Chapter 7. Carrot and Stick

Authors note: Sorry guys some shit happened and well some delay occured, please keep in mind that I type this word by word on a portable console. I took me 21 hours for this one and unusually longer than the last chapters. Well here is the next chapter enjoy.

As the Sunrays faintly shone through the wooden window gaps, Aluzar rose up from his deep slumber. He only needed to sleep a few hours, eventhough, he wasn't overly enthusiastic in waking up when the sun beamed over the sky but it posed as a necessary sacrifice for his future plans.

The Sounds of chirping birds indicated that it was early in the morning, thus Lofrinfel and the noisy high elven vampire still lingered in their own dream world.

Azariah slept besides him in a wriggled up position with her wings, covering her eight serpentine heads. Last night, Lofrinfel adored the 1.50 meter long eight headed winged serpent of disaster, what somehow was to Azariahs liking as she presented her snake body in various dignified and flashy postures with laugh-like hisses.

Only noisy high elf vampire shrouded herself in silence and awe because afore her eyes stood a legendary divine magical beast presumed extinct from these vast lands.

The Youthful supreme pure blood vampire had let them magnanimously slept longer after the eventful day they had to go through.

Since he had looted a good amount of wealth yesterday, from the fat slave trader and his family, he decided to take stock of his newly acquired fortune.

The Young boy summoned the two dirt covered treasure chest from Saput's prison, first he removed the dust clinging to them and exposed two golden chests with silver ornamental decorations, in the shape of multiple snakes and gems in various colors were embedded in the eye parts.

Aluzar nodded in self-satisfaction as he guessed right that the boxes of storage valued more than the scrap metal inside of them, although, frustration welled up in him because he couldn't discern the hardened steel from magic steel.

First; he separated the gold, silver, copper coins and gems, jewelry and magic cores into different piles with his telekinetic powers. Otherwise it would have been lasting for several hours or days if he hadn't had this useful abilties with many application prospect.

Second; he counted them, with his intelligence and superior information processing brain he could easily account the amount of different heaps of glittery accessoires, coins, cores and gems.

He now had, with the gold coins he previously earned and spent, 3467 gold coins, 2172 silver coins and 3348 copper coins. The Gold coins filled more than one half of a treasure chest unlike the silver and copper coins combined together, what fully filled on entire chest. The Beautiful jewelry and gems took up the small box Harold gifted him and he only stored the several in size varying magic cores without a containment.

It costed him a few minutes to assort the wordly riches he obtained and finishing his inventor check, leaving a single heavy pouche bursting with 467 gold coins he had prepared for his shopping, after he will have visited the Adventurers Guild in a few hours.

Some hours passed by and Aluzar sat before a table with Lofrinfel and the noisy high elf vampire, eating breakfast. It seemed that sunlight had a minor effect on the new high elven vampire, but she got a few burns when he had opened up the wooden window doors to flood the room with light, waking them up.

The Burns were more severe than his sunburn, nervtheless they quickly healed as they have appeared on her, but she still had to wear the smelly linen cloak, from the slave shop, protecting herself from what she once loved to bath in.

The Supreme pure blood vampire in his eye catching human disguise found it amazing how her mutation differed from the human specimen and her resistance to ultra violet rays boasted more potential than the human pure bloods on earth.

She herself showed surprise on her paled white face because she thought that she would have turned to ashes, if she had come into contact with the sunlight, now that she had transformed into a vampire, but to her unbelieving she only sustained painful burns that rapidly healed and her new high regeneration repeated the cycle of gaining wounds from the sun, then healing them.

Afterwards she realized that she didn't turned into a mere lower ranked blood vampire and felt more anxiety and at the same time, curiosity towards her new master, questioning his origins and his mysterious powers. She remembered the events from yesterday and how he talked about their gods and other higher beings or the true one, but she refrained from asking too much questions for the time being out of fear.

The Three ate their meal in a leisurely pace, in a hall connected to“The Falling Leaf” that served as a dining hall for guests. Voices from many people could be heard chatting, over various things, giving the dining room a lively atmosphere whose interior was furnitured with long rectangular tables and benches placed randomly through the restaurant.

The Reason as to why they ate at such slow pace was that he simply liked, enjoying a meal regardless of how dire the time pressed or bad it tasted and it also gave off a sense of belonging, what he wanted to convey to his new servants.

Although, at first he saw the noisy high elf as a disposable pawn, but she possessed a high potential for being a test subject, not only did he had turned her into a pure blood vampire race, what inwardly astounded him because he thought that he already knew all the secrets and effects involving his innate physical body fluids on other individual beings.

They finished their meal consisting of a vegetable soup and some bread slices. The Soup tasted of mediterrane herbs and exotic sweet fruits with unknown veggies from this world. The Bread had a nutty spicy flavor with a slight honey note.

The Food was actually decent for a backwater town, by seeing how his two servants vigorously slurped up the meal.

When they left the Inn's dining hall and were on their way to the Adventurers Guild, Aluzar asked the noisy high elf vampire,

“ Noisy Elf do you know if slaves can also be registered as adventurers?”

She replied ashamed,

“ It's embarrassing but I've never left the elven village in the forest and only studied the language and culture through books and stories, thus I can't give you any information about the Adventurers Guild but I've heard that a human child is considered an adult with the age of 15.”

The Boy frowned and sighed,

“ Are you serious! You've never left your forest and lived in isolation for 300 years. When I was in your age I've already crossed through all the nations and kingdoms at that time. Are all elven parents overprotective like yours or are there exceptions?”

The elven vampire was puzzeled at his remarks,

“ Ma-mas-master, what did you mean by ‘when I was in your age’ and yes, since we have a low birth rate but a long lifespan, thus most elven parents spoil their children and I was not an exception.”

Without any hint of emotion and a facial mimic, or even looking back,

“ Hmph, there are thinks that your mind can't take at the moment without me completely erasing your memories and change your personality. The Truth is something earned but for you I will exchange it for other information if you want to take the risk.”

He smiled a playful grin under his deep hood, unseen from passerbys and impossible to notice by his servants. The Vampire high elf silently followed behind him with Lofrinfel besides her, while holding hands with each other, she thought deeply about his offer.

