Book 8 Plot: Part 9 (Finale) – Leaving the Yulan Plane

Seeing that, Linley understood this fight ended in his loss. Still, he wasn’t in a bad mood. It just made him more determined to improve.

Ace, on the other hand, sighed as he didn’t know what he could do, as it seemed that no weapon would be able to withstand his true power.

Beirut nodded at Linley’s state of mind before turning to Ace and sighing helplessly. Beirut acknowledged he had heard of all kinds of monsters, but without a doubt, none could even begin to compare to Ace.

He then explained that After breaking through to the Full-God Realm, not only had he comprehended the embryonic state of paragon flames, but his natural Willpower had already reached one full unit, like a normal paragon – and after using his Divine Ability, his Willpower directly doubled.

He then went on to say that just by relying on his comprehension, without the use of his Bloodlines, his strength had reached the level of a six-star fiend. When using his [Observation & Armament Haki], He could be considered a fairly powerful seven-star fiend. When using his ordinary Willpower, he had neared the upper limit of an infernal realm Asura, but when using his Divine Ability on top, though he couldn’t be said to have truly reached the paragon level of power, he was infinitely close.

But then he continued by saying that he knew that eventually, he would venture outside of their Yulan Plane, and he even agreed that for someone with his potential, going out and adventuring on his own was vital, but he should never use his Willpower, not unless it were a last resort.

If any of the other sovereigns were to find out, he would be turned into a Guinea pig until they were able to truly understand how and why such a thing was possible, and there would be nothing Ace would be able to do about it.

After signifying he understood, Ace announced that, having already spoken about it with the others, he, Amira, Leona, Killian, and the rest of their class – the original class of the Yin-Yang Pavilion (including Julius) – would be heading to the Celestial Realm in search of answers about Amira’s family.

It was then that Milianna asked Ace why he frowned when he was breaking through to the Full-God Realm, and Ace explained helplessly that it was only when he became a deity that he realised that, due to the ability of his Visual Manifestation, he actually had an affinity to the Laws of Light.

The reason he didn’t realise it till now was because the affinity only became active when he was using his Visual Manifestation, and unfortunately, though he had an affinity to the elemental essence of light, it was overwhelming dwarfed by his affinity to the laws of fire, preventing him from even sensing it.

The reason it was a shame was that when breaking through to the deity realm, the natural laws descend and turn your dantian into a Divine Spark, and at that moment, there are two options for you to choose from:

The first is to absorb the divine spark back into your soul, transforming it into a divine body. Unfortunately, if one chooses to go that route, then in the future, that person will only be able to train in that one law or edict.

The second is that instead of absorbing the Divine Spark into the soul, they leave it outside the body, at which point, the universe itself will, according to the nature of said divine spark, create a second body.

If one chooses to go down route number two, the original body won’t change at all. In other words, they will essentially have a clone of themself. This clone, though, will be a Demi-God, but the original body will remain a saint, but it can continue to train in the other Elemental Laws.

However, there is a price for the second choice as well. The soul will be divided into two. During the process of becoming a Deity, the energies of the universe will protect them during that instant, and thus, the soul being split in half will be a controlled process, and they won’t die from it. However, it will still be harmful to the soul.

The original body will be able to borrow divine power from the clone, but unfortunately, that’s just borrowed Divine power. Although they can borrow a great amount of it, since the original body has no divine spark, it will be much weaker than true divine power due to the fact that there is no divine spark to merge with that Divine power.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Still, although the original body will be weaker due to not having a divine spark, there are still ways to protect it. Because the clone and the original are actually one entity, to begin with, therefore they can reabsorb the clone into their original body. If they do that, although the power won’t be increased, the original body will be protected better. Actually, the only real benefit of this second choice is that it will allow them to train in other Elemental Laws.

Till now, Ace believed that the laws of Fire was the only element he had an affinity to; as such, he didn’t hesitate to follow the first option. But, although it would’ve been painful and weakened him in the short term, had he known that he had another affinity, even if said affinity was poor, he still would’ve chosen option number two.

In his eyes, with his level of perception, even with a poor affinity, he still would’ve one day been able to become a paragon in both laws.

