In an universe there are 4 ranks of gods and the demi-gods.

The Universe god also known as the origin god is the god that was placed into a newly formed universe. They are meant to create and grow the universe they are assigned to. They have absolute control over their universe no matter what. They are immortal and near omnicient. There can only ever be one in a universe that can control it (meaning there can't be 2 or more origin gods assigned to the same universe).

Next, is high gods also known as elder gods, usually the eldest of the gods duh... (asside from the universe god) they can have multiple domains. They can control there domains almost as well as the universe god. This is the rank where you can pick a second domain. They can tell mid and lesser gods what to do. There usually aren't that many of them because they have to be very strong or have to have a large following, all while having the approval of the universe god. They can be killed but it's nearly impossible for any thing under universe god rank. They are normally sealed and have their domain(s) stripped and returned to the possible choises for mid-gods. Though if they are released they will get there domain(s) back.

Next are mid-gods they are the lowest rank of gods with a domain, They can pick a domain that hasn't been all ready chosen. To become one a lesser god needs to gain an enlightenment into the workings of the universe and into mortality. They can be killed though it is very difficult even for most gods.

Next, are lesser gods also known as low gods or just gods. They are immortal, though they can be killed. They are being that have just become gods. They usually chose to journey the world and look for and opportunity to gain strength and enlightenment. Some also chose to start small religions.

Then there are demi-gods aka hlaf gods. They are being s that are either the son of daughter of a god or have gained enlightenment toward godhood and the workings of the universe. They live for around 100000 years and usually chose a high god ot mid god to align themselves with. They usually go around and try to keep balance by stopping or starting calamities. They can chose to naturally gain an enlightenment and become a lesser god or go through a heavenly tributation to gain lesser godhood. Sometimes the universe god with test demi-gods with tests that are easier that the heavenly tributation to help them become gods easier, though only for ones he perticularly likes.