Their stroll through the two carriage wide streets, surrounded by Inn's, bustling Taverns that stank of urine and feces because the drunkyards occasionally relieved themselves in the side alleys and sleazy Brothels with skimpy clothed women luring in the exhausted travellers and leecherous adventurers to have a relaxing break from their long journey, ended in front of a large building constructed with massive grey stone boulders in many shapes and sturdy wooden beams shouldering the weight, above the open double doors hung a sign with a crest.

The Crest depicted a silver sword crossed with a blue magic staff before a golden shield, with white wings sprouting on top of it and below the emblem “Adventurers Guild Gringallos Branch”.

They entered the Adventurers Guild building and curious glances wandered to the newcomers from the numerous individuals wearing gaudy armors and gears, as they queued at the end of the line, some questioning expressions appeared on the peoples faces, but soon after they concerned themselves with their own things because they thought that those mysteriously cloaked persons were here to issue a request to the guild.

The Waiting line gradually dispersed while the constant chatter remained the same and Aluzar's unusual group reached the service counter, a female receptionist greeted them,

“ Welcome, do you want to issue a request?”

The Young girl, who looked pleasing to the eye but not as beautiful as the now nameless high elf, stared with expectant eyes at the noisy high elf, but and unfamiliar preteen voice of a boy spoke,

“ No, we are here to register as adventurers, young lady.”

The Receptionist girl, with hazel nut green hair and eyes, frantically tried to make out the source of the one who was speaking, but since the service desk heightened a little taller than him and has been broader than an average table, she couln't see the dark cloaked youth.

Only after he had placed the wax sealed parchment letter on the counter, she could see the tender hand of a child with the marvelous signet ring.

She took the rolled up parchment and inspected the seal and recognized the “H” in between an Anvil and a Hammer, she politely said,

“ Please wait a moment, I will inform the guildmaster about this matter, please remain here for a short while.”

She rushed up a stair leading to an upper floor and after a short while the young woman hurriedly came back, humbly saying,

“ Young master, please follow me,I will guide you to the Guildmasters office.”

Without further exchange of words he and his visible servants followed her, the young female receptionist felt the atmosphere behind her becoming heavier with the gloomy aura emitting from the cloaked figures.

They shortly arrived before a plain wooden door on the 2nd floor and the green haired female knocked,

“ Excuse me, I brought the person in question and his eh... I think family? Ah...No...ehm companion?”

A strong firm female voice rang out behind the door,

“ It's alright damn it, just bring them in before I start crumbling to dust. Maira you have to become more poised about your actions and words, how can you become an adventurer like your mother with that attitude.”

Maira opened the door and gestured Aluzar and his entourage to enter. Two open windows with wooden doors dimly lit up the room, but due to the shadows of the neighbouring buildings it was an indirect illumination.

The Guildmasters office had a big writing desk and behind it were multiple shelves filled with bundles of documents and books, in front of the large working desk were on rectangular table and two benches cushioned with soft looking pillows on both sides of the lowered table and above it was a chandelier with luminous stones. Everything seemed plain and simple with no extravagant design.

The Female Guildmaster glanced at the incoming group, scrutinizing them but couldn't evaluate them because of the cloaks they were wearing, she knew that the black glossy cloak was tailored from expensive magic beast leather and from a high ranked one at that, with a single look.

As Maira excused herself, the Guildmaster rose up from her comfortable chair,

“ Please take a seat. I am the Guildmaster of the Gringallos Branch Adventurers Guild, Xeroly von Hakenschwert, pleased to meet you.”

He lifted the deep hood covering his face and both his servants did the same, the captivating youth respectfully said,

“ My name is Aluzar Refizul Hochstern and those are my servants, although, they are slaves that I have recently purchased, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Madam von Hakenschwert. I wouldn't have thought that I am meeting such a beautiful woman, because Harold adressed you as “Him” when he mentioned you.”

Xeroly seemed like a mature woman in her late thirties but she looked younger than the estimated age, her oval shaped face with a sharp elegant chin showed no wrinkles. The Mature Guildmaster had deep blue eyes and dark curly blonde hair tied to a bun, with some strands hanging besides her long thin eyebrows. Her refined nose perfectly matched her full lips curved into a gentle yet menacing smile,

“ Oh did he ! I think I must have a serious conversation with him in the near future and please don't adress me as Madam because I am not married yet. You are sure a charming boy for your age or just a rascal, who says that to any woman he encounters, hahahaha.”

The Handsome youth remained with an iron smile unfazed by her scary behaviour and the well endowed Xeroly came seating herself on the opposite bench, facing each other while Lofrinfel and noisy high elf remained standing behind him.

The Good proportioned Guildmaster started the conversation,

“ Now I've read the letter from Harold and know of your circumstances, but I'd like to personally interview you and know why you want to be an adventurer. Normally the Adventurers Guild age restriction is 15 years but in special occasions the Guildmaster can make an exception, thus tell me why you want to be an adventurer.”

Thereupon he put up a pained expression and began to tell his story,

“My Family once were of noblity in a far away country, but before they told me that our ancestors were adventurers. Some other nobles framed us for treason and we had to flee but during our escape through and endless forest the pursuers catched up to us. My whole family payed with their lives so that I can flee, I somehow made it through the endless forest with the rest of my families belongings and after a long ardorous journey I made it to this kingdom. Many people desire to acquire fame and wealth but for me it's a matter to survive in this world and one day become strong enough to avenge my family.”

The priced actor swiped away his crocodile tears that even fooled the battle hardened mature Xeroly and what nearly caused the noisy high elf vampire to vomit blood upon listening the heartwrenching lie, coming naturally out of his mouth as if it was his spit.

Xeroly von Hakenschwert felt guilt in her heart for making an innocent boy like him recall his terrible past,

“ I-i am sorry....e-everything is alright. You're in safety now, p-please s-stop crying.”

