Love a feeling that brings either joy or sorrow. An emotion that can either fix or break a person. Love that is something that many desire, that many need and yet... many are deprived of this.
Two people a man and a woman ran through the forest in this cold night. Not minding the strong rain and their fatigue they continued to run like this for days, the reason? they were escaping yes, escaping.
The two people arrived at a cave, "Seal" the woman chanted faintly. After which the earth rumbled and the land moved covering the cave. Outside the place where there should be a gaping hole was now perfectly covered making the cave disappear into thin air.
"growth" the woman planted a seed on the ground and chanted. The seed was bathed in a bright green light. It was beautiful the light was gently and lit up the surroundings of the seed. Soon the seed began growing it then grew into a small tree that fitted perfectly in the cave.
"Wind blade"
Now the man chanted as well, wind gathered on the palm of his hands and he shot it towards the tree branches. The fallen branches were then touched by the man as he chanted, "dry". With that the tree branch lost all the moisture in it and begame dried wood perfect for making a small fire. The man then proceeded to cut the branches into perfectly shaped logs with his wind blade.
Piling them up he then pointed his index finger on the pile and then chanted, "Fireball". A ball of fire the size of a baseball appeared out of nowhere and was floating on the mans hand. He drew it closer to the wood and started to burn the pile. After the wood caught on fire he stopped the fire ball and then called the girl over. The shivering woman took off her cloak and clothes as she hung them in a wire created by magic above the fire.
"I'm sorry"
The man said to the woman as he curled up by the fire. The woman sensing how the man felt came closer and hugged him from behind. The man was startled as his body shook, this was not because the womans body was cold in fact it was warm. The reason he shook is because behind him he could feel two soft mounds pressing on his back. The softness of the two mounds made him excited as his little john shot up and hardened.
The woman feeling the increase in the mans temperature made a satisfied smile as she sat beside him and leaned her head on his shoulders.
"You don't have to say sorry after all I asked for this"
The womans words touched the mans heart as he stopped his tears from falling. Yes... as a man he had to keep his dignity, the woman already saw the man crying many times before so he had nothing to hide but that was before now that they were in this situation he had to man up.
"But are you sure you want to throw all of that, your immortality, power and honor for me?"
The man asked the woman.
The woman looked into the mans eyes and answered.
"I don't mind it's better to live a short fulfilled life than a long and everlasting one filled with lonliness and sorrow"
Hearing her answer the man felt happy but... he looked at the woman again...
A perfect figure coupled with skin similar to that of a newborn. She has long silver hair and sparkling golden eyes. Her small red lips and he cheeks that reveal a slight blush make her even more attractive. If that wasn't attractive enough the smell of her that was like that of a field of flowers would attract any mans fancy. But this girl, she's not... human.
Yes the perfect beauty reflected in the man's eyes is not a human. The man knew this and until not he can;t stop asking the question.
"Are you really not regretting stepping down from being a..."
before he could finish his words the long and slender finger of the woman blocked his mouth preventing him from talking. Then the woman said...
"Godhood or divnity that is just a useless title if you don't enjoy it. 'sigh' as I told you I would rather die than lose you."
Hearing her answer the man blurted out laughing
"I am stupid to worry about things like regret or the like."
Looking at the man with a warm and loving gaze the woman similarly made a let out a small giggle as she stared at the man's face. If anyone were to see the face of the man right now that was forcing itself to smile and the way he laughed they could only pity him. But the woman was different she didn't feel anythinglike that instead she felt like she fell in love all over again.
The woman loves the man although he is a mortal much so that she descended onto the land only to marry him and become his wife. Obviously that was not permitted by the religious sects so of course they were persecuted. Of course even if the woman was a god there are limits on the power she got after all descending from the heavens and creating a mortal body is not a simple task. Of course if she were to simply go down in spirit form there would be no problem but she wanted to show the man her love and live with him till their dying breaths.

"We already lost them"
The woman said, it was the truth. Even if she turned to a mortal she still was technically a god so she still has her connections to the gods in the high heavens. Her comapanion god's and goddesses didn't mind her desicion in fact they fully supported it. After all among the gods she was the only one who couldn't find love of course the kind of love the gods mean would be that with them and the mortals. But the gods would not normally do something as reckless as get a humanoid body and descend onto the land to live as a mortal all the other gods were shocked with he desicion but instead of lecturing her they supported her all the way.
In truth the woman is actually very thankful to her companions and friends for their assistance in her quest for love. Of course the man felt the same since he saw the goddes in his dreams he continously prayed to have another chance to meet her. But when he did the church wanted to separate them and so he faught, he killed and slaughtered all those that got in the way of their love. As the woman was a kind an repsectable goddes she didn't want to kill anymore and instead made the desicion to run away and hide with her beloved.
"So we are finally... free"
The man said slowly but a trace of joy was seen in his eyes.
