It had been a few months since your whole period fiasco and the team had adjusted to you pretty well. You were currently in your room at Avengers Tower taking a bath. Steve's workouts were starting to be vigorous and your small stature couldn't take the soreness. Soft violins played in the background the warm water soothed your aching body. You sighed contently and slid in the blue water. You hummed along with the music until you hear F.R.I.D.A.Y.
"(Y/n), I hate to interrupt, but I believe its time for your training session." You sighed at the information.
"Thanks." You stood up and dried yourself off and headed to the gym. You skipped off to the gym, having more energy than expected. When you reached the gym, you found it to be empty and you smiled. You bounded to the end of the gym and began to stretch. You felt a presence but you ignored it since you wanted to get back to your bath as quickly as you can. You did a couple of rounds with a dummy and headed towards the kitchen. Steve, Bucky, and Thor were sitting on the couch having a discussion about who trains the hardest.
"Ah! Lady (y/n), who would you say trains the hardest?" He turned his body towards you.
"Well, Steve does work out hard. And well. Thor, you're a freaking god. And then there's Bucky." You trailed off as you thought to yourself.
"Please, (y/n), " Steve was begging for you to say him. You locked eyes with him as he pleaded.
"Bucky!" You announced. Steve left out a gasp, exaggerating his hurt. Thor let out a groan, sliding back into the couch.
“Well,” You stretched, “Bucky has a metal arm. His metal arm is much stronger than his fleshy arm. So he has to train more to keep the strength balanced.” You shrugged. Steve left out a huff while Bucky flexed.
“But, Steve by far is the strongest.” You skipped out the living room and into your room. You were busy looking for clothes to change into, completely forgetting about your bath.
“(Y/n)?” Steve poked his head into your room.
“You can come in.” You turned around to go hug your soulmate. Except, no one was there.

“Steve?” You called out. You stepped into the hallway only to be met with someone dress in all black.
~Steve's POV~
"She only said that because you're her soulmate." Bucky rolled his eyes at me as he bit into a plum.
"The metal-armed man is right," Thor stated, looking at his muscles. I shook my head and laughed at them. I stood up and looked at my watch. It was about 4 pm which meant I had to start cooking. I decided to make pasta. Halfway through my cooking, Peter came in.
"Hey, Mr Captain. Can I help?" He looked up at me with hopeful eyes. I nodded and Peter stayed under me as he ran around helping. Peter and I were close to being done with the rest of the Avengers began coming out of their rooms. I looked around and I noticed that (y/n) wasn't with us. That's when I noticed the headache.
~Your POV~
The piercing headache is what caused you to wake up. The dim lighting strained your eyes as a dark figure stood in front of you.
"Ah, Agent (y/n). Welcome to Hydra. Let's get started, yes?"
"How about a no?" You glared at the figure. On the inside, you were quite scared and you weren't sure what you were going to be expecting.
"Very funny." The figure walked away. You watched carefully as another figure came in with a needle. As he stepped into the light you could see that he was not much older than Peter.
"I'm sorry about this." You sighed. The boy looked up at you confused and you head-butted him. He stumbled backwards and you kicked the needle from his hand and kicked it into his neck. You grunted as you broke the straps.
"Now to get out of here." You peeked around the corner and made a bolt for the exit. A quick fight had commenced between you and 5 other agents as you made an attempt to hop into one of their jets. A kick and a punch later, you hopped into a jet and made your way back to New York.
~Steve's POV~
I walked around the tower until Bucky came running to me with a gun.
"Hydra took (y/n)" And with that, Bucky and I sprinted out to the helicopter pad where the Quinjet was waiting for us. Everybody else was suited up as Tony tossed me my shield. When I caught it, I felt extremely exhausted.
"We got incoming." Clint pointed to the south as he notched a bow. The rest of us turned towards a helicopter and got ready for the fight.
"Don't... Shoot...please." (Y/n) came over the P.A. system. I lowered my shield, in fear that a Hydra agent would walk out the helicopter with a gun to her head. The helicopter landed and when it did, (y/n) stumbled out holding her side.
"Steve..." She breathed out. She took a few more steps towards me before collapsing. I don't remember most of what happened after that. All I can remember was (y/) putting her hand on my cheek saying 'it's going to be okay". Her breaths became more fragile and less frequent as she held onto the little life she had left. I couldn't understand it. (Y/n) wasn't supposed to die. She wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Her eyes flickered up to the sky as they glassed over and (y/n) took her final breath.