The Blonde haired female Guildmaster had a troubled expression and didn't know how to handle children in general, despite her age and she probably had no children herself, thus that explained her poor reaction in font of a crying child. The deep blue eyes of the Guildmaster showed a hint of pity and she sighed,

“ Haaah, Aluzar, I am not good in dealing with children, but since I am also from a noble lineage I can understand the underhanded methods of other nobles to frame or accuse their rivals, that is one of the reasons I devoted my life to be an adventurer. I will be giving you a special permission to let you register as an adventurer, but you're exempt from ranking up until you reached the proper age of 15. You also can only take on rank G quests because you will remain a rank G until then.”

She walked to her writing desk and rummaged through the drawers of her desk, taking out an empty piece of silver metal and explained,

“ This is a magic Guild Information card, it will be imprinted with yor mana pattern and the magic circle on it will show your name and rank, but ranking up needs the approval of a Guildmaster and can only be changed by them. The Plate will only react to your specific mana and it will be useless to others, it also serves as a identification and even normal people use them as that because they are free. We take 10% commission fees for requests and from giving out quests, we are basically work providers for jobless scoundrels roaming the lands and the more dangerous the mission the higher rewards, understood?”

Aluzar slowly stopped his sniffing as if he had calmed down from his whining and asked,

“ Do my slaves also need an information card ?”

Xeroly shook her head in a denying gesture,

“ No it's not really necessary since they are bound to you by a magical enslavement contract they are pratically your belongings and it's fairly common for adventurers to have slaves as their companions because they won't have to share the profits with other adventurers.”

Hearing this answer the noisy vampiric high elf frowned because she thought, that maybe through the guilds registration she could uncover her lost name, but it seemed that this oppotunity has been denied, adding all the more despair to her grievance.

The Well bodied Guildmaster handed him the 8 cm long and 5 cm wide rectangular metal card and added in a lecturing manner,

“ Here take this, it will be helpful for you. The Magic Association and the Warriors Union are daughter guilds and we're all neutral and independent from political issues and wars between hostile kingdoms or empires on Vetra`Zulo, we can guarantee you our help if you get swept into some disputes between them, if you decide to personally intervene or are the cause in those matters I aforementioned, we will see that as an individual decision and won't take action or help you. Since it has nothing to do with our Adventurers Guild or our allies. We have no obligation to rescue you in those situations, understood ?!”

The Youth timidly nodded and received the information plate,

“ I sincerely thank you from the bottom from my heart, Lady von Hakenschwert.”

Xeroly frowned and uncomfort welled up inside her,

“ P-lease just call me Guildmaster Xeroly. I don't like formalities like these , it sounds so stiff and shallow.”

Aluzar infused his mana into the card and the metal plate glowed on the guild card, reading his name and rank. He was intrigued and satisfied at the same time. It was obvious that these metal plates had some special magic imbued or had gone through a special manufacturing method, but he will eventually discover the methods sooner or later.

He inquired Xeroly inconspiciously,

“ Say Guildmaster Xeroly, who is the city lord?”

Her pleasing face disorted to a disdainful look,

“ Tche, that is Kaldrivas Ferraz he is a knight under the barony of the Talvis family belonging to the Montis`Superbia Kingdom, what is part of the Ehrenthal empire. He think that he is a noble, although, it's true but he is holding the lowest title of knight. That greedy bastard curried the favor of his Lord with the bribes he occasionally gets or beautiful slaves he had acquired , in exchange for turning a blind eye on misdeeds or crimes they commited in this city. That guy is also a rank 6 warrior but he only swallow those crappy mana cultivation pills, thats why he reached the same rank as me. He doesn't deserve to hold on the same title of Grand Warrior, ah ....I said too much. I am sorry for my ranting but you should stay away from that despicable individual, he will have bad influence over you, okay?!”

Her mouth curved into a smile but her eyes wasn't smiling she clearly stated that this conversation shouldn't be ever mentioned, Aluzar couldn't care less about those wordless threats and smiled back his innocent smile,

“ How much costs a house in this town? Since I will stay here until I am 15.”

Xeroly quickly replied,

“ Well, an empty house doesn't exist here in Gringallos you have to reside in an Inn.”

With this new knowledge he said his good byes, while noisy vampire elf respectively bowed and Lofrinfel imitated her gesture,

“ Thank you very much aunty Xeroly, I hope you will take good care of me and my servants.”

Having a smile on his face the boy and his two slaves left, leaving an emotionally shocked Guildmaster, with a gaping mouth because she felt the heavy depression from a single simple “aunty” because she had a complex from being the only childrenless woman in her family. She muttered,

“ Damn cheeky brat !”

The Three covered themselves with their hoods before leaving the Adventurers Guild, while earning more prying eyes from frequent adventurers, who used Gringallos as their base.

Since he got his hands on an information guild card without a hitch, he was in a good mood, smirking a creepy grin under his hood, what led to an arkward aura emitting from him that scared away the passerbys, sending them a chill down their spine.

The Youthful Aluzar cheerfully announced,

“ Now we will go buy some goods and since I am in a generous mood I will give you anything you wish for, so don't hesitate it's fine.”

The Noisy high elven vampire immediately knelt down and begged,

“ Ma-mas-master, I swear upon my family that I will serve you until I die, but please I yearn for nothing more than my name. I beg of you please ma-master!”

Under her hood her cheeks blushed from shame and humiliation from lowering herself in public and even before human spectators, what hurt her pride even more was that she had tossed her dignity away for the sake of a common privilege every being had, that was her precious name.

Aluzars eyebrows furrowed under his hood and he regretted his statement and thought that he should have been more carful with his choice of words. He said that anything would be granted and it would tarnish his reputation and pride, if he went back on his word, even if she was just a mere noisy servant, thus he had to comply to her request with a feeling that he had stumbled into his own sword,

“ Hmph, you are really a cheeky servant, for taking an advantage of her masters words. Well you made me trip over my own words in a moment of my unawareness, what is an accomplishment in it self. I have only myself to blame, hehehe. You will serve me until death anyway, but don't get level headed and think I am soft hearted. There will be no next time, I can promise you that.”

Deep under his black hood the young boys morphed icy blue eyes turned glowing ruby red, while in a flash memories of her name returned to Narlenias mind.

