Talk about Godzilla

Hey guys! As some of you can see, I started writing the first chapter of information about Godzilla last night which might be posted today, and you'll read it tomorrow if you get the meaning. But let's talk about the information right now. Ahem…

Hello ladies and Gentlemen. It's Robzilla: Fan of Godzillas. And today I will be talking about information about Godzilla: King of the Monsters. So, just to let you all know, I wrote a long words about the backstory of how Godzilla first raided Japan in 1954, so brace yourselves, you might have a long word while reading the chapter.

The year is 1945, at the end of World War 2, after the atomic bombs, Little Boy and Fatman decimated Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But before the United States used them on Japan, they tested across the Pacific. But they didn’t know that one of them woke something up. In the year 1954 at the end of World War 2. Japan finally repaired the damages on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and it became peaceful for the time. But… what people of Japan didn’t know… is that something will bring terror to their country.

Sometime later, at 3:30 AM, the Japanese fishermen were having a good time in the Sea of Japan until they saw a flashing light that came across under the sea. Then, something burst out and set the ocean on fire, and the boat on it along with the fishermen. They sent out an emergency SOS to warn Japan something was attacking the ship. But it cost their lives.

Meanwhile, in Tokyo… one of the workers received an SOS signal from the boat. Sometime later, in one of Japan’s airports, an American man named Steve Martin was paying a visit to an old college friend. But his assistant told Steve that he was doing his field experiments. Then, a police officer comes to Steve as he wants to take him for questioning.

Steve meets a security officer named Tomo Iwanaga, he informs Steve that something attacked the ship and turned the sea of flames. After the explanation about something attacked the ship, they went to the debriefing room where the Japanese discussed that the ships had been disappearing so suddenly. Then they contact the rescue ship to find the survivors who jumped off the ship. But… something reappeared and set the sea on fire and destroyed the rescue ship, along with the survivors.

The next day, the panic has spread all over Japan. The Nankai Shipping Company was swarmed by distraught families hoping that there was good news for the crew. But sadly, no one knows what happened to them. One of the survivors escaped the ship, but their luck did not last long. They died from strange burns or shock. As the panic increased, the terrified people demanded to take action about what was happening.

Later, after the meeting about the ship disasters with Dr. Kyohei Yamane. On Odo Island, where Japanese natives live are now half paralyzed with fear of something that spooks them. One of the natives spotted a raft, and it was one of the survivors from the ship. Later, the helicopter was dispatched from Tokyo with Steve, Iwanaga, and the official news reporters who would be questioning the natives about what happened to the ships in the Pacific Ocean, and the Sea of Japan.

That night, after the questioning, there is a night ceremony that one is all but forgotten. Iwanaga explained to Steve the story about the island being beset by many dangers and told the story about many centuries ago, the natives sent out a young girl each year as a sacrifice. Then Steve Martin learned the name of the monster called, Godzilla. He learned that the natives are certain that Godzilla is responsible for the disasters of the ships.

Later, after the ceremony ended, it was a quiet night. Until Steve and Iwanaga heard a loud gusting wind, heavy rain pouring, and a thunderous pounding as they felt the rumble. Most of the natives who were awake saw the monster who was responsible for ships that were disappearing. But some… did not survive. Steve Martin is not sure what happened. But the natives saw what they saw. They believe that it was Godzilla.

The next day, the officials brought the islanders from Odo Island to Tokyo to make a report of what happened last night. Natives from Odo Island spoke their opinions about what happened last night as they saw something that terrified them. Then Dr. Yamane begins to bring the research team to investigate what causes the havoc on Odo Island. Steve requested Yamane to come along after he was cleared by the security office. He accepts the request and gets ready to leave at 2:00 PM.

The Japanese wave at Yamane’s party by telling them good luck. There was a feeling of anxiety among the others, but Steve kept his cool, then he saw two exceptions named Emiko Yamane, daughter of Dr. Kyohei Yamane, and a young marine officer Hideto Ogata. Steve noticed that those two were more interested in each other. Emiko was engaged to Dr. Serizawa, but no one knows that she wasn’t engaged to her, because she has eyes for Ogata. And she sees Serizawa as a very good friend.