Unfortunately, there was no use crying over spilt milk, especially as there was nothing he could do about it now. Plus, he was content with his current future as it was.

Next, Beirut mentioned how, with their current levels, there wasn’t much he could give most of them to improve at their current levels, but there were a few he could help.

The next thing they all noticed was a few drops of blood, each radiating an extremely powerful and overbearing aura, floating in front of Alissa, Wharton, Hogg, the four Armand brothers, and Lauriella.

Most weren’t able to recognise the significance of the blood, but feeling the not-so-subtle resonance from their own respective bloodlines, Alissa and the others immediately understood that this was likely the blood from their respective ancestors.

After taking it, although it didn’t help boost their respective elemental affinities, Alissa and the others felt that their respective transformations, though not as strong as Linley’s, had still gotten several times stronger.

Beirut added that as it stood, each of them could be considered to have the bloodline purity of a first-generation apex divine beast descendant, but if they really wanted to unlock their full potential, they should visit the four divine beast clans as they had the means to truly awaken their descendant’s bloodlines.

The final gift, though, was for Ace. Beirut brought out a crystalline, crimson-coloured glaive. He explained that since the sovereign spark of fire had been given to Leylin, Beirut decided to gift Ace with a new weapon that would be able to withstand his full power, even as an unranked weapon.

He explained that it was a Godspark weapon made from High-God Divine Sparks of the fire element.

Everyone was shocked hearing that as they all knew that Divine Sparks were supposed to be virtually indestructible, so they didn’t understand how Beirut had made it.

Beirut explained that Godspark Weapons are the toughest weapons ever created, several times more durable than even the most powerful of High-God artifacts, and comparable in hardness to Sovereign Artifacts, but whereas Sovereign Artifacts need to be taken care of for countless years before becoming Sovereign Artifacts, Godspark weapons are unbreakable from the outset.

Unfortunately for most, there are only two individuals capable of forging them: himself and Bebe, thanks to their Divine Ability – Godeater, which allows them to, like Leona, devour divine sparks, but whilst Leona uses them to strengthen her body and comprehension, Godeater rats use them to either strengthen their bodies or mould them into Godspark weapons.

Unfortunately, creating one takes too long. It took Beirut almost the full 150 years to forge it whilst creating the Divine Plane. As such, he couldn’t create them for everyone else. Aside from Bebe, for whom he had long since created a Divine Spark dagger.

Looking at it, Ace couldn’t resist the temptation to try it out and immediately used his Divine Ability, channelling all of his power into it.

As he did, Ace couldn’t help but grin wildly as he felt that it was able to easily withstand his might and then some.

Although it meant he’d have to start the process of infusing his concepts into it again, it was a minor setback for such an incredible weapon. In the end, Ace called it “Blaze”.

After that, they all had a giant feast to say goodbye to the two groups.

After dinner, Ace went to the forest of darkness to visit his master, who seemed to be deep in the middle of enlightenment, and said goodbye and thanked him for everything he ever did for him, even if it didn’t appear that Aiden could hear him.

The next day, each of the sovereigns passed each of them three drops of Sovereign’s might and told it to use it sparingly.

They knew they could’ve passed them more, but after discussing it amongst themselves, Beirut, Leylin, and Ismarelda acknowledged that this was the most talented group of youngsters they had ever come across, and although they wanted to help them live up to their full potential, they didn’t want to give them too much protection in case it caused them to grow lazy, and ended up holding them back from their full potential.

After one final goodbye, both groups said one more goodbye to their friends and families they were leaving behind before entering their respective new worlds.

Not long after they left, Wukong also declared that he’d be leaving to wander around the Infernal Realm as well. After witnessing Ace and Linley’s battle, he realised just how far he’d been left behind by someone he viewed as his little brother, and he was now determined to get stronger as soon as possible.

Before Wukong left, Cesar decided that he’d be going with him, as did Dylin – the king of the mountain range of magical beasts – and Tarosse, the green-haired youth from the lower levels of the Necropolis of the Gods, who’d been released by Beirut after serving his time inside.
