge fire broke out at the nearby village, Lockinge. We suspect it was Lady Adria's doing, but we can't prove it. T-Then, Lady Adria came here, and barricaded herself, together with young masters, Alex and Max, in the Claywater Manor."

"Why did she do that?" Marget asked.

"That... is something only Lady Adria can tell you,” The old man said, bowing his head. "All we know is, she was seen setting the fire at Lockinge. And she came here afterwards."

"So, Lady Adria was the one who started the fire," Marget mused.

"It's possible," the old man said. "The entire village is destroyed. Only a few houses were spared. There were no survivors."

Marget closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.

"Thank you for your information," she said.

"Lady Marget, please save the young masters," the old man pleaded.

Then, a woman interrupted them.

"Lady Marget, if I may..."

"Who are you?" Marget asked suspiciously.

"I am Gabele, sworn shield to the brothers Alex and Max," she replied. "I have been guarding the brothers ever since we were young. I will do anything to protect the two. So, I humbly request to join you in rescuing them."

Marget looked the woman up and down. Though she dressed plainly, her muscular frame and calloused hands marked her as a seasoned fighter.

"Very well, Gabele. I acknowledge your determination. However, the situation is quite complicated. So, tell me everything you know."

Gabele nodded. Then she proceeded to tell Marget everything.
