Chapter 1

In the Beginning

Lillith drove her car down a dirt road to her cabin, deep forest. The woman seemed unbothered by the heavy growling following her during the drive. When she got home she seemed a little uneasy and took a dead carcass of some sort. It looked mangled, unrecognizable. It was unable to be told if it was human or not.  Lillith is a bright, hardworking, lovely lady. She had opened her cabin door, it had a wretched smell, it smelled like death... She went inside, taking a breath of the stench, and sighed softly. She walked down her hallway, it increasingly got bloodier and bloodier. She soon entered a room, it was a cellar in her basement. It seemed like the reddest room in her house. There were guts, blood, and everything everywhere. She soon went all the way into the room and smiled.

“Hi-- my dearest Melanie. It’s so great to see you!” Lilith said in a crazed tone, She had a look in her eyes that said in love.

“How’s my dearest blooming flower.” she pulled down Melanie's gag and smiled softly, “It's also time to eat lovely, I brought home your favorite, my homemade stew, and brownies!”

Melanie glared and hissed, “I HATE YOUR STEW AND YOU KNOW IT, YOU PSYCHO!” Melanie started screaming for help and crying. “Just let me go, Lillith, I don't love you, your food, or anything, you’re out of your mind..”

Lilith sighed, “You won’t love me with that attitude dear, but I love you, and yes I know I’m a little crazy but that’s alright, aren’t we all sometimes!” Around Lilith were her skinned and gutted friends. Her smile widened more, ear to ear she said through gritted teeth, “You will eat, I don’t need the love of my life to die on me now.~” Soon Melanie started screaming and crying for Lillith to let her go, and that she was scared. Lilith walked over to her and smiled again, crazed. The woman of insanity walked away, coming back with a pocket knife, it had blood dripping off of it and was fresh…

“Please. Lilly, let me go, I won’t say a word, I'll just go on with my life. “ Melanie cried softly. Insane about her, Lillith shook her head and rushed over, Melanie screaming again. She slit a gash open on Mels’ leg and hummed softly, slipping the knife into her pocket. She then gagged Melanie again. Lillith walked away and out of the cabin. She got in her car and started to drive down the road again. A monster in the forest jumped in front of her car, she sighed and her heartbeat sped up, it was getting closer after she stopped. It ran towards her and she jumped awake.

“Oh, my... Just a dream..” She had wine spilled on her, a book covered in it too. Her eyes blinked open as she hummed softly starting the car, driving away.

Lilith is 23, working for the government under a source of unknown Origin, and men, other than her father that is. That’s how she even got the job. She loves her job, she got placed in her own town too! Fan Hill, Ohio a small, cozy town that is a kind, cozy town and full of mysterious things. She had loved the supernatural and inhuman things since she was a little girl. She simply found it fascinating. She was a slim, built, athletic person. Running around after beings of unknown origin gave her a lot of exercise. She worked for an organizational branch that was unknown to the people of America. There was this branch everywhere to study such things out of the U.S. Lilith was humming softly, she had her journal out writing on her bed, sketching out what she thought to be a human but it was deformed. Very deformed. It was a skinbag mainly and she didn’t mind. She just kept drawing. Lilith grabbed her bag and went on a walk around her neighborhood. It was quiet, birds chirping and the trees swaying, a soft rustle came from the trees. She went to her cabin. It was further than her home. She opened the door and hummed softly. It was her writing cabin, it had decoration all over. Deer heads, bear rug—everything you’d expect from a desolate cabin in the forest.

After she arrived her eyes fixated heavily on the cellar, she felt pulled towards it, but she didn’t go to it. She recently bought the cabin and never went into the cellar. It never occurred to go into the cellar because she never found a need to go into it. Lilith grabbed her bags and sat down. The sun was shining in the cabin window, it was bright and beautiful. The carpet was a beautiful blue and lay on the ground untouched, Lilith always walked around it because it made a lot of noise when she stepped on it. She never knew why.  Her eyes fixated on the door and then a low grow came near her cabin. It was close to her, but she never heard anything, she didn't hear anything but her humming and the clatter of books as she rummaged through the shelves.

Lilith then heard a knocking on her door, the cabin never got visitors, she never… Heard anyone come though. She found that it was a good place to read and never had a thought in her mind that she would get visitors.

She opened the door. It was a frail little boy, he spoke softly and had his head down to the ground.

“Spare food for a poor boy, lost in the woods?” She didn't wanna let him in, knowing this town for years on end she didn’t trust it.

“Of course! Stay here I'll be back”

“No, No, don't let them get me. Don’t let it get me. Please miss.” She looked him up and down and saw a gash on his leg, that must hurt, there was a claw in it, and something attacked him.

“Please miss. I can’t die, I have a whole life ahead.” He looked about ten years old and she felt bad.

“Okay, here. I'll grab some food, but you have to follow me into the safest place I know for this cabin.” She stepped out and guided the little boy to the cellar and stepped in. She opened the door, it was dark. Dusty. And looked about a million years old, the lights flickered as she turned them on and the boy walked in, he smiled, a gentle glint in his eerie blue eyes. Lillith felt bad, she walked out shut the door behind her, and went back to the main cabin. The kind woman grabbed food and then BAM, there was a thud and screaming coming from the cellar. She dropped the food and rushed out. She swung open the door and the boy was crawling towards her, Lilith screamed, the boy was ripped in half, his intestines sprawled all over the floor and he was bleeding from his eyes. She slammed the door.

“NEVER AGAIN!” There was a banging on the door and more screaming. She rushed back into the cabin, gathered her stuff, and ran out of the forest. Lilith rushed home.

Melanie is a caring person, she is silly and lovely, her eyes are a baby blue like that of the sky, and she found that he emotions were best put on paper and burned. Lilith although before Melanie burned them, would read through the notes of paper. Sometimes it hurt her other times she got to help Melanie, She wore many blacks and pastels together. Her hair was a shiny cherry blonde. She as well worked for the same company as Lilltih, although, she wouldn’t have gotten the job if it wasn’t for her. She’s startled easily and tends to be frightened by a lot of things. Honestly, she just wanted the job to be with her best friend. She was placed in another town originally, somewhere in Arizona. Melanie never said where although, nonetheless, she was a kind person who loved others more than herself. She listens to a lot of darker music, metal and then it expands to indie pop, her wide range of music tends to get her in a good mood. She listens to a lot of Glass Animals and such.

Melanie was in the forest right now, studying flora and fauna, her eyes lighting up when she saw something new each and every time. The sun was shining through the trees as she sat on a stump. There was a low growling, deep and bellowing near her. It was to the east of her and she listened gently humming softly,

“It’s okay dear. I know you missed me but I have to get home soon. Just keep an eye out for HER. Okay, dear?”

The growling softened and went to a soft chirp. She stood up and went home. It took her about 30 minutes.

“Oh! And be careful. We were going to the Fliiver Lane house. Stay here till I give a good signal for everything to go intact.”

Melanie talking to the fauna was smiling, They had to protect the fauna and the beings in the forest, it’s their home and they need to be preserved for humanity’s sake.

Lillith focused on her driving and got to her home in the town. It smelled of flowers, nature, and more. She stopped the car and got out. Her eyes focused on the house. She shared it with her best friend Melanie. Unbeknownst to her, Lillith was in love with her. She entered the house and went to her room. Nobody home, she huffed.
