The wind howls as it moves through the cave. Scraping of claws echoes on the walls. Jagged spikes protrude from all sides. Bones litter the floor, some are crushed, and others whole. All of them have teeth marks. A nest of rocks sits in the center of the sizable dome-like room. The home of a large bloodthirsty beast. In front of the nest is a plan palanquin that looks like it could fall apart at any moment. And against my better judgment, I'm sitting inside it waiting for the monster that calls this place home. No, you didn't miss reading that, I'm waiting for a monster to come and eat me. To anyone, this must sound just plain crazy, I sound plan suicidal if I was just jumping into this story at this part, I'd think the same thing as you. Trust me this situation is way more complicated than it seems at first glance.
My name is Cali Wellmen an average college student. Up till now, my life has been normal and predictable. Go to school then work, almost get hit by a car, fall in a puddle, have my wallet stolen, get home contemplate my life choices, find out my homework was ruined, and enjoy my only hobby video games. Think it's sad? That's life, at least for me anyway. Well, it was till I started a new game.
Just a week ago, I was sitting at home getting ready to play. It was a world-building game called God's Revolution, I'd got this game a while ago but didn't have the time to play. Dealing with both work and final exams the game was the last thing on my mind. By the time I could finally take the time to play I found that I'd already lost. After researching a little about the game I quickly found out it had become one of the most difficult games to ever exist.
If the name didn't give it away, God's Revolution is a game where you (the player) become a god and descend into the world called Zoo to create your kingdom. The world of Zoo is a mixture of all the ancient Asian cultures into one odd world where demons roam and the people are ruled by Zodiac animal gods. The creators wanted to make the game as realistic as possible, but that isn't the whole reason the game is so hard. No, that was all the player's fault. Four players to be exact.
The game is meant to be competitive having the kingdoms wage war on each other but four players took things to the extreme. You could say they were rivals but that would be a massive understatement. From what I read they become bitter enemies that would do anything to wipe each other out, even if that meant dragging everyone else into hell. They went on a warpath wiping out one kingdom after another; it didn't matter if they were new or old players. They all fell just the same. However, no matter how many kingdoms they destroyed all four of them stayed equal. Even after the last kingdom fell they were still in a deadlock. A month after it all started, when the dust settled, there was no place in Zoo where their banner didn't fly. This event earned them the nickname the Tyrannical Four.

You might be thinking "she exaggerating", but do you remember I said that the creators wanted to make the game realistic? Well in the real world the amount of land isn't infinite and it isn't in the game. The world of Zoo has one continent called Taeyang surrounded by mist. The internet said that it is scaled to 2/10th the combined size of Europe and Asia. So it's by no means small, but even so, they conquered all of it. They left no room for any other kingdom, and they crushed anyone who tried.
By the time I got around to playing there was no room for me. I was pretty sad about it too. After all, this game was expensive (trust me it was a pretty penny) and I wanted to play it, but it's no fun to play a rigged game. Thankfully the creators saw this and decided to take action. Just so you know they didn't nerf them they couldn't. The game's motto is "Create the world you always dreamed of" and by all means that's what they did. So, the creators couldn't do anything to them for playing the game. Instead, they decided to add land and make it harder for them to conquer it.
Thus the new continent called Tsuki across a newly created ocean was born, adding islands as well. Because Taeyang is landlocked they didn't even have the opinion to create a navy or develop the ability to sail. Making it harder for them to reach Tsuki or the scattered islands giving the other players a fighting chance.
Once I heard that I got excited. It took a month for the update to be finished but it was worth the wait. I started up the game as soon as it finished.
I was surprised that there was a character creation screen. I thought you chose a zodiac animal, an element, then a starting point. Though those things were a part of it, I also got to choose my gender and create a character, hair in all. After thirty minutes I had finished my character. Oddly enough the characters had to be humanoid with animal characteristics, like a beastman from a fantasy novel. She was a water snake god, having white scales on the back of the hands, cheeks, and upper arms. Her hair is medium length, one side was longer than the other, with baby bangs. The color is dark gray fading into white. With jade cat eyes and pale skin. There were a few starting outfits, more than I thought. They ranged from long elegant Chinese dresses and beautiful kimonos to simple peasant clothes. I chose a simple Mao suit for women in light blue.
I started the game, only to have the trouble start right after as light emerged from the tv.