Tears of joy and relief poured down her cheeks,

“Ye-yes ma-master, I will remember your kindness and repent my past rudeness towards you until I die.”

A crowd of residents and spectators curiously watched them and thought that it was some kind of street performance, Aluzar didn't wanted to attract this attention at the moment and felt discomfort,

“Let's get going before my mood turns sour !”

They left the adventurers district and slowly loitered through the merchant quarter shops, he entered a store selling high class fabrics and textiles. At first the merchant disdainfully told them to leave but after showing him the bursting pouche, he humbly welcomed them in without further doubts.

He bought 3 fine black wool fabric rolls with a smooth and firm interwined surface, 3 sleek black dyed silk rolls weaved from magical spider beast threads, 3 red soft velvet textile rolls and 3 rolls of thin black laced fabrics with flower patterns. It costed him 72 gold coins including the heaps of fine threads in red, black and gold, braided silk cords in the same colors and a set of hair thin sewing needles in a small leather bundle.

Narlenia didn't quite understand why her master bought those goods, but even so she didn't dared to question him. He secretly stored the goods in a stinky alley way between some buildings.

They visited a magic tool and alchemist store and after the same procedure of displaying his pouche he purchased multiple high class alchemist paraphernalia and magic tools like mortars and pestles for grinding and mashing the ingredients, multiple small vessels as containers, cauldrons in different sizes for boiling, funnels and long spoons for bottling and mixing, a magic tool resembling a portable stove using mana as a fuel to ignite a controllable flame and many luminous stones for a better light source.

The Sly shop owner eulogized a magic bag that could carry 1000 kg, for the bought goods and the cloaked boy had no choice to buy it because letting such a huge amount of goods dissapear into his interspatial ring didn't posed a problem, but “how” was the question.

The Amount of items were to numerous to carry for the three and it would cause more commotion than needed, thus he took the magic bag without complaining and paid 200 gold coins for everything. It wasn't like standing in a supermarket with to many bought products to carry and with no more money for a bag.

The Gold he spent was a fortune with that a normal peasant could have lived for 5 or 7 years in pure bliss and luxury.

The Dark brown magic leather waist bag had magical runes engraved on the fastening belt, the orifice edge was gravured with a magic formation and widthened 30 cm horizontally and the depth of the bag couldn't be seen from the inside but from the ouside it heightened up 20 cm vertically. The bag opening was covered by a slick leather lid also engraved with a magic circle and closable through a button. On the two side of the 10 cm broad rectangular square bag were more magic rune formations.

The Magic waist bag almost covered Narlenias soft butt when she putted it behind her, the inscribed rune formation made it weight less for her. The Procured products magically disorted their shape to fit in the 30 cm wide opening.

Aluzar and his entourage left the money grubbing oppurtunistic store owner and made their way to Harold's Anvil. When they passed through Harold's store entrance, the group was instantly greeted by a bulky muscular dwarf,

“ Oh hey kid! How was the meeting with the old dragon, hahaha. How are you doing?! Wait a moment and let me guess ! Those guys are your new slaves right!? Hahaha.”

Narlenias long pointed ears stiffened straight from anger, but she swallowed this disgrace because she didn't wanted to enrage a certain someone.

Aluzar replied with a smile and unveiled his hood,

“ I think Guildmaster Xeroly is realy angry at you for adressing her as a “him” and yes, you're right Harold. I bought these slaves just yesterday, right after I sold my goods to you and I think that I made a renumerative investment, considering my circumstances, what do you think?”

Harold squinted his eyes while heartily laughing,

“ Hahahaha, you never fail to amaze me young Aluzar. You are truly a little intelligent human boy, I must give you that. Children at your age usually don't have to worry about finances or they don't even have the possibilities or knowledge to make money to keep them alive, they just starve to death or have to beg for food scraps. Your newly bought slaves will help you in the future but I suppose that fat Timothy made your chest lighter and that husbandless old dragon from the adventurers guild should stop going to the brothels and mess around with the girls, muhahahaha.”

Aluzar gently chuckled and thought that Xeroly von Hakenschwert was a lesbian or bisexual but he kept it to himself and said,

“ I actually got them really cheap, although, he seemed to have been in a hurry and really afraid of something.”

The Dwarven blacksmith lightly shrugged his shoulders with an insightful face,

“ Well, he wasn't a Saint to begin with and I am not suprised when he end up disappearing or dead because he has alot of illwilled intents and grudges directed at him, if it hadn't been the city lord he would have been dead a long time ago. Now stop with the idle chat and tell me what you want. I can tell from your eyes you want something made, right?”

The Boy enumerated what he desired,

“ I need a 1 meter long saw for cutting down wood, a woodcarver toolbox, a leather processing toolbox, a hammer for all purposes and multiple nails and hinges. I want them to be made from magic steel if possible.”

Harold raised one of his slightly burned eyebrows, tilting his head from side to side and finally relied with a resigning voice,

“ Haaah, alright boy I give you a discount. I already have a vague Idea what you are trying to do with these things, they are without a doubt useful but they need the right knowledge to apply, I won't be asking you unnecessary questions since I know you have a good head on your shoulders. Come by in two days and bring 192 gold coins and normally it would have costed around 50 gold coins and some silvers, if it would have been forged from hardened steel.”

The Youth nodded,

“ Thank you Harold, I will be coming in two days with the money. I will frequent your shop and come working here part time.”

Aluzar left the dwarven blacksmith shop with his servants in tow and strolled through the craftsmen quarter. He faced towards Lofrinfel and asked her in a friendly tone,

“ Little Lofrinfel, if you wish for something don't hesitate to tell me, I will buy it for you.”

The small draconian girl fidget with her little fingers and reluctantly answered,

“ I-i am really thankful towards master and master treats me well, I don't have any particular wish, but to get stronger and become knowledgeable and one day kill my parents murderers.”

This wasn't something a six year old child should be saying, but Aluzar chuckled and gave her an advice in the draconian language,

“ Be patient Lofrinfel. Only the stupid go to the war unprepared and gain nothing but death, resulting in a disappointing defeat in the end. I will create a personal training schedule for you and you will have to work hard and learn in order to get stronger, understood?!”

