Daily Life Of Samuel Zorte

Daily Life Of Samuel Zorte

Samuel woke up at five o'clock in the morning. It was entirely reasonable for him to stand to this time. He learned early in his life, what a good morning routine has for advantages. And so instead of going to bed late and standing up late, he went to bed and stood up early. In the beginning, it was harsh to stand up this early, and he needed an alarm. But with time, it got better until he didn't even need an alarm clock to wake him up. Samuel looked around his room as he stood up. The bed, which served him as his place of rest at night, was utterly standard. It was a bed like every other, with no decorations or other things that could make it unique, just like everything else in Samuel's life. The room which he used as his bedroom is m2 big. Other than the bed, there was also a desk with a laptop atop and a commode with drawers in the room. The drawers were labeled after school subjects like English or math. It could be seen that it wasn't used for a long time due to the thick layer of dust on top of the commode and the handles of the drawers. There was also a big dresser in the corner of the room, which was the most massive object. It was a real monstrosity with its five meters in length, one in width and two in height. It was as plain as the room. The room was pure white. The walls, roof, and the ground were white. If not for Samuel himself, the would room look abandoned, as if nobody lived in it. The room was completely devoid of any personal belongings or other things that an average person would have in his bedroom.

Samuel started his daily routine. First, he went to the dresser and took some clothes out of it for the day. Next left his bedroom through the only available door. What comes into his view, after he opened the door, was a very spacious corridor. As he went down the hallway, five of the six entrances on the left and right of the passage were ignored. The doors led to other parts of the house. Some of them laid empty for more than ten years, and some were used nearly daily.

Samuel entered the second door on the left. Behind it is a very spacious bathroom. Since he woke up, he didn't show interest in any of the things surrounding him. The carvings, decorations, and other ornaments that could be found in the hallway and bathroom were nothing new or exciting in his eyes. He had seen a lot of different decorations, but he could never understand why people would spend money on such useless things. In the person high mirror in front of him could he see a person. That person was, of course, himself. He was 19-year-old, with short black hair and deep blue eyes. Samuel's eyes looked lifeless and cold like the deep of the oceans. His face was masculine with fine lineaments. The face looked emotionless and cold. His face looked like carved out of marble cold and hard, but it was also beautiful in its own way. In school, his classmates said that he had a handsome face but that he is an icy person.

Cold. That described Samuel's personality perfectly. But he isn't only cold. He is emotionless, not like a killer or murderer, who doesn't feel emotions anymore or has twisted feelings. No. He never felt emotions and couldn't understand them as a consequence. Already as he was only four years old was diagnosed that he had a personality disorder. It wasn't something overly wrong with him. It was just that he couldn't feel emotions like other people do.

This disorder was one of the reasons why he dropped out of school. At the age of thirteen, Samuel left the school and began to learn alone at the mansion of his family. Until Samuel left school, he lived with his uncle in the city near the school.

His uncle wasn't wealthy, which was in contrast to Samuel's parents that possessed enormous wealth. His uncle wasn't a very kind person, to begin with, and raised Samuel only to find a way to get the wealth that he inherited from his parents. But his parents who naturally knew of the character of his uncle have written in their will that Samuel only got, until his 18th, access to a small percentage of his wealth that can only be used for his well-being and education. With this clause and Samuel, who grew into an intelligent person, not to say a genius that naturally recognized the disposition of his uncle, the uncle didn't get a single opportunity to come into possession of the wealth. As Samuel then dropped out of school and with Samuel's difficult personality because he couldn't feel emotions, had his uncle enough and kicked him out of the house. This act wasn't anything extraordinary or something to be sad about for Samuel because he couldn't feel emotions, except for one exception that he discovered later. The only thing he thought about was 'what to do next?' and the answer to that was to live alone with nobody that restricts him and no social activities that he must attend. So after that, Samuel moved to the mansion of his parents in the countryside.

He never got to know his parents, since they died as he was six. But even if he thought about their death and that he is lonely, he could only think about how he would not be disturbed by irrational people, who led their emotions to make decisions for them. Not that he was any better, but he didn't know that at present.

Then he looked down his body and could see in his inner eyes the transformation, which his body made in the past six years. He had a well-trained body that wasn't overly muscular, but they are clearly defined. The muscles looked more focused on endurance and explosive power than pure physical strength. The difference between him and most other people that train their body is that he didn't exercise to look good but to be able to perform his hobbies without being restricted by his body.

The body of Samuel only supported the masculine aura around him. The combination of his body and face let him only to be more good-looking in the eyes of other people. Not that he cared. After he finished in the bathroom, he proceeded with his daily routine.

First was breakfast, which he made in a much too big kitchen for one person. Over the years, he developed in a very pragmatic man and did just what was necessary. Samuel neither had any preference for food, nor would he eat something not.

This behavior was recognizable by only looking at his breakfast. It was a mixture of all different kinds of food, and they did not mix well together.

The taste of Samuel's breakfast mixture was horrible but was on the positive side full of proteins and other nutrients, which the body needed. In the mansion could be seldom seen any luxury articles, and most that were present were old. The only electronic device with internet access was his laptop in his bedroom and even that he used only on rare occasions. While most children spend their time today in front of the computer, playing games and chatting used Samuel the time to study.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

After finishing breakfast, it was time for the next task on his daily routine. He left his mansion through the front entrance and looked back at the house. It was like said an enormous estate. It stood in the middle of the forest that was owned by his family and presently by him. It was far away from other civilizations. The wood was one of the largest forests in North America. The estate has three stories and could house a family with 20 or more people comfortable.

