The morning sun came with the chirping of birds and together they woke Mikah up. The young man got up, brushed the sand from his clothes and hair, and looked around him.
In front of him ran the wide river of the city of Mir and behind the river rose the mountains that seemed to be part of a range whose end he could not see. He turned around and saw a dark and thick forest that bordered the river beach. After observing the landscape for a while, he noticed animal bones coming out of the forest as if wanting to flee. Some had their heads removed, others were up to their ribs, and there were even skeletons a few yards away with the skull's face pointing towards the river.
-A real deadly forest- thought Mikah raising an eyebrow -It's better to walk along the beach to go back to the castle.
As he was about to start walking, he stopped and faced the forest. Something bothered him, as if there was something calling him from the depths of the green thicket.

He sharpened his ears and concentrated bringing the "aura" to his senses and then heard a call, a cry for help, a pitiful cry that sounded like a puppy calling for his mother. He couldn't tell what animal it came from, but he knew it was something he had never heard.
He opened his eyes and took another step down the beach toward Mir's castle.
-“This is not my proble.”
Two steps.
-"If I didn't pass by here, life would continue its course".
Three steps.
"Someone else will help."
Four steps.
-"I must look for the castle and find Deom."
The fifth step pointed toward the forest. By the sixth step he had picked up speed and by the seventh he was running in the direction of the forest of bones.
