"Okay, then.", The wand said to Annie, "Let's proceed.".
Annie nodded, removed Teddy from her lap, and put him in that same coat pocket she had had him earlier.
He started moving his hands in protest, but Annie pretended she was not listening to him and let him do it.
He could either cope with it or become irritated. She knew he would come around and she didn't want to spoil him too much lest he become too spoiled.
Anyway, right now she had work to do.
She got up on her feet and looked at the wand that was still on the ground.
Raising her eyebrows at it, she asked, "Should I… take you in my pocket or something?"
"No need for that.", the wand replied.
Annie watched as it rose above the ground and flew around her while saying, "I can't move freely on my own whenever the powers of a wizard are confining me. Then I become an immovable object. But without a wizard to command me, I can do whatever I want… listen to whomever I want. Like I'm listening to you right now."
Watching this beautiful wand create such a simple but highly effective movement, Annie understood the potential of the material that was used to make it. Her mind which was filled with her imagination started shifting toward the basics of what a good wand is. The material and the core.
Honestly, that shouldn't have been a surprise to Annie at this point, but that human innocent part of her who still thought that this was all a fairy tale gave her the element of surprise or shock every single time.
"That's a good thing.", she replied, not really being sure what to say.
Now, flying straight ahead in front of Annie, the wand ordered, "Now, follow me."
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Annie nodded and followed the wand.
Now, walking in a straight line behind the wand, Annie wondered, 'How far could the potion station that the wand created could be? I think it wouldn't be too close to them because of how many magical beasts were in the proximity around them.'
She was in Newt's suitcase after all and she knew the wand had already made up a plan that was at least two steps ahead of her. They were in for a long walk.
Annie would get tired, but with what was all around them, she didn't mind and said out loud, "I would rather enjoy it. And I will finally get to do something to pass my time with."
Time passed and Annie figured it would be best if she could just shut her mind right now regarding anything, really. She just looked out in front of her. The magical sky glowed over, and even though she knew it was not real, she allowed herself to get lost in it.
She was risking her walking safely, but she was just mesmerized by the colors.
When she finally looked down, they were not in a forest anymore, but in a jungle. It was hot, and on top of that dry, which made it even more unbearable for her as she carried on walking.
Instead of birds, now she could hear monkeys screaming from near and far. The sounds hurt her ears and she was ready to run and make them shut up when,
"Monkey girl, back to earth!", the wand called out to her.
Annie groaned out loud and thought, 'Finally! It said something after so many hours.'
"We've reached our destination, I presume?", She asked.
"Yes.", replied the wand.
Not even a second after its words echoed through the almost endless jungle, their surroundings changed once again.
Annie now stood in front of a pink couch, a fireplace looming in front. There was a kitchen on the left and the right...
"WOAH!", exclaimed Annie as her eyes brightened up. Her mouth hung open and she had an amazed smile on her lips as she stared at multiple shelves filled with small bottles, even better, vials.
Her eyes trailed in front of the shelves and she couldn't help but jump for joy while shouting, "OH MY GODDD!! A REAL POTION STATION!!"
Annie ran toward the table and exclaimed as she glanced at every piece of equipment placed on it, "A juicing board! Brass scales! Mortar and pestle! And..."
She gulped and murmured excitedly, "A cauldron! Just like a cauldron from the fairytales! That too a silver one! This one's extremely rare!"
Annie put her hand under her chin and murmured, "I need to be very careful while using it. I can't be doing t-"
The wand interrupted her by saying, "Uhh.. old girl?"
"What?", replied Annie and looked at it.
"The thing is...", the wand replied, "You won't be able to use it."
"W-WHAT?!?!"