"Yes, we are... my love"
The woman said as she hugged the man lovingly.
The two shadows interwined and a scene that the gods and goddesses knew the meaning of occured. They didn't want to peep on their companion so they peacefully closed the the projection and proceded with their meeting.
"Algania really is having a good time huh"
A cute feminine voice resounded, looking at where the voice came from the source is a little girl looking to be only at the age of six wearing high class clothing seating on a large chair... sulking.
"Little Sally, understand that your aunt is simply attaining her happiness."
A mature woman seating on the chair beside the girls talked.
"Haha, well it is really rare for a god's child to be brought back to heaven after all"
"Well this only happens if the child doesn't inherit the mortal blood of his/her father/mother"
A scientist like man wearing a dirty white lab gown and goggle said amusingly.
"Don't use someone elses child as a test subject!"
The mature woman retorted.
"Mom uncle didn't do anything weird to me but he did give me some mortal candy"
The woman relaxed hearing her daughters words but the last part made her glare even more furiously at the scientist like man.
"Okay okay calm down"
A deep and ancient voice resounded through the hall.
All the gods present looked towards it and in the end of their sights was an old man wearing beautiful golden robes. He has long white hair that extended to his elbows and a long silky smooth white beard that reached his knees.
"As I we all know, even if Algania did turn to a mortal in the end upon her death she would revert to being a god but at the same time her husband would be brought back with her. The thing is that her child if she ever bears one would not be able to come with them."
The old man's words hit everyone like a bullet.
"Bu-but big sis finally found love couldn't we make an exception to this?"
"yeah! I mean we are gods"
Various comments and retorts were shot but none of them hit the old man.
"SILENCE!"
With that the hall turned quiet.
"Algania has already made a contract, in exchange for her selfish desire she could only bring one mortal with her in her death as she gives another mortal bad luck, but if she bears a child the person she the person recieving the curse of bad luck would either be her husband or her child depending on who she brings with her"
With those words the gods kept quiet and just silently nodded.
"Okay then you may all go"
With that the gods left the great hall dejectedly, not one of them had a smile on their face even the lively little Sally understood what happened and holding her mother's hand walked home hanging her head down.
~~ Three years Later ~~
"Uwaa~~"
The cry of a baby resounded in the small hut in the middle of the dense woods.
"It's a boy"
A woman who has long ears and blonde hair said as she wrapped a the crying child in a white cloth and handed him to the woman lying on the bed.
"Honey"
The woman said looking at her bedside where her husband was.
"He's cute isn't he"
Holding the baby in her arms she told the man.
Then the womans face slowly went pale.
"Hi-his name..."
The man held the womans hands tightly.
"Tell me..."
The man said as tears streaked down his face.
"Ce-Cedric, our son... he's Cedric"
With a smile the woman said as she breathed her last breath. The cries of a baby and a man resounded from the house.
----------------------------------------
In a white space,
"You've come Algania"
It's been a long time... father. The woman yes that was Algania one of the many gods who watched over the world. And she died, but that was not because of her father but because of her body. That night three years ago she was hit by a curse from the church. The gods wanted to destroy it but then she needed to go to a church to recieve their blessings. In the end she and her husband decided to live their life to the fullest until she died.
But before she died she got pregnant and her pregnancy came at the time that the curse grew stronger. In fact the sole reason that the child was born is because of the womans spirit. She didn't want the result of her love with her husband be lost because of her. She only wanted to bring him happiness but the only one who recieved was her. But before she could start crying a projection appeared before her eyes and that was...
Her house...
Her husband...
and...
her child...
They were surrounded by men wearing white robes.
"Father this is..."
"Your desicion"
----------------------------------------
In the small house surrounded by white men, a man holding a sword in his right hand and a wand at his left. And a long eared woman holding a crying baby were hidding at the basement of the place.
"Escape with Cedric"
"Bu-but Julius..."
The man looked at the long eared woman who had tears running down her eyes.
"This is my desicion"
"If... if that is then..."
Thw woman looked into the man named Julius' eyes.
"I will take care of him and raise him as my own, I swear on my life!"
"Please do"
Julius gave a final glance to the woman and the baby she held in her arms.
"I'm... sorry"
The words he uttered were as soft as a whisper but those words were still picked up by the long eared woman. With a face covered in tears she she muttered.
"Create [tunnel]"
Then a small tunnel appeared she entered and when she did the hole closed and a line of light appeared. She ran with all her might carrying the child tightly in her embrace. As she ran through the tunnel the place she passed by collapsed.
The men clad in white robes inspected the burned down house but didn't find anything. The cries of a baby were drowned in the burning fire and the loud incantions that they did. With a satisfied smile the leader of the men turned his face away and walked away from the house where two corpses that of a man and a woman were line up together on top of the ashes...
