Chapter Five

Today is the day I get my first tutor.

If you can call them a tutor, that is.

All in all, she’s more of a glorified babysitter, the same as my maid, but this one will actually talk at me.

Quite a strange woman.

I thought she was a Dwarf at first, she is so short and stocky.

It was the lack of a beard that told me she was human.

I must say, though, that those are very impressive sideburns.

As she barreled into the room, she kept gesticulating while exclaiming something.

“Bevan Athrawes!”

Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.

“Bevin athe-waws?”

The woman chuckled as she clapped a bit.

“ie, Bevan Athrawes!”

Bustling around, the woman, Bevan I guess not certain if that’s her first name or a title; reached into her satchel and pulled out an excessively plain wooden box.

Kinda anti-climactic.

“Amser dygsu!”

Thus proclaiming, she opened the disappointing box and drew out various slates of wood.

One of the slates had a somewhat crude burn-drawing of a very familiar animal, a cow.

“Gwartheg”

“gwawthed”

“ie”

“Gwartheg yn dweud?”

I tilted my adorable little head so cutely as my pretty eyes looked on questioningly.

“Moo”

Oh, she was asking what a cow says.

“moo.”

I thank any deity in this world that cameras haven’t been invented yet, because I’m pretty sure that the lady would have gladly recorded me.
