Chapter 7.1: A light toast

Part 2A: Celebratory Toast and Reminiscences

The group is gathered around a spread of food and drink, the mood light and festive.

Caelin: (raising his cup with a smile) "Alright, everyone, let’s raise our cups! To Hikari, the newest member of our unlikely family!"

Group: (lifting their cups) "To Hikari!"

After the toast, the group members relax, eating and chatting. Caelin turns to Tatsuya.

Caelin: "You know, Tatsuya, when you first showed up, I think we were all a bit wary. A stranger from another world? That's not exactly an everyday occurrence for us."

Tatsuya: (nodding) "I could sense that. I'm just glad I was able to find my place among you all."

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

Liria: (chiming in) "It's more than finding a place, Tatsuya. You've become a part of our lives, and now with Hikari... it feels like our group has gained something precious."

Rin, overhearing the conversation, joins in with her usual playful demeanor.

Rin: "Oh, absolutely! And let's not forget the entertainment value. I mean, Tatsuya, some of your early attempts at our customs were... let’s just say, memorable!"

The group laughs, including Tatsuya, who takes the teasing in stride.

Kael: (with a rare grin) "I still remember when Tatsuya tried to help me with hunting. It was... an interesting day."

Tatsuya: "Interesting is one way to put it. I think I learned more about what not to do that day!"

Arak, usually more reserved, adds his perspective.

Arak: "I must admit, your arrival brought a new dynamic to our group. It's been a learning experience for all of us. And now, with Hikari’s arrival, it feels like we’re starting a new chapter."

Syla: "Indeed, it's like one of my stories come to life. An unexpected twist that leads to new adventures."

Toran: (raising an eyebrow) "Well, speaking of stories, Syla, I think it's your turn to share one. How about something fitting for this occasion?"

Syla, always ready with a tale, nods.

Syla: "Ah, let’s see... How about the tale of the Star Weaver? It’s a story of bringing together disparate threads to create something beautiful, much like our group."

As Syla begins her story, the group settles in to listen, their faces illuminated by the flickering light of the torches, each reflecting their own thoughts and feelings.
