Warships scatter the horizon, crashing through the waves near the harbour.
The refugees, too many to count, gather round the docks and surrounding landscape hoping to get onto one of the rescue ships.
In the distance they can all hear the sound being created by the Haven battleships.
“LEVIATHAN” someone screams as the aircraft comes into view through the clouds.
Sirens immediately begin to sound off as the offshore battlements attempt to shoot down the Leviathan.
Panic ensues amongst the frightened refugees as they begin to run for cover.
To make its entrance known loud and clear, the Leviathan shoots one of its large rail guns at a zeppelin over the harbour, it immediately explodes and brakes in-two.
Not even a moment later a bombardment begins from the Leviathan, buildings and warehouses erupt into flames from the explosions.
The Red Giants begin to fire upon the warships docked in port, not able to get away many of them sink halfway, one of them even capsizes onto the shore.
The air force shoots across the sky engaging with the enemy in an attempt to protect the refugees.
But it’s no use, it’s clear to see they are heavily outgunned, the body toll begins to rise as more and more people are killed.
Children crouch screaming, along with the many injured, blood mixes in with the seawater staining the sandy beaches, and bodies float about in the sea.
“FIRE!” General Cooper can be heard demanding as the long-range guns from the battlements erupt into action.
“ALL AIRCRAFT ENGAGE THE RED GIANTS” he instructs the air force through a speaker.
“FIRE MISSILES!” He continues to instruct the soldiers.
“General, a message inbound from Haven” a soldier informs him and he heads into a control room.
A live feed on one of the large screens inside is already connected as he walks into the room.
“General Cooper, this is Admiral Blackcroft from Haven, we will be assisting you in anyway we can” She informs him.
“We need time to evacuate the refugees, is there anything you can do about the Leviathan?” He asks.
“We’ll give you as much time as we can, unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the Leviathan” she replies.
“The ships will be leaving at dusk” she informs him.
“Thank you” he replies, and heads back out of the room.
Screaming can be heard from the streets of the city built up around the docks.
Buildings collapse crushing fleeing individuals as the Leviathan continually bombards the city.
The warships, now in range, also begin to bombard the city.
“I don’t think we’re getting out of here” Thomas states looking out of the terminal.
“Kyle, the ships are heading in, we need to leave now” one of the Haven soldiers tells him.
“Don’t worry Thomas, we’ll get you out of here” he reassures him as an aircraft erupts into flames on the runway having been hit by the bombardment.
The terminal is hit shattering glass everywhere and leaving a gaping hole at the far side.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
“Apparently escape craft are coming to collect us, we need to head to the cliffs further along the shore” another informs them.
An aircraft can be seen coming into view from over the cliffs.
“Your majesty this is Caelum Timore” a female pilot informs him, through the screen intercom system onboard.
“Nice to see Flumina has still got some fight left in it” Nathan greets her.
"Light em up" he instructs.
“Yes sir” she replies.
Projectiles pour down hurling towards the enemy ships, two are immediately blown up, the explosion can be seen by Thomas and the others fleeing towards the cliffs.
“FIRE TORPEDOES!” Blackcroft demands.
“All torpedoes fire, fire, fire” sailors instruct each other.
The large tubular water bombs plough into an enemy vessel, creating a huge explosion.
Rescue ships have made it to port and soldiers are trying to get as many people onboard as quickly, and safely as physically possible.
The Leviathan suddenly turns its attention to a rescue ship leaving port, mainly full of young individuals.
“CA … CAPTAINNNN!” A soldier screams realizing they are its next target.
“HARD TO PORT!” The captain instructs his officers.
The quick decision narrowly saves the ship as a huge blast of water cascades onto it from a missile exploding in the water.
“FULL SPEED AHEAD!” They continue to demand.
“Zeppelins inbound” A soldier in the air traffic control tower states at the airport.
The zeppelins immediately open fire on the Red Giants.
“We can’t outrun it sir” the officer informs the captain of the ship being targeted by the Leviathan.
“Fuck” the captain growls.
A round of missiles shoots down at the ship, but to everyone’s surprise, it explodes halfway before making it.
A group of drones from the Heaven's Gate have released flak into the air intercepting the bombardment.
“Good afternoon your majesty” Angelus greets the king over the intercom.
“Angelus, time for you to live up to your name, use shock and awe, search and destroy” Nathan instructs the drone firmly.
“Yes your majesty” Angelus replies, the drone and the others around it, change colour to red on the various lighting panels around them, Angelus begins to let out a deafening screeching whilst zooming across the battlefield.
They begin to attack anything that gets in their way.
The many escape crafts land over at the cliffs where Thomas and Kyle are waiting with the other Haven soldiers.
“Got quite a predicament going on over here ain’tchya, hop onboard” the captain from Heaven’s Gate greets them.
“See Thomas, I told you we’d make it” Kyle tells him helping him onto the escape craft.
They take off leaving the fighting behind and head out in the opposite direction of the docks over the sea.
Thomas watches all the explosions happening as they get further away.
“HELPPPP! SOMEONE PLEASE! HELP ME!” Sebastian screams holding onto some debris in the water.
“SURVIOR IN THE WATER” A sailor yells down the ship.
Some sailors jump into the water and swim over to Sebastian.
By this point he has passed out in exhaustion, a helicopter overhead hovers above them and a bed is winched down to him.
The sailors get him onto it before giving a thumbs up to the helicopter, slowly he is winched up.
