Chapter-1

Floating Cloud Village

A small village that was situated on the Southern Continent. It was a peaceful village bordering the Forest of Spirits, other than the forest most of the surrounding area was flatlands.

The forest was inhabited by many beasts of varying strength, with the stronger beasts inhabiting the innermost part of the forest. Due to the fact that there were many dangerous creatures living in the forest, the forest had still yet to be fully explored. But there still many people who ventured inside in hopes of discovering a lucky chance.

Even though the forest was teeming with dangerous creatures, for some unknown reason they would rarely stray too far from the forests, thus allowing the village to rarely have to defend against wild beast attacks.

Currently it was still quite early in the morning with many people still asleep. The entirety of the village had a very peaceful and tranquil feeling to it.

As the sun continued to rise higher into the sky, soon people started to wake up and the village began to liven up.

Within a small courtyard at the edge of the village a small figure was repeatedly punching a tree.

"Bang"

"Bang"

"Bang"

This person was Ling Feng, today was Ling Feng's 10th birthday and he was currently practicing his martial arts.

In this world where those with strength ruled over those who were weak, it was quite normal that most people would practice martial arts to strengthen themselves.

Although practicing martial arts would allow one to become stronger and be respected, that was only in the secular world. Those who were truly powerful and ruled the world were cultivators. In the legends it was said that truly powerful cultivators could gain immortality and even move mountains and oceans with ease. It was also believed that if you cultivated to a certain stage you would even be able to ascend to a higher realm.

Ling Feng had been practicing martial arts for 5 years. He had been continuously strengthening his body for the day he turned 10.

"Hah..., its been 5 years now, I'm now 10 years old, I can finally open that box that father left me..."

Ling Feng had been left with a box by his father before he had passed away, and he was told to keep strengthening himself and wait until he was 10 before he opened the box.

He then walked towards his small house while wondering what he would find in the box. Ling Feng and his father had chosen to live in a small house at the edge of the village to allow themselves to attract less attention. Ling Feng spent most of his time practicing martial arts so he had no time to really repair his house so the house was not in a very great condition.

Arriving at his door he then opened it and walked into the house, he then kept walking until he was at his bedroom. Reaching under his bed he then pulled out a small wooden box. The box looked like a normal old wooden box and you would not be able to find anything special about it. Taking a deep breath Ling Feng then slowly opened the box.

Inside, was a small jade tablet and a small bead besides it. He picked up and studied the bead, it was a small bead the size of a grape and it looked very pretty, and it gave him a very profound feeling. After a few seconds he then put it away since he had no idea what its purpose was.

Then he then picked up the jade tablet, Ling Feng knew exactly what it was, it was a cultivation method.

In order for one to become a cultivator one must not only have a spirit root they must also have a cultivation method to allow them to cultivate.

Although Ling Feng had no idea whether he had a spirit root or not he didn't think it would hurt to try.

He then placed it on his forehead and he blanked out for a moment before a stream of information appeared in his mind. The jade tablet then crumbled and dispersed into the air.

Weapon Refining Technique

Although he was a bit doubtful due to the weird name the cultivation method had, he took a deep breath and began to slowly digest the information that had appeared in his mind.

Looking through the introduction he was dumbfounded. Although the cultivation method was focused on the body strengthening path it also allowed him to advance in the Qi path, which would give him the ability to use and manipulate Qi to do magical things. According to the cultivation method it would allow him to strengthen his body to a unparalleled level. But what had surprised him was the fact that the technique would also grant him the ability to transform any part of his body into a weapon or piece of equipment, later on as his cultivation increased he would even be able to turn items he touched in weapons, but the downside was that the cultivation technique would also require him to digest and refine metals to strengthen his body if he wished to make a breakthrough to a higher cultivation realm.

Normally cultivators would follow either the body strengthening path or the Qi path, depending on which one they had more potential in. Only those who were geniuses in both would have the time to cultivate both paths, but this cultivation method seemed to allow him to do both at the same time.

"Such a weird cultivation method..., I wonder what grade it is."

In this world cultivation techniques were graded with 6 levels. From lowest to highest they were: mortal-earth-heaven-immortal-god

"Well, might as well just cultivate since there's no harm in trying."

Ling Feng didn't really care if the cultivation technique wasn't really good. In the end a cultivation technique was still a cultivation technique and no normal person would even be able to see one in their entire life.

Ling Feng then got his bed and sat down in a meditating pose and started to absorb and circulate Qi through his body according to the cultivation method.
