Andrew continued examining the three Sic-Bo tables more closely. Each one came with a dice cup, crafted from an unusual material. Inside the cups were a three red dices. At first glance, the cups seemed innocuous, but upon closer inspection, they were adorned with intricate, shimmering runes.
"These are enchanted items!" he realized with a start.
He recognized these runes from Master Gonde's books on rune crafting. The books contained sketches of various runes, ranging from basic to legendary.
Andrew picked up one of the dice cups and inspected it more closely. A red mana crystal was embedded in the bottom of the cup, acting as the power source for the runes etched into the surface. One rune was designed for anti-scrying, ensuring the dice within would remain a mystery until revealed, preventing cheating or manipulation.
He knew this rune well, as his master had engraved it for numerous wealthy clients who sought to protect their valuables from prying eyes. But there was a second rune enchanted into the cup, one that even Master Gonde couldn't create.
It was a legendary rune known as the "Indestructible" rune. As the name suggest, once this rune was engraved into an item, it would turn it indestructible. It would become immune to wear and tear.
Legendary enchantments were associated with fabled demi-gods and gods. Demi-god and god were mythical ranks that surpassed the twelfth-star and twelfth-circle, making them incredibly rare and powerful. These being were said to possess immense power, capable of performing extraordinary feats that defied the laws of the world.
They could alter the very fabric of reality, reshape landscapes with a single thought, and even control the elements themselves. Their battles were known to cause cataclysmic events, forever changing the face of the land and leaving scars that could be seen for millennia.
Gonde's books had described these runes as possessing immense power, capable of altering the very fabric of reality. The fact that these runes were etched onto the dice cups was a testament to the extraordinary nature of the casino system that had awakened within him.
Andrew's excitement grew exponentially. But he also knew he had to tread carefully. The ability to engrave legendary runes was a sought after ability among the most powerful mages and warriors in the world. Revealing this information could put him and his casino in grave danger.
"Not to worry. The system will grant you the strength of a twelfth circle mage within a mile of the casino," the system chimed him. "After all, a casino boss must be able to stop cheaters and debtors in their tracks."
"Nice!". Andrew marveled at this buff. He just need to reveal a bit of his aura and that will easily stop anyone from asking questions. Nobody would be willing to offend a twelfth circle mage.
His eyes sparkled with excitement as he thought about the potential of his system. He took his time to meticulously traced the runes from the dice cups into a book, carefully following each curve and line. By studying these enchanted items, he hoped to advance his own skills and create similarly powerful items in the future.
After a few hours of sketching, Andrew stretched and took a moment to appreciate his surroundings. The store's modest dimensions were increasingly strained by the addition of the three Sic-Bo tables.
"Not to worry," the Strongest Casino Owner system reassured him. "I will engrave spatial enchantments into the store to create more room."
Andrew's jaw dropped. The capabilities of his golden finger were surprised him every time.
He recalled countless webnovels he had read in his old world, where protagonists were often bestowed with similar cheat systems. These systems, however, usually came with locked features, requiring the protagonists to overcome various obstacles and trials before fully unlocking them.
But for Andrew, it seemed like he had hit the jackpot. The system had access to spatial enchantments right out of the box.
Normally, only a mage of the tenth circle or higher could even begin to grasp the intricate and complex laws of space. To wield such power, one needed an extensive understanding of spatial manipulation and countless hours of practice. In fact, it took a twelfth-circle mage who was familiar with the law of space several painstaking weeks just to craft a basic spatial ring.

The fact that the system can apply such enchantments to his store left him both awestruck and excited. With the dragon-bone Sic-Bo tables and the ever-expanding store, making a successful casino seemed like a piece of cake.

Meanwhile, Tasha found herself trying to reunite with her old friends, members of the thieves' guild of Star City. This was only a small branch of the guild, but it was the only one that had managed to find a foothold in the capital city of the empire.
