Arc is the school where a story of heroes begins at, a tale told countless times through so many genres, where only the most prestigious can attend. So how can a bunch of nobodies and extras in said story make it through? In this almost cliché-clashing modern fantastical world of demons, dungeons, and monsters, the Awakened must learn to utilize their power for change, whether it results in better or worse. Fortunately, anyone has the potential to Awaken, like the unfortunate school kids who woke up one day in another person’s body, in another bed, in a different life… and they don’t know anything. Worse, the author was still only in his planning phase. Expectations: Chapters every Mondays 7 P.M., 2.5k - 5k word chapters (4k words on average) Genre savviness; Cliché/tropes awareness; Modern and easy-to-follow language; Many, many details; Bleeped out curse words; Lots of fleshed out characters and perspective changes; Many overlapping story arcs; Violence and psychological distress; Elements of every (well, most) genre under the sun; Logic over brute force; Duality and other poetic/darker recurring themes “Guides” are separate and skippable chapters dedicated to concepts, characters, and other topics for the purpose of immersion, reminders on said topics, and to help avoid confusion. Think of them as a reminder for when you forget something. The reader’s input matters a lot! And no: Babysitting (constant explanations); Grimdark/edginess (aka cringe), gore, sexual or unsavory content Finally, The Devil is in the Details.