After they arrived at Odo Island, the research team investigated what happened last night, then they noticed that the footprints, the wreaks on buildings, were radioactive. As they were investigating, they heard a bell as one of the natives saw Godzilla. Steve, Iwanaga, Dr. Yamane, Emiko, Ogata, the Natives of Odo Island, and the research team head up to the hills to see what’s going on, then… the monster reveals himself, and they see Godzilla.

Panicked, they ran downhill as they were trying to get away from Godzilla. But luckily for them, Godzilla is not interested in killing them. Instead, he moved away from the other direction as he was leaving. Dr. Yamane and others saw the footprints of Godzilla. It was a shocking discovery, yet horrifying. Later, back in Tokyo in the meeting, Dr. Yamane explains the story about the history of dinosaurs and the period of Jurrasic. After the explanation, the representatives stated that if the word of Godzilla goes publicly, it will create a panic. But the other representative disapproves of keeping it a secret. Saying that it must be public. But if it does go public, everything in Tokyo will be chaos.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Sometime later, Dr. Serizawa had a visit with Emiko. He has something to show Emiko, but he tells her not to tell a soul. So he shows her the laboratory from downstairs, but that’s not the reason why he showed her. What he showed her… was something far more horrific. Emiko witnessed the horrific experiment the fish were turned into bones and then vanished without a trace. Serizawa called this weapon an “Oxygen Destroyer”. Serizawa made this weapon so deadly and dangerous, that he feared that if this weapon was used in Tokyo Bay, or stolen… it would be an extinction to the entire human race, and their blood would be on his hands.

After witnessing the horrible experiment Dr. Serizawa made, Emiko leaves the house as she’s keeping the promise. But that night… Emiko and others heard the loud pounding from the distance. If it wasn’t an explosion or an earthquake, then it must be Godzilla. People are panicking and started to run away from Godzilla while it’s making havoc. Earlier at night, people on the ship were having a party, until it was interrupted when they sighted Godzilla. Now Godzilla is destroying the trains and bridges. Steve, Iwanaga, and others witnessed the havoc Godzilla has caused.

Later, after Godzilla left, in the meeting, the Leaders of Tokyo finally decided to take action and make a plan to stop Godzilla. They are going to build defenses, bring tanks, cannons, machine guns, anything to hurt, and stop it. The security officials of Tokyo have been ordered to evacuate to get away from the areas Godzilla might enter. By nightfall, there are empty streets, and the defenses of Tokyo are ready to prepare for what comes next.

Steve stayed in the building as he watched, and made a recording report about Godzilla to the United World News. As the military waited… Godzilla is back, but this time… he walked out of Tokyo Bay. Heading to the defense that has 300,000 volts of electricity. By the time he’s there, the defenses are activated, but it doesn’t stop him from wreaking havoc on Tokyo. The military begins to open fire on Godzilla. But it didn’t phase him because he was too focused on destroying the barrier.

After the defenses failed, Godzilla went to Tokyo and began to turn the city into ruins. Destroying everything in sight, turning buildings into fire with his radioactive breath, and causing helpless innocent people wounded, and possibly die soon. No one is safe from his wrath. Not even his radioactive breath. By the time he’s leaving, the jets appear and start shooting missiles at Godzilla. But that also didn’t phase him. If the missiles, tanks, volts of electricity, and anything can’t stop Godzilla, the people of Japan fear nothing will.

In the aftermath, Tokyo was nothing but ruins of destruction, and the hospital was filled with people who were wounded, dying, or dead. But for some who survived while staying in Tokyo, the research team is checking to see what’s wrong. As for Steve Martin, he too has survived. But was injured during Godzilla’s havoc. The children and the people mourned for the people who died by Godzilla’s destruction. Some of them think that there’s still hope that they’re still alive, for most, there is no tomorrow because they fell into despair.

As for Emiko, after what she saw in the hospital… she has no other choice… but to break the promise, by telling Ogata about Serizawa’s horrible weapon that could destroy all oxygen in water. After the horrible weapon is revealed to Ogata and Steve, she brings Ogata with her to tell Serizawa to use an Oxygen Destroyer to kill Godzilla. She wanted Serizawa to use an Oxygen Destroyer to kill Godzilla because she couldn’t bear more death, and destruction in Tokyo.

