All was according to the plan. No one of them suspected anything, even if they were removed from their homes and summoned here… That’s right; they just believed it was to participate in some tournament called Magus Royale and gain free magical powers…

But that was far from the truth. We just needed some manipulable soldiers to do our will, and thinking that these were the requirements for winning the tournament was the perfect excuse.

We needed them to succeed in where others had failed… To bring us the power and glory we deserved, and for that we settled up the testing grounds: an “online game” that scooped the most suitable candidates for the task.

Changing them to their game avatars? That just was to give them a reason to cooperate, but that was not really needed at the moment… Because they were just following the plan like sheeps, although there was two people that seemed hesitant.

Among the eight puppets, there was one special… He, or perhaps i should say she, was very special; but not for the reason of being the opposite gender now, but for her compatibility with the forbidden blood. We couldn’t use the power of that strange woman, because every time we used her blood, the vessels just turned into ashes.

The experiment was successful. All we had to do now was keeping an eye at her at all times, because she will be our trump card… Also, she was the key on getting that power once for all.

“Master Zheg, the preparations are complete; she is in her room”

“You know what to do, Lucius… Bring her here; use force if necessary but don’t kill her”

Lucius did a reverence to me as he was saying:

“Yes, master”

Since they arrived we have been working hard and just finished our research in two days since they regained the consciousness here. And now we had the secret to force that mysterious woman to cooperate with us, we had it the entire time… But the key was using it in a vessel that contained her blood, and it was impossible until now.

I was about to exit my room, when I glanced the mirror. My face was showing a mix of emotions: Fear, confusion and angriness; but what had surprised me the most is that I no longer had brown eyes, instead they were purple colored.

But I had no time to think about it, as I had to escape that twisted place immediately. But as soon as I exited the room I heard an explosion. I don’t know where it was from, since I wasn’t familiar with the place, but I was sure it was inside the mansion.

Another explosion came, this time from another place as the last one; then some more explosions happened. Really worried about my safety I run through the corridor; the others heard those explosions too and they followed my direction.

Having a dilemma between taking the safety in the people of the mansion, or escaping through my own, I remembered the words the girl told me:

*... Make use of the commotion to flee…*

Filling me with courage, when I was in the first floor I took another different path than them and went to a desert corridor with many windows. I broke the glass of one and tried to slip, but as soon as I slipped a foot out of it two sets of hands grabbed me.

“Target found and captured...” *buzzing sounds* “...Yes sir!”

After some seconds, sounds of gunfire and explosions could be heard in the distance. The two persons that were holding me seemed soldiers wearing a black uniform and gasmasks; each of them carried on their backs a strange backpack shaped object.

I was trying to resist but they were grabbing my articulations now so I couldn’t move. We were walking hastily towards the forest.

“Release me! Who are you? What do you want from me?!”

The soldiers didn’t said a single word. I forgot to use magic until now, but I couldn’t cast a single spell before, but now I tried with all my might to cast something harmful. A bright magical field started emerging from my body; i wanted to destroy them, but It took no efect on them… There was an invisible force field in their bodies that prevented the magical field to enter.

“Girl, if you resist we will have to use force… So please don’t resist and come with us, you can’t do anything anyway”

Realizing that either my physical force and my magic didn’t work, I just resigned and keeped walking with them. Struck with fear I just thought about the situation…  “Target found…” Why they wanted me? How it could be possible that they broke inside the mansion?

After walking some time we arrived at a clearing in the forest. In the middle was a big ship resembling an helicopter, and the soldiers urged me to enter.

If the exterior of the ship was big, the inside was more spacious beyond logic. There were more soldiers inside, but they seemed relaxed. A woman with long red hair, wearing the same attire as those soldiers came to me.

“You must be thinking why we abducted you… Well, we didn’t had another choice; Also, it is for your sake too”

Her voice was serious and somewhat commanding. That woman was tall and imposing, but even with her suit and armor, you could notice she was very attractive.

“Who are you? Why you took me? What happened to the others?”

The woman sighed, I could tell she didn’t want to tell much information, but nonetheless she answered

“We are Raven, an organization that wants to discover all the secrets of the universe… We took you because they planned to use you as a sacrifice for their own goals, and if we didn’t step in, it would have been catastrophic for the entire world…”

Raven… I never heard such name… However when she explained that, the tension released a bit; they didn’t seem hostile towards me, but still, something was fishy. Did they want to use me? What was the whole reason behind all?

The engines turned on, and the ship started elevating from the ground.

“You must have a lot of questions… I will answer them as we fly to our destination.”
