Prologue: God's Among Us

Prologue: God's Among Us

The green capes and cloth of the Romans lay still, the black armour and rifles quieter than ever. Their night vision and gasmasks being torn off. Their faces full of either terror or disbelief, maybe both.

Commander Capturius looked up at the being, its metallic armour gleaming with the sun light or was it skin? Its arms spread a hew, its legs hanging. The turquoise eyes glowing down on the weak humankind.

It was flying, a humanoid being had entered the solar system and was watching the Romans from above. The entire world sat still.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Is this an Omen of good or bad? Thought Capturius, he didn’t feel like moving, as if it was sinning in the face of purity. Have we wronged the gods with our Wars? Is this a messenger? He continued to think, confusion taking most soldiers faces as well.

The being lifted his arms and head, and the skyline turned a bright turquoise, clouds swinging out of view, a solar system appeared in the sky, it was purple and shiny, as if ancient yet new. It looked out of this galaxy, and then suddenly, the being and the portal disappeared.

Commander Capturius looked down at his troops, “SEND WORD TO THE EMPEROR IMMEDIATELY!”
