CHAPTER 130
“I must say you’ve got a way with words that seems perfect for a managerial promotion.” Natalie said
with a smile, her voice soft.
You must be joking, my lady!” The associate replied, somewhat flattered and startled, bowing
repeatedly in response.
But Natalie’s smile was gentle. “Why would you think I’m joking? You seem to think the rules of the
marketplace don’t apply to you. I’m not aware that the policies of Global Entertainment Group include
allowing employees to insult customers or refuse to let them try on clothes at their discretion?”
“Of course not, my lady.” Wood replied, lowering his head slightly and speaking softly.
The associate, overhearing their exchange, was shaking in her pumps, hastily apologizing to Natalie,
“I’m so sorry, my lady! It was my oversight! I messed up! I…”
“Pick up your three months‘ severance pay from the general manager’s office after work today. and
then you’re out.” Natalie cut her off coldly before she could finish.
People like her were bad for the company’s bottom line.
As one of the silent shareholders of Global Entertainment Group, Natalie felt she had the authority to
hire or fire any regular employee.
“Also, iron the rest of these and put them back properly before you leave today. I won’t tolerate a single
wrinkle affecting a second sale,” Natalie said, pointing to two particular garments and continuing her
instructions.
“A single mistake, ten times the compensation!”
The younger clerk nearby didn’t dare make a sound and quickly got to work, following Natalie’s orders
to the letter.
Natalie frowned, speaking in a low voice. “Your assistant manager hasn’t been fired yet, she’s still an
employee. It’s not your place to clean up her mess.”
The associate, unable to voice her distress, with a pale face, stepped forward to tidy things up herself.
“And you help me with the checkout. The sale counts towards your performance,” Natalie said. turning
her gaze to the clerk.
The clerk glanced at the associate with hesitation, seemingly afraid to take the credit for the sale.
Natalie could tell right away the associate was someone who used her position to belittle and bully.
Even with her dismissal imminent, the clerk was still afraid to cross het.
Natalie thought for a moment and then smiled at the clerk. “Starting today, you’re taking over
the assistant manager’s position. After work, report to HR immediately.”
“My lady, she’s still within her probation period, how can she…” The associate couldn’t help but
try to protest.
If someone took her spot, she’d never get it back!
But Natalie interrupted with a tight frown, “Are you the one calling the shots at Global Entertainment
Group?”
“No, I’m not…” The associate’s face turned even paler, and she fell silent.
Minutes later, Natalie and Rosie walked out of the store, each carrying a shopping bag, calmly leaving
the scene behind.
The associate who got fired watched Natalie’s retreating figure, then collapsed to the floor in despair.
Wood approached her and said coldly, “You’d better follow her instructions to the letter. If you upset her
again, there won’t be a place for you anywhere in Streamville!”
Everyone knew the kind of pull Natalie had with the James family. Her influence was undeniable.

went pale.
“Rosie, were you insane? Who in their right mind says such things? Calling her auntie as if it’s nothing!
What on earth can’t you do?”
“But my uncle…” Rosie waited for Gavin to finish his tirade, then replied tentatively.
