I died....

I realized this as I floated in darkness, for how long? Years maybe decades.

I can't quite remember how I died, but I know I did. All I know is death, it's painful, and lonely.

Twenty Nine, I think was my age when I died, not to young, not to old... but something must have went terribly wrong.

What happened after my death, you ask? I have been waiting in this dark void, so really nothing happened.

Tried of waiting, Tired of the endless darkness, Tired of being oh so lonely. It almost became unbearable.

But just before I lost my mind, a blue screen popped up in front of me.

I was extremely startled by the suddenness of it, and like that poof, I was out of the darkness.

A bright white room was now surrounding me, it was hard on my eyes that have gotten so used to the darkness. I'd squint and see an old man laying in a huge mattress? He looked sick.

"ahhh....young one, where you the stubborn girl who refused to let go of her memories?" The man would croak   

"huh? What do you mean?" Is reply my voice seeming uninfected by the many years without use.

"Gahahahaha!!!!! Young one didn't even know what she did!" He'd laugh," you are the first ever to keep their memories during the memory wipe!"

"oh...." I'd say," sorry about that..."

"no need to be sorry young one! I haven't had a conversation in over five thousand years! I was getting bored and lonely, but now I've had a chance to speak with an amusing girl like you!" He'd ramble on.

"oh yes! The reason for why I called you hear isn't for me blabbering on like this!" He'd stop and correct himself, "Since you are the first to keep their memories of a life I am going to give your three wishes!"

my eyes would bulge out my head as I was trying to process what he had said.... three wishes huh?

"umm.... I have always wanted to be able to read minds... but! I can shut the mindreading off at any time!" If start," umm... also could I have a taming skill?"

"And umm.... for my last wish... could it be used to take you with me? When I reincarnate I mean..."
