Gina had too much energy to shut down for the night. A quick look at her Status confirmed that she had 924/510 energy, almost double her normal capacity. It slowly ticked down as the energy leaked out of her soul space. With her minions sleeping together in the corner she had the rest of the dungeon to herself.
She already had extended a wide hallway back from the growing room that led to a circular stairway that would only allow one person to walk up or down at a time, the bottom of the stairwell opened out to another long hallway, about 100 meters long. She placed Uden's bedroom down the hall, right next to the stairwell, giving her a simple door.
A heavy wooden door with a proper lock was placed in the hall leading to the stairwell. it was crafted to look like another bedroom door. The back of the door had a metal rod that would slide into a metal bracket in the wall, two arms were attached to the main bar and pivoted so that when the main bar locked, another bar on the top and the bottom would lock into place as well. It was designed to make it seem like it was stuck or barred from the other side. The key slid through a knot in the wood and turned a gear that slid the bolts. Uden would hold the key.
She also made a small tunnel that bypassed the door and exited into the growing room for her minions.
On the second floor she added a room for each of her minions, except Shale who seemed to enjoy sharing a single large room.
Shales room had three stone bunks set into the wall on the left of the door, they were larger than they needed but it gave them personal space. Each bunk had a straw mattress and a cover made from Rashna hide, handholds allowed climbing up and down. In the right wall was a rack of different minerals and some metals, did they eat metal? Didn't hurt to add the metal. The third wall had a series of practice dummies so they could train their scuffling skills. The dummies were basic wood, each had stone weights and pivot points that made them move in unexpected ways when hit, it forced the gnomes to act and react. She knew how to make iron frame dummies that you would wind up, then when you hit the target zones, they would strike back but without more resources those would have to wait. That would be a fun project, there were ways to add gears and cams so the counter would be random.
Pappi's room had tiers of growing beds lining every wall, each tier was set further back creating terraces. Two stone pots were placed in two of the corners, with pappi's original pot holding the berry bush placed in the fourth. She put a high-quality sun lamp in the center of the room. The entire floor was hollowed out down to 1.5 meters and filled with dirt. A stone path led from the doorway to the pots in each corner. She realized Pappi wouldn't be able to reach the higher tiers, so she added in stairs in the center of each wall. in the last corner she added a well that rose 50 cm above the floor and went down another meter below, the well had a tunnel that ran under the floor and came up into the underground pond at the same height as the top of the well so it would naturally maintain the same water level.
Szef's room was circular and made of red and dark grey stone that pushed and chased each other like flames in a firestorm. The stone was carved to follow the flames, giving dimension to the fiery motif. The ceiling and floor were lighter to keep the room from being oppressive. The center of the room held a large kiln, she didn't know what else Szef liked, but the reaction to the kiln was a good start. She added three set of chains a meter apart that rolled up over a set of gears dropped from the ceiling, in between the chains were iron bars with trough shaped toolboxes. When the chains were pulled it would rotate the boxes so new ones could be reached It would work for now, if Szef ever filled them up she would consider adding more. In the corner on a stand she added a copy of Inventory so Szef could request items.
That took some thought. Her minions used her energy, and she shared in their victories, could they access the inventory? She had magic she never tried to use before, might as well try it now. She opened Status.

The first thing that surprised her was the level up, that must have come with the new floor. The second surprise was the increase of skills she never used like Taming and Biology. She had no idea where those skill levels came from, but at the moment she was interested in magic.

Uden had told her a story of a dungeon she was in that had a room that would shoot poison darts at anyone that sneezed. It was a dusty room and they had to dodge alot of darts. She couldn't think of anything mechanical that could do that, likely some kind of magic she didn't know about. Considering she didn't know anything about any magic it was very likely
She knew it wasn't summoning, that was obvious, and the dwarves had told her all about Industrial magics. For the dwarves, and most races magic wasn't a craft in its own, but the extension of skills that gave those with magic talent more control over the physical world than those without. Langdens thought using magic was taking on the power of God and discouraged it, though when magic was part of the process when using tools, it was seen God's power coming from nature. If the Langden church ever caught someone forming fire with their thoughts they were a heretic, if they used a forge and fan but the flames burned higher than they should it was industry.
Machinist gave you intuition on the workings of machinery. Chemists could reverse engineer compounds and predict reactions. Elementalists had an affinity for working with a specific branch of nature, depending on their personality. Fabricationist allowed a deep understanding of the composition and weakness of structures, assisting in design and forming (Goburi's master used this).
Going over the list the only thing left was Spatial magic, but she had no idea what it did or how to use it. If the magic was a part of her though, she should be able to see it in the book like the amount of stored material was listed in Inventory. She imagined a magic section in Status, then opened the book. There, after her stats was new pages.
Industrial magic was much more filled in, each of the four categories allowed some form of energy transfer including embodying ones soul and perception into the materials at hand. "Does this mean I could be the book?" for a brief flash she was Inventory, every page was an extension of her being, every scuff felt in detail. She instantly snapped back "Well, that's unnerving, we will have to play with that later" the next entry was the one she was looking for
Spatial Magic - Define areas of reality with specific rules for that space. Rules must be written and viewable before entering the area of affect. The easier for the rules to understand the more durable the magic. The more specific and more logical the rules the more powerful the magic. The more defined the space the more defined the magic.
Now that was something she could work with! She changed the cover of the book.
Inventory - This book contains a list of materials available to those working for Gina, and only accessible to those working for Gina. To requisition simply specify type, shape and amount of material needed.