Lofrinfels conviction grew even stronger and she replied in a strong determined voice, what actually made her sound really cute,

“ Yes master !! I will give it my best !!”

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Since Lofrinfel had no proper shoes and only wore tattered sandals, they went to a shoemaker and he bought a pair of high quality black leather boots for her and Narlenia. He also procured some educational books about fairytales and legends and a big bundle of parchment with a set of feather and ink and paid a bairgain of 1 gold, 90 silver and 50 cooper coins.

After the shopping spree they returned to “The Fallen Leaf Inn” and had lunch in it's attached dining hall, this time they had a meat stew with strange vegetables and the nutty spicy flavored bread, but only Narlenia ordered the vegetable soup, it seems she refrains from eating meat and the likes.

The meat stew tasted beefy and had a hint of lamb in it, flavored with hearty herbs. The Flesh came probably from the cow like animal with wool covering it's body.

After their hearty lunch, they proceeded to their room and he stored away the alchemy goods, emptying the magical waist back covering Narlenias ass.

The High elven pure blood vampire curiosly asked him in a humble tone,

“ Ma-master can I ask you on why did you bought all these objects, instead of going to a tailor or buy a finished potions ?”

He answered Narlenia with an indifferent tone, showing no signs of any emotions surging in his voice,

“ The Products in this town are mediocre and are poorly made except the items from the textile merchant, the magic tool and alchemy shop, Harold's Anvil and the shoemaker, the books and writing utensils are undeveloped, but oh well, you have to work with what you get. I learned some basic alchemy and will deepen my skill by experimenting and regarding the many fabrics I purchased I will tailor my own clothes and yours too of course because the quality here is overall insufficient.”

Narlenia couldn't restrain her nosiness any more and blurted out her thoughts and questions,

“Ma-master what are you really?? I know now that you are a vampire but they live far to the north in the darklands, where the sun shines for only a few weeks and on other continents were different elven species, beastmen, draconians, dwarfs and demons are more frequent, but I only heard that from tales told by the village elder. She also said that vampires are part of the demon species and are mostly creatures of the night.

The lower ranked vampires can't even step into the daylight under a cloak and only high bloods and pure bloods are capable of staying in the sun, but just a few minutes without being burned to cinders.

Only the blood emperor can stay in the sun while receiving several burns without a cloak and he has to go through a blood rite to obtain such feats, but ma-master you freely wander under the sun and only get a sunburn when it touches you, in addition your not only fluent in ancient high elvish but also in the ancient draconian language and to top it off my body changed to a vampires but I still can eat normal food, usually a vampire can only sate their hunger with blood.

What being are you master, I can't truly define what you are, thus could you please enlighten this small minded creature?!”

The Supreme pure blood vampire discarded his human disguise and changed to his true form, showing an amused smile of superiority,

“ Since you gave me a good amount of information about the vampires of this world, I shall grant you an epiphany moment and guide you to the truth. You see we call ourselves “Supreme Pure Blood Vampire” and I hail from another universe where no magic is existing, instead science played a major role in the developement in my former world and only humans and my race emerged from the seeds sowed by the great creator of creators.

I became the last of my race caused by a misfortune and slowly boredom crept into my eternal life, but one day the manager of the Planet called Earth visited me and proposed in the name of the great creator of creators to come to Almastea, but my body had to be rejuvinated into this younger form of mine to properly adapt to this mana filled world and thus I ended up with this youthful appearance. I will show you what I have encountered up until now with fragments of my memories but only crucial parts. I need to strenghten your mental fortitude for this so that your mind won't break under the truth, hehehehe.”

He connected to her consiciousness and displayed a part of his memories in her mind like a movie that ran on fast forward, as she regained her awareness emptiness spreaded in her heart and she didn't know any plausible excuse to uphold the image of the so-called gods and began to tremble while tears of sadness dripped down from knowing the truth.

Narlenia couldn't deny the memory fragments she saw; what being he was and still is, how he met the manager Kallad and crossed over to this world, the conversation with Saput Octo Kalamitas and the great creator of creators, who he encountered in this world up until now and foremost the truth about the gods and why the great creator of creators had sent him here.

All that knowledge burned into her recollection in broken fragments but are the genuine truth about him and this world. The high elven woman, who got not only transformed into a vampire but also her firm believe in the pseudo gods shattered in a mere second, said in a strained and lifeless voice,

“ I...w-what.....w-why ...I-i.....I am sorry master. I need some time to stomache this revelation, please excuse me”

Narlenia laid down on one of the two beds and tried to comprehen her mind and personality. Aluzar added a remark,

“ I give you time until we go to Harold's Anvil and collect the ordered products, when you can't live with this burden I will erase your current personality and create one to my liking.”

Her thoughts violently raged around the things she had lived through and that amused smile on his face and Lofrinfel stared at the situation while tilting her head in a quizzically manner to the side.

Aluzar had still that amused smile on his face and called out to the puzzeled draconian girl,

“ Lofrinfel come here and help me with making new clothes for you.”

The draconian childs amber colored eyes sparkled after hearing her masters words and hurriedly went to him.

The Handy boy took out a smooth black wool fabric roll, a black dyed silk fabric roll weaved from the magc spider beast and the red velvet textile roll.

He measured the waist, her small shoulders and height and cutted out a rectangular pieces from the smooth and tightly interwined wool textile and black dyed spider silk fabric.

He made smal vertical folds and stitched them horizontally and created a padded waistband, he also stitched the edges removing frantics and unsightly loose threads.

He added the black dyed silk on the side where the seam and frantic edges were, adapted it to the folds of the smooth wool fabrics and sewed them on, giving the slightly folded skirt a sliky inside when worn. He created a hole for her tail to pass trough and stitched the two ends of the folded rectangular sides together, leaving a room for a button clasp system.

Small white buttons were made by leftover bone fragments for the clasp and carved in with his coat of arms and sewed on the side where he left some space to fit in the vertically folded skirt.

The Young looking boy cutted out a pattern for a shirt from the black dyed silk and made it lenghten a bit longer, so that it can be jammed underneath the skirts waistband to look proper, he created buttoned long shirtsleeves and folded collars with neated seams.

