NAC = Not A Chapter ;)
I'm just feeling great and want to share something.
The last chapter I uploaded,
I was planning to upload a chapter once a day, but this mishap means there won't be a chapter for today, July 24 as it was already uploaded an hour early. Sorry, readers who are finally getting into the story. This will be a slight test to your patience (which I know is actually pretty long, since some of you may even be reading fictions here on RRL that are on indefinite hiatus, and are indefinitely waiting for an indefinite update XD).
So, I just woke up an hour ago. It's about 8 am here right now, and I have approximately 40 hours to upload the 4th chapter which has not yet been drafted. It will come out within 40 hours, don't worry (unless real life stuff really goes wrong, I heard there are 2 storms entering our country. Pray to Orlanth (KODP reference) that we won't have a power outage here or a messed up Internet connection).
I also want to share my writing process to you, and tell me if it's actually good or bad. Opinions may differ, but that's the way it is.
I always start with the concept in my head. Every time I'm not doing anything like playing on the PSP (old, I know, but I don't have the money to buy better gaming consoles. Will you donate if I set up a paypal donation feature? ;) ), reading manga and webnovels, or playing visual novels, I end up staring into blankness, thinking of what to write. I have a restless mind, and my mom was scared that I was going crazy. That's why I started to write, so I won't go crazy.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
As many of you may have noticed, Hazard Frontier has a Monster Hunter or Gods Eater feel to it. Well, yeah. I've been playing on the PSP, so it's not undeniable that I have gotten inspiration from those two.
So, after thinking of a concept, I'll write an outline of at least 1 to 2 chapters ahead. Right now, there's only the concept for chapter 4, and it's looking quite awesome. Two lines of a summary what's going to happen in the chapter, lol.
When there's already a concept, on my free time or when I'm physically busy like 'depositing' in the toilet, taking a bath, or trying to fall asleep (I'm a caffeine addict, I chug down coffee like it's water), I imagine what's going to happen and keep it all in my head. Some of you may think this is inefficient, since I might forgot it. That's true, but I can't write on paper. I need to type directly in the computer (that means I'm lazy. yeah I dont take down notes in class).
At night, when I've thought up of something solid, I sneak out of bed and type the story (my mom forbids me from staying up late). I do the editing along, then do a proofread before and after posting the chapter (I don't abuse the
And that's how you get your chapters.
Now, let me get back to writing. I feel better sharing all that. Haha.
Feel free to comment and critique, as well as rate my fiction (I know it's still only three chapter, but well, who doesn't like being rated, especially if you're quite confident in your story).
Thanks for reading this.
On a side note, should I actually ask for donations? muhaha. I need a better computer. The one I'm using right now experiences BSOD at least once a week :|
