The year is 3022, the muggle and wizarding world have since long intertwined and after some initial disputes, wizards have had to integrate into the much larger muggle society. As such, discoveries within both science and magic have flourished and new disciplines seeking to utilize the scientific method to discover the hidden truths of magic have been created. 

However, this integration of wizards into muggle society has also spawned ghosts with the knowledge of science. These souls have the gift of centuries to dedicate in the pursuit for knowledge. Not only that, but with human helpers they can do most of the things any person could. As such, a new class of nobility has emerged. With nearly unlimited resources, political influence and access to knowledge, these eternal beings preside over the earth. Any resistance to their power is crushed with a fist of steel.
