A strange feeling came over TS4893 while it stood upon the tallest tower on the island of iron. Pillars of smoke rose around that looked to have held up the sky for years and the fires that fulled the growth of many abominations that would never be welcome in the face of a god still ever burning strong in the heavy atmosphere that weighed down on everyone near by. The twilight of the sun rising was just enough light to shine into TS4893's core making it feel truly alive. Looking down at the strange creatures bellow filled it with curiosity and it wanted to find out more. It NEEDED to find out more.
How did they walk? How did they talk? How did they breath? How did their digestive track work and how did their brain process information? But what made it most curious was how even with the full force of TS4893's blood lust descending onto them with quiet words. How could they still look around and smile? Why did they trust each other enough to turn their backs for even a second? What made them this way?
TS4893's brain was that of an undeveloped child and it hungered information. Lacking true depth of feeling. Lacking strategy. lacking anything but raw unmatched instincts.
"Time to hunt" Words whispered as quiet as a mouse would scurry across a floor. Though to some people blood lust makes that sound of a scurrying mouse move across a metal floor leaving behind an echo that travels for miles. The creature took a few steps forwards though Just before it jumped off the edge of the tower in search of its prey it was interrupted by a feeling that one of the knights sent a gaze at its direction and this gaze made the creature take a step back.
8 miles away Wesler turned his head towards the exact place TS4893 was standing. A huge pillar of infernal ash obstructed his view and the sounds of the roaring fire that fuelled TS4893's inception overwhelmed any attempt to hear TS4893. Though the feeling of danger that plagued his mind... that was all Wesler needed.
Drawing a long and simple yet elegant well made dagger from the sheath at his waist and taking a quick slash in the direction of TS4893's all so high up tower, was just the act of a slightly paranoid mad man to the guards around him. Slashing thin air and expecting something to happen.
But both Wesler and TS4893 saw what happened. The pillar of smoke protecting TS4893 was cut in half. Had TS4893 not moved It would be able to say it was exactly half the being it used to be. Now hidden behind the tower itself with claws digging into the side of the tower it pulled itself up and observed the being that attacked it. TS4893 used its sorry excuse for a brain to feel what could only be described as.... excitement.
A brain was something that not taken for granted by TS4893, however it was something that could be taken at least. Before it could begin hunting down it's true first enemy it had to get close enough to gain useful parts from the cannon fodder that Wesler surrounded himself with.
'Wesler. Something wrong' The creature's hearing picked this up from 8 miles away.

'No... Just an uneasy feeling. Lets hurry this mission along. We don't want any surprises before we fight the scientist. But at that point I am sure we will be well and truly surprised regardless of our best efforts' Taking one last look directly where TS4893 was standing but new smoke had already blocked a sight that could have let him end the nightmare to come without worry. he turned back to the entrance to the island's internal structure and began the decent to the depths bellow.
TS4893 knew Wesler didn't see through the pitch black wall of fog that worked as one way glass for TS4893 but the fear had left its mark. Burning the feeling into its eyes TS4893 marked its first target. Wesler Toriphi, The knight of the hawk would be the first to die in this game of life and death.
7 people that would taste delicious. TS4893's eyes didn't see people nor even enemies. It saw parts. Some had useful bones while others had interesting muscle tissue that set them apart from the others due to the microscopic slight changes and DNA mutations in each of them. Broken down simply TS4893 would have to get close and eat them before it could even think about hunting Wesler.
How do you get close to a bunch of people wearing metal? Simple. TS4893 jumped down from the tall tower it stood on and used its left hand to claw through a line of metal on the seemingly endless decent into the dark abyss bellow yet to be illuminated by the light of the sun. The metal didn't peal off or part. it was fully absorbed into TS4893.
Metal scales forced themselves through tough skin forming the shape of the knights armour.
With newly formed eyes so kindly taken from doctor Luke TS4893 was able to see what it was up against under the same light as Wesler would see the abomination that is TS4893. A man wielding a long and thin dagger marked with the head of a bird though the exact bird was one never seen before by TS4893. Unconsciously driven on instinct and the biggest adrenaline rush it had yet to feel. TS4893 fell into a wide open broken and rusty pipe to prepare for a slaughter as it followed its prey from a distance and prepared to ambush anyone out of position.
Long legs propelled it through the underground network of pipes and tubes that stretched across the vast space through the island. Moving in the walls and through the cracks. Waiting in the shadows for the chance to strike. The knowledge of this was infused into muscle memory. A final gift from the mad scientist behind creating its ever evolving form.
A smile crept onto TS4893's pale grey face as it formed the helmet that would protect the intelligent life form beneath.
Sentience is truly a dangerous thing to gave to a being who cares not for its fellow creatures.

Enjoy the chapter. I hope to get 1 a week out but I would rather not rush or hold back on releasing a good chapter to this story.
