Walking to the camp was peaceful. There were birds chirping, the gentle sway of the wind blowing the grass, and a light smell of iron. If you had sharp senses like mine, you would be able to smell it, but the flowers masked the scent of blood on the pathway. But that wasn't important; what I needed was information.
"So, muscle brains, I'm kind of new around here. Would you mind explaining a few things?" I asked in what I thought was a calm, authoritative voice, but he clearly didn't like it, judging by the way his eye was twitching.
"What do you want to know?" he asked.
"Everything... Go big or go home, right?" I replied.
"Very well. Listen carefully, traveler. I am only saying this story once."
"The world of Avalon was born from a collision of great energy. It is told that the god Seres, the god of Blood, War, and Forging, fell to the space Avalon now resides in after a great battle with the Ferifs, a race of darkness, hunger, and never-ending rage. With his life bleeding away, his immortal soul fractured, and his very godhood fading, he prayed to the All, and the All answered his prayers. From his blood came the crystal core of Avalon, from his soul came the people, and from his godly powers came their power. His body was taken by the All and used as a blueprint for what the races should look like. But it wasn’t enough. Avalon still couldn’t exist as just a crystal core, so the All changed the law of gravity. Every speck of dirt, from the smallest particle to the largest planet, came rushing into the crystal. A whole universe was destroyed, and after the supernovae, explosions, and the destruction of planets and life, all that was left was a giant ball of earth with metals. Avalon had a body but no water and no way to sustain life, and the universe was empty except for this one planet. So, the All took Seres' eyes, and from them came our two suns.
The All called the other gods; only three answered. The others were all dead from the Ferifs. The billion-year war ended, and both sides lost badly, preparing for a future if they had one left. The three were: Ca, goddess of light, healing, and blessings; Jorgon, god of nature, elements, and souls; and Deandis, god/goddess of justice, revenge, dimensions, and energy.
After knowing what happened, the All paused and said, 'My children, we have lost a lot today. We lost friends, family, loved ones, but no more. This will be our new home. The Ferifs are recovering, and it will take time for them to recover. By then, our legacy shall be ready. Seres' sacrifice will not be in vain.' From Ca's tears came the ocean, and her soul made the stars. From Jorgon's will came all the animals, monsters, beasts, trees, and natural elements. From Deandis came the afterlife, where new souls are made, and old ones are destroyed or reincarnated.

The All, pleased with the progress, disappeared with the gods, only to act through their avatars or devoted followers. So Avalon was made—a land of impossibility with strife, war, and, if you were strong enough, peace. The races were Niavians, a race of winged bipeds with ten toes and fingers, like all races on Avalon, with blond, brown, or black hair. They all have blue eyes, from the clear sky to the coldest tundra. The Mans are a race exactly like the humans of old with the same cosmetic looks. The Djons are a race of horned beings that love nature, with luscious green hair or short green hair. All their hair is different shades of green. They are a very active race that loves to help out nature, keeping the kingdom clean. The Eflin are a race of long-eared people with the most exotic eye colors around and the best magic users in all the kingdom, able to use every single element. The Aquians are an aquatic race with gills on their necks, fins on their arms and legs, and a jewel on their foreheads since birth, giving them powerful mental abilities from telekinesis to telepathy. These races coexist peacefully most of the time, but there are certain extremists or groups who think they are better or deserve more. But the threat of the Ferifs always takes precedence.
The kingdom of the Niavians exists in the clouds and mountaintops. They hold the most complete library in all the nine kingdoms of Astreal. Astreal is a continent in Avalon, one of the five continents—well, one of the last hospitable ones. The Ferifs have taken two continents already, and they grow stronger every second. The continents are: Astreal, a plain area full of mountains, floating islands, and lakes with crystal spikes almost everywhere; Uthel, a cold and mountainous place with snow, ice, rain, and sunshine. Mostly the Djons live there, with their inherent elemental magic giving them the ability to survive in harsh temperatures. Fahell, taken by the Ferifs, used to be a grassy plain full of wonderful waterfalls and forests, but now it’s a rotting place full of freakish monsters spawned by the Ferifs to kill everything they see, even themselves sometimes. Azarath is a muddy and rainy country where the sun never seems to shine. It is relatively unvisited or populated since no one goes there. Dias, with its famous deserts and oases, has a normally hot temperature during the day and cool during the night.
Out of all the five continents, only Astreal is civilized. The others have small villages or use their own systems. The nine kingdoms of Astreal are ruled by a monarchy, with the king at the top and peasants at the bottom. But because of magic, people are less prone to accept lies, so there is usually an uprising every five or so generations in some of the kingdoms. There are universal rules in all the kingdoms, like the law of time to never use time magic to change a past event. The law of gravity, which is to not mess with gravity on a large scale because you might become a singularity if your magic gets out of control. The law of attraction, which states that all elements of the same type attract and those of opposite types repel. Each of the nine kingdoms has its own laws. Some are harsher than others, some more relaxed, but all the races intermingle. It is possible for two beings of different races to have a child, and the child would end up being one race or another, while the child’s children, even if they are born from parents of the same species, can be different because of genes."