But Serizawa refuses because even if Godzilla returns, he can’t risk his project being revealed to the world. He tells them to leave and heads back to his laboratory to destroy his research so no one, not even Ogata will ever get their hands on his projects. Ogata tried to stop him, but when they fought a bit, Serizawa realized that he hurt his friend, but he wasn’t incredibly injured. Then, Ogata convinces him that only he can save Tokyo by using the Oxygen Destroyer, but he still fears that even if his notes and his research are destroyed, there are still memories of his work inside his head. He became distraught and regrets that if only he hadn’t built the horrific experiment. If he didn’t, then everything in Tokyo will be gone.

Then, they hear a choir on the broadcast TV, as the young girls are singing from their hearts called “Prayer for Peace”. Serizawa, Emiko, Ogata, Steve, and everyone in Tokyo can hear them singing, as they’re praying for the dead. After Serizawa turns off the TV, he agrees to use the Oxygen Destroyer. But this will be the first, and last time he used the Oxygen Destroyer. After that, he will think of something that Ogata will never see coming.

Later, Steve is discharged from the hospital and joins the others to witness the end of Godzilla. After they reached their destination, Serizawa and Ogata descended into the ocean trying to find Godzilla. Once they did, he signals the others to send Ogata to pull back up. Serizawa activates the Oxygen Destroyer to kill Godzilla. But it will cost him his life. But in the end… he doesn’t care if it kills him, all that matters is that it will be the end for Godzilla. His final words to Ogata were “I hope you two will be happy” as he knows that those two are together and wishes for them to be together forever.

Godzilla rose and roared like he was crying out as he was afraid to die, but it was too late. Godzilla has turned into bones, then vanished. Without a trace. The people of Tokyo cheered as the terror was finally over, and peace was finally restored. But the cost was too great. Dr. Ishiro Serizawa is dead. Godzilla is dead. Even though some people are happy that Godzilla is gone, after what they saw, they couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. Ogata told Emiko that Serizawa wished for them to live happily together. Emiko cries as she lost a great friend. Even Dr. Kyohei Yamane mourns not only Serizawa but Godzilla as well. He’s saddened to think that Godzilla was the last of its kind. But if there is another nuclear test, then someday, somewhere around the world, there will be another Godzilla. The Japanese salute and mourn the dead to Serizawa, and Godzilla. As of today… this will be the remembrance of how Godzilla first appeared in Japan, and it will be the day… that Japan will never forget.

So that's the end of the backstory of Godzilla 1954. If you're still unsure what Godzilla is, feel free to search Godzilla up, and watch Godzilla 1954 on YouTube. And don't worry about worrying how much it costs. It's free. But the bad news is, you have to watch the ads. Also, there are 2 versions of the movie, the English version of Godzilla: King of the Monsters released in 1956 by Raymond Burr is on it. While the Japanese version is long and uncut. (Update: They're no longer on YouTube. One of the versions are on Crackle or Tubi apps. They're free. Even if it’s on Max who was formerly HBO Max, it does cost subscription.)

I remember that I was on one of AmaLee's live streams on Twitch, she's asking what is Godzilla, and the chat was telling her that he was a radioactive lizard and other things they knew. So yes, he is a radioactive lizard right after the nuke was set off and he's also the destroyer of Japan, but what the chat is TRYING to say is, that he was the lizard but not anymore, thanks to the radioactive nuke. He is now the Destroyer of Worlds.

So, right after the movie became a huge success, it wasn't just a movie. It was a warning for those who are planning to use the nuke for some… things we don't want to think about. But years later, he now became the hero which was the start of the Showa era. Then… in the 80s and 90s, as the Heisei era starts… Godzilla is not a hero he's just an animal and a Force of Nature trying to survive, and Hesei's arc is one of the best, as some people think. Then, there is the Millennium era which might be… different designs and stories of Godzilla. But my favorite Millennium era is “Godzilla: Final Wars”.

Then, what makes me a huge fan of Godzilla is the 2014 version of Godzilla published by Legendary Production. Not only did it become the best version of the American version of Godzilla… it was also the TRUE version of the American Godzilla, which is so much better than the 1998 one. And as for the rest, well… Like I said, search it up and see for yourselves.

That's all I have to talk about. Well, have a good day/night everyone, and I'll see you in the next chapter when I feel like writing them. Later!
