'WELCOME STUDENTS': placed on every entrance gate of Xyrale High School, a tarpaulin that warmly acknowledged the first day of school not just for the new batch of learners, but also for the higher years.
Stood beside the red colored eccentric designed movable barrier in Gate One, was a ten-year-old statue of a man known as the founder of this institution and also as the first Head Teacher of the School: Mr. Xyrale Eric.
Made of marble-like stone at its fine chiseling, every contour of the figure was well polished. Even though the sculptured image of Mr. Xyrale was bigger to be called human-sized, it hadn't been a hindrance to make his posture proportional.
Standing straight with his hands on his waist on his prince-like attire, although he appeared to be smiling on everyone who could see him, for he wore a bicorne hat, he wasn't revealing his eyes. With his stance of a voyager, everyone didn't know where he was looking.
By the time the wind whipped everything that might get along its way, the statue-- to be specific the stone hat-- didn't bulge any micrometer. It remained the same. He was smiling with no assurance to whom he pertained.
The wind passed the statue with a fizzle, as it remained unblocked along its way, it gathered its momentum.
Just a short distance from the icon of the first Principal hung the tarpaulin on the gate. The wind surrendered to the characteristic of the statue, but not on the upcoming large piece of waterproof material.
Although this durable visual aide proved to be large compared to the marble made figure, the wind blew on it swiftly. It made it waved.

Just like a gigantic balloon that had fan on its base and with exhaust on the other end, a commercial business that could afford to have this kind of immensely customer calling object, as it moved uncertainly with its primary goal of waving, same as what was happening to the tarpaulin, it waved as the wind passed by.
The flag ceremony was about to begin. And so everyone must participate to it including the students, teachers, and personnel. Everyone should gather in an open field, organized themselves, and after the prayer which would be led by the newly appointed Head Teacher IV, the flag raising ceremony would undertake.
Just as the Principal was about to blurt her first syllable for the first prayer for the first flag ceremony of the new academic year; just as all the students gave their solemn silence; just as the acacia leaves constantly fell; one moment passed, their attention had been stolen by an upcoming siren that indubitably had entered by the gate.
Synchronized to the opening of the gate where the two panels had been swiveled in different radial orientations, same as what happened to the heads of everyone, they cocked their heads to that particular spot unconsciously.
Jim Cauldron, the chief police of the Municipality of Pulupandan, by the time he heard the noise for the call of duty, understood that the next scenario prior to an ambulance entering the school premise, together with his team, needed their participation.
First and foremost, for today was the first day of school of the only High School in Pulupandan, the students should be oriented about anything in pertained to civil laws: what was prohibited, what was to be in moderate, and what possible sanction if they would be caught doing delinquency.
Nothing more effective speaker than the Police Officers of Pulupandan, especially its Chief of Police: Jim Cauldron.
Everybody placed their sights at the uninvited sedan that slowly made a brake and had already caused a delay to their anticipated flag raising ceremony.
The wheels slowly set on the four points on the ground-- near the vehicle of the AWOL Head Teacher III, Principal Keen Madrigal-- Jim Cauldron, who was currently near on it, approached the ambulance.
By the time the wind blew again, by the time Chief Jim paused and by the time the Ambulance had been parked, one moment passed, the land trembled.