He cutted out pieces for a military jacket in her size with epaulettes on the shoulders, usually for a badge of rank and carefully sewed them together.

He also sewed black dyed silk on the insides of the jacket and embroidered his coat of arms on the left breast side and on the left shoulder side with golden threads and contrasted them with framing the emblems with red threads.

Since it got tangible colder he prepared to tailor a fitting long mantle for her with a deep hood out of the smooth wool silk as an outer layer, black dyed silk as a middle layer and at last red velvet fabric as an inner layer for the soft and comfortable feeling.

He also tailored a summer version of the military uniform, what took him until night and they ate their meal, while Narlenia stared into nothingness with her lifeless eyes.

The hyped draconian girl wanted to immediately wear her new clothes but Aluzar send her to order a basin of hot water and clean linen clothes for them to wash themselves first.

As Lofrinfel happily changed into her clothes, he face palmed himself. How could he forget something like that, he thought.

Aluzar immediately sewed several pairs of knee socks from red velvet for the ouside and black dyed silk for the inside, undershirts and long legged underwear with openings for her tail and that reached slightly above her knees, fastened with black silk cords.

The Skirt fitted perfectly like the black shirt that was neatly stuffed between the skirts waist band and with the black uniform like jacket and red velvet knee socks with the black leather boots she looked like a cosplaying japanese loli middle schooler.

Lofrinfel reluctantly said,

“ M-master isn't the material to good for me!? I am just a slave, I don't deserve such luxurious clothes.”

The Boy gently shook his head and said in a friendly tone,

“ No I don't think so and stop degrading yourself. You are now part of my household and you automatically stand above the rest in my eyes, you should wear clothes worthy of representing me. The Clothes of a servant shows the status of their master and I am surely standing above those emperors and kings, thus you stand above their servants and nobles or the like.”

She didn't completely comprehend what her master had said but hearing that she stood above the nobles sufficed to change her mind.

She thanked her master sincerely and bowed,

“ I am really grateful master, thank you !”

The Youth smiled and patted her small head and stroke it, what let her felt comfortable and secured around him.

He began to tailor almost the same style of clothes for Narlenia after assessing her measurements from the spaced out high elf without her knowing.

He sewed an easy to move trousers that fitted tightly to her legs and bottom, the same shirt and embroidered military jacket fastened around her waist with an attached belt and clung close to her upper body emphasizing her voluptuous breast and thin waistline.

He created a string tanga with a creepy giggle from the thin black laced fabric with flower patterns and a provisional bra, what will push up the size of her breast another notch, thus he had to slightly adjust the jacket.

Lofrinfel went already to sleep likewise Azariah that took a liking to the draconian girl, only he remained awake and sewed a summer version for Narlenia with short sleeves like he did for Lofrinfel.

The Night flew by and the Sun enlived the bustling backwater town. Since Gringallos was located besides a river they naturally cultivated crops on the surrounding lands.

The Boy and his groups stayed inside the room and the high elf vampire was still immersed in her thoughts. Everything she had been teached about the gods, everything she and her fellow elfs believed in was a lie. Who was she without her believe, can she still trust their gods and goddesses, she tought and lifelessly stared in to empty space. Is it somethin worth believing in when it was created from the believes of many Individuals, she pondered.

She realized to think for herself, she had been fed with words from sacred scriptures and never saw the other perspective. She never had the chance to decide for herself, they said that the gods predetermined their fate but in truth they couldn't decide nothing, only wispher sweet lies to keep them to believe in them without questioning.

Her mind became somewhat clearer and it was already night and she remembered that her terrifying little master told her that he will erase her memories and with that her personality but she was still indecisive about abandonding her faith towards her goddess.

Lofrinfel slumbered in her dreams and next to her Azariah in a wriggled up posture but the supreme vampire stood at the open window and bathed in the silver light of the two almost complete moon.

Narlenia gazed in fascination at the beautiful true appearance of the handsome boy, bathing in the moonlight. Aluzar softly said in a soothing voice,

“ Still don't know what to think ? Well, I understand your confusion and hesitation. You can't easily discard the beliefs you have been raised with and I won't condemn you for it, but I let you know that you shouln't expect that everyone will abide to those teachings. Everyone is trying to get the best out of their situation, taking advantages of each others and I am not exempt from it either. Most beings have that craving deep enrooted in their personality. Some feign symphaty for the weak and poor, to put them in a better light and some kill people to survive. Good and Evil don't exist in my opinion, they are just words created to justify the actions done to one another. Everyone is twisting the truth to suit their cause but nothing will last forever because we are constantly moving forward and people die with every blink of an eye, maybe I will be killed someday in this mysterious world of magic but until then I will repay my debts and do what I want to do, don't you think so too?”

Narlenia silently listened and his speech gave her the final push to live from now on for her new master, who is a being she can believe in, but she will also try to live and do want she wanted to do, free from naive thoughts like her master.

The High elven pure blood vampire approached the moonlight bathing boy and knelt on one knee behind his back,

“ Thank you for opening my eyes master, I will serve you with all my heart but I want to do it my own way and save the people, who deserved to be saved and kill the people, who deserved to be killed if possible, master”

The Platin silver haired boy snorted with a smile,

“ Hmph, Impudent noisy elf, do what you want but don't betray me or get in my way, otherwise you will truly regret it.”

Aluzar handed over the uniform with the embroidered emblem as a sign that she became part of his household, after she received the formal military outfit and several pairs of revealing seethrough laced underwear and bras and had been clarified what those were, she blushed deep red.

He also prepared multiple black silk pyjamas for Lofrinfel and him and thin black laced night gowns for Narlenia. He giggled while he sewed it for the elven vampire.

On the next day when the Sun illuminated the lands and life once again pumped through the streets, where a freezing cold wind blew and clouds occasionally block the sunlight and increase the low temperature.

He went to Harold's Anvil with his cart carriage after they had breakfast and his group cought glances, they stared at the strange clothrs thst seemed to made out of high quality material.

A yawning dwarf greeted them,

“ Heeeeh, Hey how aaaare you doing. I pulled an all nighter only for your sake, little boy! Here are the requested tools.”