Initially, she had joined Gonde's enchanting store with the intention of robbing him, only to discover her natural talent for enchanting. As she learned from Gonde, her loyalty shifted, and she eventually left the thieves guild. Of course, this wasn't easy. You had to pay a fortune in gold before they would allow you to leave.
Tasha didn't care because she thought she would be inheriting the store. But now, with Gonde gone and the store in Andrew's possession, Tasha sought out her former comrades. She intended to persuade them to threaten Andrew, forcing him to relinquish possession of the store.
She navigated through a series of alleys until she came across a door surrounded by bricks. It was the secret entrance to the thieves' guild. She knocked, and a person gazed outside from a sliding peephole. The eyes widened in shock upon seeing Tasha.
"Sis?" A voice from behind the door sounded. A small figure swung the door open. It was a waist-high female Halfling with short green hair named Aini, who was Tasha's apprentice back when she was in the thieves' guild. "I knew it. You coming back, aren't you?"
"No, Aini, but I am looking for the head of the guild," Tasha said.
"Too bad. Fenny will be so happy to see you," Aini pouted, referring to their leader with a nickname.
Upon entering the secret entrance, many of the thieves pointed at Tasha as she passed them.
"Is that who I think it is?" one thief whispered to another, who nodded in response.
"No way, she's back!" another exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise.
Upon entering an opulent office, Aini yelled, "Look who it is!"
Tasha was greeted by the leader of this branch, a wiry human man with a sly grin named Fendrel, her former superior. Tasha used to be his second-in-command.
Fendrel was a highly skilled warrior, having reached the impressive rank of 10 Stars, which made him an influential and formidable figure within the guild. His strength would easily intimidate and force Andrew to give up his inheritance. Tasha knew that with Fendrel's support, their chances of successfully reclaiming the store was guaranteed.
"Tasha! You're back!" Fendrel exclaimed, "I thought you went legit. What's going on?"
"I did, but my master died," Tasha replied, her voice tinged with sadness.
Fendrel's mood shifted, and he offered his condolences, knowing how happy Tasha had been under Gonde's tutelage. "Sorry to hear that. But what brings you back? You must have a reason."
Tasha seized the opportunity to spin a tale. "It's not just that," she began, her eyes narrowing. "That human apprentice, Andrew, cheated me out of my inheritance."
She began to spin a web of lies about how Andrew had cunningly tricked their master on his deathbed. According to her fabricated tale, Gonde, in his weakened and delirious state, had been manipulated by Andrew into signing over the store's ownership. In doing so, Andrew was effectively robbing Tasha of her rightful inheritance. She portrayed Andrew as a cold-hearted opportunist who preyed upon Gonde's vulnerability, taking advantage of the tragic situation for his own selfish gain.
Her former comrades were infuriated by the injustice of her story. The thought of someone committing such a heinous act to a dying man, especially their own master, was unbelievable.
Aini's fist smashed into the nearby wall, causing dust to scatter in all directions. As a formidable warrior herself, her voice rose with anger. "That's despicable, sis! What do you want us to do?" She agreed to aid Tasha, fueled by a burning desire for justice.
Fendrel harbored some doubts about Tasha's story but ultimately decided to place his trust in his former subordinate. He too agreed help her in her quest for justice.
Tasha smiled, a wicked gleam in her eyes. "I want you to help me take back what's rightfully mine. We'll make Andrew give up the store. I want you to just scare him."
She still held some feelings for her fellow apprentice and hoped that he would give it up without much of a fight. Hopefully, he would still stay after losing the inheritance. She knew his business acumen would be very useful once she regained possession of the store.
"I will reward you guys with some gold once business picks back up," Tasha added, further enticing her former comrades.
With their commitment secured, Tasha and her gang of thieves began plotting their next move, ready to confront Andrew and reclaim what she believed was rightfully hers. Little did they know, Andrew, with his newfound golden finger, would not be so easily defeated.