In front of the mansion was a vast, open plain. The tree which surrounded the estate on the other three sides could be seen in the distance, two hundred meters away from the front entrance.

Samuel started his daily jogging trip. He tried to choose a new route every day to take. He tried never to select the same way twice. Naturally, after six years of daily jogging, there weren't any new paths to use. Over the years, he learned to identify the terrain and the plants around him, and present, he knew nearly every place and plant in the surrounding 10 km of his house.

He never even once took a walk in the surrounding forest for fun. Most of his life, Samuel spends his time training and studying.

"What a wonderful day." Samuel smiled in the direction of the rising sun. "What would I give to know why people get happy and how it would feel to be happy."

The happy face that he made instantly transformed in his usual emotionless expression. He thought that the sun was pleasant to look at and was interested in the laws of the sun rising, but he didn't feel anything if he looked at it.

Following his one-hour jogging exercise, he went to the gym, built in the mansion, and brought by the money inherited by his deceased parents.

He did the training of the muscles that he didn't use in his daily life, so to have a well-balanced and overall equal muscle structure. The next on the agenda is the library.

He collected a lot of books from all other the world. The content was widely varied. Samuel's library contains books about the history of Japan, agriculture, politics, combat arts, and more. He liked the feeling of paper and not to be dependent on the internet, so he started his library. He was like a collector of rare and old books. But also new ones could be seen. Not all of the books were of informative nature. There were also romance, fantasy, and one of the latest genres, LitRPG books, in his library. It was by far not one of the vastest collection or most expensive but certainly more extensive and more precious than the regular city libraries.

In the library, Samuel could relax from his daily workout and study more. Samuel liked to study, and it was one of the things, which could come in handy in everyday activities, and it isn't harmful to know more. He started with one LitRPG book that he recently began to read, then went to astrophysics, math, and then over to manual crafting. In particular, smithing, with which he occupied himself the most of his time.

The labeled drawers in his bedroom contain the old notes to the stuff taught to him as he was at school.

Next, he went on to study martial arts. He took the books with the content relevant to his present training with him from the house library and went to the backyard of his mansion.

The most important hobby in Samuel's life is smithing, and most of his activities are centered around furthering his proficiency in this craft. In the beginning, when he started smithing with his thirteen years, he was terrible. The first item he made could only be described as a thing because it was only a deformed lump of iron. Nothing more. But with time and passion, he got better and better at it. He learned the basic smithing techniques from the books and later used the more advanced books only to compare with his own research. He liked not only smithing but also the act of discovering new ways. So Samuel did his own investigations on this topic. With his passion and a lot of effort on his side, Samuel advanced at an incredible pace.

At the age of sixteen, he thought about blacksmithing in general and if he could really make excellent weapons and armors, even if he didn't know how to use them.

This thought led Samuel to start training and studying in different martial arts styles. Following, he went to his computer and brought books about all kinds of martial arts. He even had a short trip to china and japan, the lands most renown for their ancient martial arts culture. With the help of different trainers, Samuel learned how to wield the weapons to the best of his abilities. Afterward, he trained daily the basics. Samuel wasn't a master or even advanced with fighting with weapons. But he could wield them. With the one-handed sword, he trained even a bit further and was moderately proficient with it.

His knowledge reached from wielding weapons from scimitar to the longsword and the bow. Yes, he learned even the bow. One time he forged a bow from flexible metal. He wanted to test it, but because of his lack of knowledge about the bow, he couldn't. Of course, he learned it after this event.

After finishing his combat techniques, he looked up. It was already midday.

"Ah, it is nearly time. But first, I should eat something."

With the food in his hands, he went to the smithy. The smithy was located in the basement of the house. It was a large smithy but not something unexpected for a man as rich as Samuel. In the corner were different kinds of ores like iron, silver, or bronze. In another were a worktable and a grindstone. On the worktable were tools to carve a handle from wood and the materials for leather handles. At the back of the rooms was a big furnace, which uses coal. In front of the furnace were an anvil and a smithing hammer that lay on the anvil. Next to the anvil was a wooden barrel with oil in it.

Samuel went to the anvil, grabbed the hammer and sighed. The hammer was one of the self-forged tools of Samuel.

"Finally. How I missed you in this short amount of time."

Although Samuel usually doesn't feel emotions, if he is forging, he can feel alive. It is difficult to describe, even more so for himself. But only if something pertains smithing Samuel can feel a touch of emotions. These are the only times when he can feel a little bit like an average human. Especially the feeling Samuel perceives while is forging is challenging to put in words. From what he read, this feeling which he senses should be a little bit like satisfaction, but it is a little bit different for him. It feels like everything is at the right place to the right place, as if only when he is forging is everything in the world where it should be. Only in these times feels Samuel truly alive.

Samuel started smithing. Today he started a new project, a steel sword. The sheath was finished the day before. As he began smithing, it could a small spark be seen in his otherwise emotionless eyes. A spark of emotion and feelings in the deep cold blue ocean. Small but not extinguishable.

But little did he know, the life, he knew, would be soon overturned. It would evolve into a life of adventure, exploring, action, and feelings. But through all this, one thing would never change. Like a gigantic mountain unshakeable und immortal. Like a fire in the dark, a guideline for his life. That was his passion for blacksmithing.