Harold disappeared into his workshop area and shortly came out carrying a big open crate and placed it on the sales desk, a 1 meter long sword like saw blade sheated in a wooden scabbard laid on top of thr crate with a metal hammer with a big head on one side that firmly thined out on the other side then broaden like a blacksmith hammer.

Inside the crate were two boxes in the same size and on smaller box, they had the letters “Wood” and “Leather” carved on the lid.

He controlled the woodcarver toolbox and inside were four different moulding planes, various chisels and gouges, mortising chisels, mallet and hammer, different saws like crosscut, rip saw and a fret saw, marking gauge, brace and gimlet, square and ruler and a hatchet.

Next was the leather working toolchest with a halfmoon blade to precisly cut the leather, sharp flexible knifes and chisel like piercing and shaving gouges with varying tips for the wanted decoration or carving, small pining nails to fix the raw leather.

The smaller box was only filled with many nails and hinges and suprisingly a screw like nail. Everything metallic had been forged with magic steel.

The satisfied Youth finished controlling the quality and praised the dwarfs work,

“ I am really grateful to you Harold and your work is excellent. I can't wait to learn such craftsmenship from you, if I work part time in your workshop.”

The sleepy dwarven blacksmith with the charred beard laughed,

“ Hahahaha, of course ! At first I tought about giving you a part time job as a clerk but if you wan't to learn a bit blacksmithing from me it's okay but my lessons are though so you better prepare.”

The Youth wanted to learn the secrets of magic steel and working in a blacksmithing store will help him alot in this matter.

He chuckled and said in a polite manner,

“ Then I will start coming in the afternoon, the day after tomorrow when I have settled my matters. Here is the pay, 192 gold coins.”

Harold received the pouche enthusiastically,

“ Thank you for your patronage little boy. The Clothes your slaves are wearing are really from high class materials, I thought you needed every single coin, but why are you dressing your slaves in such luxurious tailormade clothing??”

The Supreme pure blood vampire in his human disguise smiled,

“ These clothes were tailored by me and I have learned these sewing techniques from my deceased mother, since I had no female siblings she passed it down to me.”

The midget craftsmen widened his heavy eye lids in amazement,

“ Hoooh, true I hav never seen these kind of cloth designs and such clean stitches invisible to the eyes. Hahahaha, you truly are an amazing boy, you have earned my sincere respect as a fellow craftsmen and maybe you have also a gift for blacksmithing.”

He replied jokingly,

“ Hahaha, we will see, maybe I have only a talent with threads and needles, who knows. Well I will take my leave for now. Narlenia put the items in the magic bag.”

The vampire high helf clad in her black mantle and under her deep hood, putted everything in her magical waist back covering her firm bottom pressed and emphasized by the thight pants and belt. The almost sleeping Harold couldn't keep his eyes away from her breast and ass, what made her furious but she refrained from slapping him because it would made her master lose face.

They headed with their cart carriage to the west section gate and every local resident, gaudy dressed adventurer and suspicious individual couldn't help to look at them as they left trough the west gate in the direction of the river and the forest.

They crossed over the river on a shallow part with their cart. A few distance away from them a group of four prople followed them,

“ Hehehehe, look at those fools they are heading to the Forest of Nal`Vartha”

“ Once they are deep enough we'll ambush them from behind and subdue them, there is only one woman and two kids, this will be more easier than haggling with a brothel whore.”

“ Hihihihi,we will make easy money but don't you think that Timothy is absent for too long. We knocked several times but nobody opened, do you think something happened to him?”

“ Ah, don't talk shit like that, he has Craig and Harzil as his bodyguards they are peak rank 4 Inquisitors don't forget that. Until he returned from who knows where, we will have our fun with that woman over there, hehehehe”

The Sneers and wicked laughter could be be heard from afar by Aluzar and he anticipated such outcome.

When they arrived deep inside the dense Forest of Nal`Vartha, he delightfully chuckled to Narlenia, while giving her a sword,

“ There are some bugs tracking us and I want you to capture them alive. Show me your skills in actual combat or whatever you specialize in, hehehehe”

Narlenia gripped the handle of the one handed short sword and bowed,

“ Eventhough I prefer a bow and arrow, but I will try my best with the sword.”

Aluzar turned around and grinned,

“ Little Lofrinfel watch Narlenia protect us and learn from this fight.”

She formed two fists and held them before her non existent breast and firmly agreed,

“ Yesss Master !”

The four Scoundrels slowly approached them from behind and one of them announced,

“ You should drop that sword before someone gets hurts, Lady!”

Another one of them added,

“ Yeah, my friend here is right, we advice you to lay down your belongings without making a fuss unless you want to get injured.”

The Youngest of them, who looked like a teenager smirked,

“ Why are we waiting, let us just bind them with our ropes and enjoy that woman, hehehehe”

The rough looking burly man, who seemed like the leader reminded them,

“ Hey don't hurt them too much, we will get less for damaged goods and I will get the first dip, understood!?”

The hooded high elven vampire disdainfully insulted them,

“ Hmph, trash like you are the scum of this world and I deem you all unworthy of living on, but my master instructed me to capture you filthy bastards alive for whatever reason.”

The four Men showed dissatisfaction at the the degrading words and one of them rushed to her in attempt to punch her, but the vampire elf swiftly evaded with a side step and knocked him out with a hard knee blow into the stomach and a hit withe short sword hilt to the back of his head.

*thud*

The man slumped down like a sack and the remaining three snorted in annoyance while the leader commanded,

“ Be careful she is skilled!! Try to get to those kids behind her and take them as hostages, I will deal with her!!”

The two executed at command and ran pass her, she attempted to block them but a sword slash from the burly leader distracted her attention and forced her to avoid his attacks, unveiling her flawless beauty.

The rough looking lrader sneered in surprise,

“ Hoho, how lucky to meet an elf. The Profit will go through the roof to the sky, hehehehe”

With self confidence he brandished his two handed broadsword and smashed down with the flat side of his broadsword as not to kill her.

