The training hall was a huge metallic building with no apparent outdoor sign, as soon as I enter I was greeted by young girl who has black hair and blue eyes, dressed in some sort of uniform (forgive me for not having any sense for clothing)

"Welcome to Marc training hall, do you wish enroll" she asks with a buisness smile, to which I simply nod.

"Then please choose your method of payment, you can pay directly or work for us to pay for the course"

"I will work and also the advanced course please and yes I will enlist in mining program for a month" I say without giving her time to respond, i got all these info from the updated database.

A little surprised, but not losing her smile she nods and gives me a ID plate then leads me to the place I can train.

First is shooting turrent, honestly I sucked at it, but nothing worse that a few hours of practice can't fix, with little (lot) advise from the girl I get 80% accuracy after 6 hours of practise.

Next was piloting, surprisingly it was easy to me, I aced it in an hour which surprised the girl very much.

Next, mining, which was similar to piloting only difference is instead of avoiding things correctly, you ram the drill into it at the right place, aced it in an hour.

Next was dodging and shooting physically the above all were done in simulator capsule but this needs to be done physically, not so surprisingly I sucked big time, took me a whole dam day to even get a passing grade.

Now the girl was surprised I didn't need any rest or intake nor outlet, apparently she thought I was human, as I explained she was even more surprised and asked why could a robot need any training since they can just update the skill data to get the skill, now it was my turn to be surprised fuck how did I miss that, as I access the database I seem to have all that data, no wonder no skill messages popes up, sigh......how stupid of me, but anyway i increased my proficiency.

The girl had laugh of the day, after calming down she gave me the location i need to go to meet the mining crew, laughing at my own foolishness, at least a little happy i will get extra credit (bucks) if mined more than the quota, which she says couldn't be a problem for me since I am a bot and all.

Now you maybe wondering if the bots are good why not use them fully, but the problem is they cost energy, high maintenance, so that makes it only profitable when used when mining high pay material and rare ones, otherwise people are employed, thus may down the productivity in an area by 60% but considering the sheer amount of people mining it is compensated.

The training centre apparently is operated by a small frame mining company which has subcontracted by bigger ones, though i say small the company is the only one operating within this star system, those who are generally trained here joins the company and after getting some experience try for bigger and better places, mostly though they say with the company.

Anyway I make my way to the crew and introduce myself as humanoid droid, a little surprised but says that I must be newly produced droid types with artifical intelligence, i am surprised myself apparently it seems players are introduced as clones, a.i, champions, summons and whatever not according to the people in their respective places and culture, i.e., advanced human races considers players as clones, those who worship god or godess see them as champions, blessed ones and so on for diffrent races and cultures, i laugh at how ironic it is that I am considered as an A.I. by the orginal A.I.

The captain of the crew is named Bran with brown hair and eyes, with brownish skin, the rest are Paul, Sam, Peter with similar hair and brownish skin, the explain their crew rule is share the total earning i.e., whatever they all mine is sold together and the profit is split evenly, now this maybe a little stupid but this cuts off unwanted jealousy and sabotaging of others work, also if you lag behind too much you are cut of from crew if you don't improve on the next few runs, i accept and they are pretty happy to have a bot, since this brings more income.

Now I can try to explain how wonderful how superb the take off and all is but there is no windows and it is just like sitting in the room from few hours, we reach our allocated asteroid and everyone gets to their mining machines and lands them in the asteroid, i was asked if I could like the system to take control till landing I oblige, and machines on auto pilot settles down on asteroid field, I connect to the machine and use scan which was enhanced by the machine,I find ores in several places near me, without wasting time i move there and start mining, a mini game of sorts pop up it says how well i do here determines the quantity and quality of the ore, i master the game after few tries, it really simple all i need to do is hit the red space in a ball that appears randomly, with little concentration and luck it is possible to do it, not so surprisingly I gain 4 points in program after 8 hours of repetitive mining and mini games, you should have to be real stupid if you didn't master it by then, returning to the ship in auto pilot, we let the drills cool down, the crew was surprised by the sheer amount of the ore I collected, this goes on for a week and we finally return to the planet, i gained couple of levels in deep space Mining and 20 points in program, which only increased increased my output, i kept some ores for myself and ate some to replace the nanobots I lost repairing the mining machinery due to some minor accidents.

The crew sold of the load which was four times larger than their normal haul, they told me take extra credits for myself but I declined earning some brownie points, after a days break we repeated it for 3 times, I was thousands of credits richer and finished paying up for the course, they were almost reluctant to let me go but not like they had the choice, bidding farewell, i decide to shop for some skills.
