### Chapter 3: The Majestic Cave
Once again, Amit found himself dreaming. He was back in the dense forest, under the same dark sky. This time, however, the cave he approached looked different. It stood majestically, its entrance flanked by intricate carvings and symbols that glowed faintly in the moonlight. The air around it was thick with an ancient, almost sacred energy.
As Amit stepped inside, the cave's grandeur took his breath away. The walls were covered in detailed murals, depicting scenes from the Mahabharata. Each panel told a different part of the epic, intricately carved and painted with a skill that seemed almost supernatural. The colors were vivid, the figures lifelike. It was as if the entire story was unfolding before his eyes.
Walking further into the cave, Amit found himself drawn to a series of panels that focused on Karna, the tragic hero of the Mahabharata. The first panel depicted Karna's birth, showing his mother Kunti and the divine aura surrounding the infant. The next panel showed him being set adrift in a basket on the river, found and adopted by Radha and Adhiratha, a charioteer couple.
Amit moved along the wall, absorbing each scene. He saw Karna growing up, training in archery under Parashurama, and being cursed by his teacher upon the discovery of his true heritage. The murals captured the intensity of Karna's struggles, his valor in battle, and his unwavering loyalty to Duryodhana, despite the challenges he faced.
As Amit progressed, he saw the crucial moments of Karna's life: his refusal to join the Pandavas even after learning his true identity, his confrontation with Arjuna, and the heart-wrenching scene where his chariot wheel gets stuck in the mud, leading to his downfall. The final panels depicted his death on the battlefield, with Krishna revealing Karna's true identity to the Pandavas and the subsequent mourning of his tragic fate.

Amit felt a deep sense of sorrow for Karna as he absorbed the story. Karna's life had been marked by tragedy and injustice, despite his noble qualities and great talents. He had been a victim of circumstances and had remained loyal and honorable until the end, yet his life had been filled with suffering and betrayal.
As Amit stood before the final panel, a faint golden light began to glow at the far end of the cave, illuminating the detailed carvings even more. It was the same light from his previous dream, but now it seemed to be pointing towards something specific. He felt a pull towards the light but also a lingering sense of danger.
Just as he began to move towards the light, he felt a sudden rush of wind and woke up abruptly. It was 7 am, and the morning sun was just beginning to filter through his window. Amit sat up in bed, the vivid images of the cave and Karna's story still fresh in his mind. The dream felt incredibly real, and the sorrow he felt for Karna lingered in his heart.
He got ready for work, but the dream occupied his thoughts throughout the morning. At the office, his manager noticed his preoccupation once again.
"Amit, are you alright? You seem even more distracted today," his manager remarked.
Amit nodded slowly. "Yeah, I had another dream last night. This time it was about Karna's life story. The cave was full of murals depicting his entire life. It was so detailed, and it felt so real."
"Dreams can be powerful," his manager said thoughtfully. "Karna's story is indeed tragic. Maybe your mind is trying to process something on a deeper level."
"Maybe," Amit said, though he couldn't shake the feeling that the dream was trying to tell him something more profound. "I'll try to focus on work."
"Take it easy, Amit. Sometimes dreams can be a way for our subconscious to work through things. Just give it some time," his manager advised.
Amit nodded, but the images from the dream stayed with him. He couldn't help but feel that the cave and Karna's story held a significance he needed to understand. Determined to uncover the truth, Amit resolved to visit the caves of Anga Pradesh and see if they held any real-life counterparts to his dreams.