Narlenia blocked the incoming swing from above with her short sword, while supporting the sword with both her hands and braced herself for the impact, but astonishingly she didn't even budge a centimeter or sensed any pain from the shockwave.

Now she realized that she gained strength surpassing her race, she wasn't a normal high elf anymore. The bautiful elven vampire pushed the heavy broadsword back with all her might, what made the muscular leader startled in having his powerful attack repelled so easily and he flew backwards with his bastard sword from the unblievable force enforced by the elf.

In the meantime the two other men approached the two children with evil grins,

“ Now be good kids and don't try resist or we have to use some force.”

The teenager looking guy also sneered,

“ Yes, listen to us uncles and it won't hurt, hehehehe”

Lofrinfels heartbeat pumped like crazy and various memories surged up in her head, she clung herself on to the black cloak of Aluzar.

The youthful looking supreme vampire smirked a malicious grin underneath his hood ,

“ Azariah, I think your new companion needs some help. Show me your hunting techniques improved, but only subdue them because I need some tst subjects. I will feed you with the other human cadavers I kept in my ring as a reward.”

Under his cloak multiple hissing sounds could be heard and a excited voices resounded in his head,

“ Yesss massster-your wisssh-isss our -command.”

The eight headed winged serpent shot out underneath the boys cloak, like a spring and spread his 2 meter wide wings and scared the wits out of the two pathetic men.

Out of fear they jolted back, falling on their asses and struggled backwards with their shaking legs, while screaming,

“ WHAAT....WHAT IS THAT MONSTER!!??”

“ I don't care, we have to get out of here”

Narlenia avoided with smooth movements the desperate attacks from the bulky swordsman, he had no choice but to use his trump card,

“ Tche ! You fucking elven bitch, I am a peak rank 3 warrior and hold the title of Proeliator, don't underestimaze me! ”

The High elf vampire snorted in disdain,

“ Hmph, even so you are only a mere human scum, commiting vile acts. I don't cafe what cultivation rank you have. I am clearly above you and have gained tbe power to end your miserable life !”

The 2 meter tall leader furrowed his eyes in to a menacing glare, his broadsword emitted a yellowish glimmer and he shouted,

“ [Earth Art: Earth Shattering Strike]”

He swung his bastard sword vertically down at the high elf, but the superior agility enhanced by her vampitic mutation made it fairly easy to avoid the slow strike, nertheless the mighty blow hit the ground and crushed the earth, creating a creator around 5 meter radius and shaking the area while exploding a couple of trees in the vicinity into small splinters.

The burly leader smiled a victorious grin but was dumbstruck as he saw that she had vanished, leaving only an afterimage.

Narlenia reappeared behind him and with a carefully aimed strike on his temple, she knocked him unconscious.

Meanwhile Azariah rapidly flapped her wings and the wind pressure pushed them down on the ground while she whipped them with her mst black serpent tail, with two accurate whips from it she immobilized them.

He playfully laughed,

“ Hahahahehe, good it was clumsy but passable. You still have a lot to learn Narlenia. Azariah your technique is quick and on point, very good. Now tie them up so that they can't move or free themselves with their own rope. They will serve as good test subjects for my potions and further my research of developing a drug.”

The high elf vampire Narlenia searched through their bags and tightly roped them up.

Lofrinfel calmed down and asked in an adorable tone,

“ Master, what are we doing in this forest, can't we go back to the city”

He gently pattec her head,

“ We wl live in this forest for a while and train ourselves to get stronger. We will also build a house and don't worry you won't get hurt anymore by greedy beings”

When he finished explainig they searched for a suitable place and found an area clear from trees. He summoned a 200 meter long and 2 meter thick tree from his storage and it was one of the trees from the seemingly endless forest that had been felled by Zarantils terrifying magic attacks. First he extracted the good amount of magic tree resin.

He processed the tree into several 5 meter and 10cm thick wooden beams, 2cm thin and 10cm broad wooden planks with a lenght of 10 meters. He moved with telekinesis the several shaving planes and smoothend up the surfaces while he also carved out plugs and notcheswith the chisels and gouges.

He laid out an elevated rectangular wooden square floor with an area of 90 squaremeter,he separated them with wall frames into three rooms and attached an elevated corridor floor connected to another wooden square floor that witdthened to 30 square meters.

The little Architect put up the frames for the walls while leaving out a corridor space of 1 meter, surounding the 90 squaremeter wide area and integrated the corridor under the roof. Everything till now didn't required a single nail, but now he carefully nailed the planks in a vertical position and serrated other planks into tiles and planed them in wave forms.

When he also planked the roof he covered the house with resin and polished it with cloth linen from the Inn and also aplied the tree resin on the tiles and tiled the roof with it arranging them in a ditch like formation that will let rain flow perfectly along the tiles.

He made sliding doors for the interior and covered them with Dobukursi fur, for the outside two double doors with hinges and a gap as a grip. He didn't forget do create a fireplace inside the house with a ventilation system, on the the tip of the roof were gaps in the sides in four direction but roof tiles were covering over them and protected from incoming rain.

The traditional Japanese house was neatly constructed with magic strenghtened wood from the seemingly endless forest.

He furnitured the in three separated room building with a lowlegged square table and a white tiger fur carpet. The other two room received a Dobukursi fur carpet. The attached building connected to a corridor was his laboratory.

From the leftover beams he made a wooden cage and enprisoned the four unconscious men. The Boy enthusiastically said ,

“ Now this is our new portable housing, since it isn't attached to the ground I can store it in my interspatial ring. When you get inside you have to take your shoes off, this is an iron rule. ”

The Youth made all the human corpses appear in a corner of the house where the wooden cage was that had no lock or entrance, it was constructed with telekinesis wnd the static made it firm enough to hold them. He went to the separated room from the main building and sinisterly grinned,

“ Hell, I will invent some fucking soap. Why is there no soap in that damn stink hole. How ridiculous is this. Well, now what should I do first...ah!!? I know the potions that needed some more research, muhahshaha!”

Narlenia could only look weirdly at her master with an arkward feeling while sighing at his mad laughter and Lofrinfel tilted her head with a questioning expression. What a strange master they had, they both tought simultaenously.
