"Then promise me, if you should become queen, to give me your first child." -Rumpelstiltskin, Brothers Grimm
"God, I don't want to die yet." Selene prayed. Upon regaining consciousness, she found the she could not move any part of her. She couldn't even move her tongue nor open her eyes, hence, she just stayed, lying down. For the first time, she felt extremely vulnerable. Perhaps, the witch should have never been trusted.
"Found her!" A voice shouted.
The she felt herself pulled into an embrace. Of course this was already the second time that she has been carried by someone unknown. However, this time she did not feel safe. She can do nothing but hope her rescuer came with good intentions.

"Are you sure the girl's dead?" A woman, with a high pitched voice asked.
"I'm sorry, we couldn't find the body. However, we are sure it is basically impossible for her to live, seeing as her important organs have already been damaged." A gruff voice replied.
"Well, you can only get half of the promised reward, since there is no proof of the deed. Is that alright with you and your team?"
"Yes, it is enough."
After the woman left, she briskly walked and blended into the shadows. Unbeknownst to her, another shadow was following her.
"Ahhhh!" a shout suddenly broke the silence. The people who woke up from their slumber quickly alerted the guards.

The moon was the first thing the Selene saw when she opened her eyes. However this moon was slightly different from the one from where she was from. She felt longing for her home. Her hand reached towards the moon, only to feel aghast.
She saw her hands are now very small, as small as those of children. Looking below, she also saw that her legs grew shorter, her feet became smaller. Seeing no mirror, she just touched everywhere, determining that she had indeed become childlike.
Looking around, she still saw that she was in a fully furnished room, with beautiful decors such as metal figurines of different animals. Her bed was fit for a princess, with drapes at the sides.

"So, where is this place? On a positive note, I am sure those assassins would never find me here since even I don't know if I can return home from here. This seems far, a different world maybe? Hopefully, the witch didn't send me to a different time."
Vague sounds from under her bed stopped her train of thought.
Because the room was dim, she was startled to find someone lying on the floor beside her bed. Upon closer inspection she saw that it was a fat man. Kicking him, the man jumped and hugged her.
"My daughter, you're alright. Thank God!..... WIFE!" The man laughed, while shouting.
Following his shout. A tall woman entered and immediately hugged her as well.
"My baby, I.. missed you" The woman, whispered, while evidently trying to stop from breaking down. Selene identified a familiar fragrance coming from her. But she couldn't remember where she smelled it before.
"Yelena, tell me who took you from us. Father will take revenge for you!" The fat man exclaimed, while he tried to puff out his chest, unfortunately only his cheeks and round stomach became evident.
So, it seems her new life came with loving parent. Awesome! Selene now felt ashamed of doubting the witch's sincerity.
"I'm sorry, I don't remember Papa. Waaah, it hurts. My head! I can't remember. " Selene shouted with hysteria, while holding her head. She didn't have a choice. She needed to pretend that she lost her memories in order not to be outed as an impostor.
The fat man then gingerly carried Selene back to the bed. He then used a clothe to wipe her forehead.
"Sleep.." He urged. Kissing her beloved daughter's forehead, he then placed a blanket over her. Then he, and his wife, quietly left the room; they both went to call on the physician.
"What is wrong with our daughter. I thought you said she was fine." The fat man asked the head physician, who although young, he had a bright mind and was considered one of the best.
"I had already examined her body, and aside from some bruises on her stomach and legs, everything was normal. She had no internal bleeding. That's why I am also quite surprised that she seems to have memory lost. Do not worry, tomorrow I'll conduct another examination."
