“It seems the ruckus I caused at the adventurer’s guild is already known.” Tommy said with a chuckle.
“Did you really think something like that would stay quiet?” Rizi asked while rolling her eyes.
“So anyway,” Tommy said, changing the topic. “There will be similarities between the dead body of Elurel and the guards from the adventurer’s guild that I killed earlier.”
“Such as?” Chelna asked curiously.
Tommy did not answer and instead asked. “Am I right in thinking you all want to watch?”
The women all nodded in response.
Tommy sighed as he rubbed his forehead.
“While I don’t have a particular problem with that, what excuse do you two plan to come up with to explain where you were when she was assassinated?” Tommy asked while turning to Rizi and Chelna.
“I will ask Kele to cover for me.” Rizi said with a smile
“Does her input carry that much weight in the city?” Tommy asked.
“Being the strongest person in the city carries its privileges.” Rizi replied.
Tommy nodded before turning to Chelna.
“I will just teleport away back to my residence once the deed is done.” She replied simply as if it was nothing.
“Huh” Tommy replied thinking he had heard it wrong.
“Humph, show off.” Rizi grmbled.
“Wait, you can use teleportation magic Miss Chel?” Meron asked in surprise. “Only those with powerful magic can use that.”
Tue and Jue looked at Chelna with new found interest.
Chelna giggled happily at the look on Tommy’s face, happy that she had got one over on him at last before answering.
“I can, though I would appreciate it if you didn’t spread it around.”
Meron, Jue and Tue all nodded.
((Fuck that is so broken, imagine how much trouble we could have avoided back on earth if we had that ability.))
Because she was feeling happy and proud at getting one over on Tommy, Chelna proposed, “If you like, I can send your three back here and Rizi back to Kele’s office before I transport myself.”
“Just how many times can you use that teleportation magic?” Tommy asked with exasperation.”
“Secret.” Chelna replied while a beautiful smile was on her face.
It was just a shame none of them could witness it because of her hood.
“Well if that’s the case you can use your magic to go collect me some clothing.” Tommy said.
The smile on Chelna’s face vanished and was replaced with a frown before she asked, “Why?”
Tommy pointed at his clothing as he said. “My ordinary clothes are too eye-catching if I’m going to be in hiding for a while.”
Chelna frowned under her hood as she glared at Tommy, no one had ever made such a request of her, she was a princess for heaven's sake. It was normally other people who went and purchased what she needed or desired.
Then she realized something that made her blush under her hood, “I can’t.” She replied with an embarrassed tone.
“Why not?” Tommy asked curiously as the other women listened in.
“I have no money on me.” She replied in a mosquito-like voice.
Although Tommy heard what she said, he decided to have a little fun, “Sorry didn’t quite catch that.” He replied as he leaned in slightly closer as if to hear her better.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
“I have no money on me.” She repeated.
“Once more sorry.” Tommy replied with a grin.
Chelna saw the grin on his face and blushed deeper as she said angrily, “You're making fun of me, I said, I have no money on me.”
Tommy started to chuckle while the other women giggled upon hearing Chelna’s angry tone.
Tommy gave a slight bow while saying sarcastically, “I expected a noble such as yourself to carry money, my apologies princess.”
“Princess!” Chelna exclaimed in surprise and horror as her body stiffened.
Rizi’s eyes also widened in horror.
((Kekeke, look how panicked they both are.))
(I know right.)
Tommy smiled before saying, “Well of course you're obviously a young lady from your tone of voice, and young ladies from noble houses are referred to as princess are they not?”
Chelna’s body visibly relaxed as Tommy’s sharp hearing picked up a sigh of relief coming from her.
Rizi also relaxed before pretending nothing happened.
“Ah I see what you mean, of course, Chelna replied. “Unfortunately since I came here so suddenly at Rizi’s request I didn’t bring any money.”
“Oh!”Tommy said with a smirk, “How pray tell did you expect to pay for your food and drink dear lady?”
“Hmph” Chelna replied before saying, “A true gentleman would offer to pay for a lady.”
(Well she is a princess.)
“I’m afraid I am not a gentleman.” Tommy replied.
“That is obvious.” Chelna responded.
Cough Cough.
Rizi coughed in order to interrupt the two before she said.
“If you're in need of some clothes I can grab you some Tommy.”
Tommy turned to Rizi with a smile and said, “Thank you.”
“So when do we kill the bitch?” Tue suddenly asked.
“Tue, language.” Merno said admonishingly while Jue looked at her sister with surprise.
It was normally her who had the foul mouth while Tue was more polite.
“What, that bastard almost raped my sister, your daughter.” Tue said with anger and hatred in her eyes. “Then this bitch Elurel would have used her authority to get him released without any repercussions.”
Merino sighed, “I know dear and I hate her as much as you, however don’t let anger affect you, keep a cool clear head until the right time.”
“Your mother is correct Tue,” Tommy said. “Anger can cloud your judgment and cause you to make mistakes, sometimes costly ones. If you can stay calm and calculated until just before you enact your revenge, then you can let loose and thoroughly enjoy the moment.”
Tue nodded in understanding as she made sure to remember Tommy’s advice, something Jue did also.
“It seems you have experience with claiming revenge.” Tommy said to Merno, “Have you killed for revenge in the past?”
“Once or twice.” Merino replied with a shrug as if it was not worth talking about.
((Ohhhh I am starting to like this world, people here don’t look at killing with such a one sided view as back on earth.))
(That’s because it’s not a dog eat dog world for most people.)
((You’re right, they live their lives happily, ignorant of what is really happening in the world.))
“But back to my original question, when do we kill her?” Tue asked again.
((We? You’re not doing anything but being a spectator girl.))
“Tonight.” Tommy said, “As I said before we need to eliminate her before she sends people to look for Puniz. Since he is supposed to be joining her in bed tonight from what he told us earlier, she is probably already starting to get suspicious about why he is not there. What is the tallest building outside the noble area?”
“That would be the church followed closely by the adventurer’s guild.” Rizi replied.
“The adventurer’s guild is out unless it is absolutely necessary, Kele already has enough on her plate, does the church have a steeple?” Tommy asked.
“Of course.” Rizi replied, “You can see over almost the entire city from up there.”
“That’s the place then,” Tommy said before withdrawing a bag of money from his pocket (Item Box) and placing it in front of Rizi, “Please go purchase me some normal clothing as soon as possible, afterwards meet us at the top of the church steeple.”
Rizi nodded and picked up the bag of money before she got up and headed for the entrance.
After she left Tommy got up and headed for the stairs.
“Where are you going?” Chelna asked.
“To get my weapon.” Tommy replied as he disappeared.
The four women that were left in the bar area looked at each other curiously as they wondered what sort of weapon was capable of doing what Tommy claimed. After all, only siege weapons were capable of firing over the range Tommy was suggesting but they were not exactly accurate.
Once Tommy reached his room and closed the door he pulled out the piece of paper the naked girl had slipped him earlier and unfolded it to read.
‘An opportunity to join Black Noir, if you agree, bring the item to the place we first met in two days.’
“Black Noir, what's that?” Tommy mumbled.
((Back on earth noir was a type of dark film gene, do these people realize that they have called whatever Black Noir is Black Dark?))
“Apparently not.” Tommy replied as he pulled a lighter from his item box and lit the paper note on fire.
After it burned away he put the lighter back in his item box before pulling out a black storage case.
He laid the storage case down on the desk before entering a three digit code into a tumbler lock on the side and unlocked the case.
As he opened the case Tommy saw his McMillan TAC-50.
