Hello everyone, this is CloudLike, the author. I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that this story did not gain traction. Obviously, the writing isn’t good enough. But I’m an ambitious individual, and I would like to have my hard work rewarded in some way shape or form. Whether that be by way of reaching more people, or potentially even making some money off of it.
Because of this, I have decided to drop the novel, and I shall use the analogy of a tree to explain my logic and point of view.
A tree, if it starts with unfortunate conditions, lacking water or care or even sunlight, will grow crooked and not bear any fruit, or bless anyone with beautiful flowers in the spring.
This story is only thirty thousand words long so far, but to be fair to myself, it is not that interesting. Despite the beginning of a webnovel being required to be engaging and entertaining, with unique events happening at every turn, well, In my opinion that doesn’t happen in this story. Yes, I could make it better eventually, but you have to look at this story like a one year old sapling that has been trampled on by a bully, and now it will always crooked, no matter how much the caretaker tries to help it.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The only way I see to fix it is to completely rewrite the story so far, and put more effort into the work. But when I think about retreading the same ground, my heartbeat quickens and my mouth grows parched, as if I’m about to be thrust into an endless desert devoid of any dopamine.
I derive no pleasure from complete rewrites.
If somehow anyone read the story up until this note, I would like to apologize. You probably wish to hear of no excuse or reason why the story you’ve been reading was a waste of your time.
But just like many of the characters I write, I want to be better. Or at the very least try.
Again, if you really wanted more from this story, I’m sorry for being incompetent and dropping it. I will work hard to make sure I don’t have to drop another webnovel again.