They needed te dungeons treasures to buy food and materials to get their Restaurant up and running, and there was always unforeseen expenses. Unfortunately, it was still the deep depths of the night and she couldn't get any of her minions to test the new rules defining the book storage spatial magic. She continued down the list and started working on Sapana's room.
She made the room look like a underwater cavern, using lighter colored stone to create many ledges nooks and crannies. The floor has uneven but not uncomfortable and had a pool in the corner that connected to the well in Pappi's room.
Hopefully Pappi wouldn't mind a shortcut between the two rooms...
She knew from both sapana's elaborate outfit and her high clothwork skills that she would probably enjoy some sewing areas, and put all the cloth she had in her inventory (from the dead bandits) in the rocky crevices. Along with the bolts were spools of thread and a couple of needles placed on a workbench with some shears. These were just reforming what was on hand. eventually she would get a pedal sewing machine, but that luxury would wait. The final touch was a mossy bed in the corner, if Sapana wanted different sleeping arrangements she could just ask.
That left Kawn. The newest member of the group. For Kawn's room Gina had no idea where to begin so she just started making ledges that came from the walls at random. Each ledge had stone furniture and served different functions. There was a drawing area, two libraries (one for reading one for storing), a sleeping nook with a hammock... She didn't want the floor to go to waste so she added something of an obsticle course with loops, hoops and flowing lines in case Kawn wanted to practice flying. The books on the shelves in the library were mostly empty, she tried to recreate some that were in Goburi's bookshelf but couldn't remember them word for word. She would have to give Uden some gold to go get some.
The last thing the living area needed was lighting, she looked at Master Catalog book for options. She added some stone candle lanterns in Shales room, giving it a formal look. Pappi got a very expensive growing lamp for 100 energy. Szef's room got two magical torches per wall. Sapana's room became a little more magical with a ceiling of bluish glowing mushrooms that must have been absorbed at some point, along with a magic lantern above the work station. In Kawn's room Gina added some round glow lamps that she set into some stone pillars so they could be moved if Kawn didn't like the look.
Finally along the hallway she added some magical lanterns, since she already had the crystal in her inventory it was pretty cheap. Each room got a simple door with more rules to unlock the spatial locks. "Spatial locks, look at me being all fancy"

She had a good knowledge of the physics behind locks, and imagined the elements weighing down on the mechanism as she wrote the rules. Hopefully it would work.
The next area to tackle was the kitchen. She had never been in a kitchen, or had any experience with one, so she began with space. The new kitchen would be where her old living quarters and workroom had been. It turned out to be pretty large and also very empty. She summoned up the cooking fire from her Master Catalogue, it was a pathetic stone ringed fire with a simple grate and spit. She moved the kiln into the room to make it look less empty, her plan backfired, making the room look like random storage.
The kitchen was depressing, even after adding a hood to catch smoke and adding copper racks with pots and pans hanging from it, it was still depressing. She decided to start with breaking up the monotony of the floor, putting all her focus into stonework she changed the flat floor to take on a herringbone pattern, by separating the shades of stone she added a pattern of black, white and gray flames. She focused even harder, flattening the surface until it shone with a polished gleam. The walls got the same treatment, only in the whitest stone she had to make the whole room look clean. The ceiling was fine looking rough, but she arched it higher to help remove the smoke and heat, adding some arched supports to make it look less like an upside-down trough.
With the basic structure done, next was the furniture. A row of solid granite tables was placed in the center of the room, smoothed boards were placed on it for cutting surfaces. In the corner of the room she added a much larger kiln made from black stone for baking things in, the dwarves used something similar to cure glassware and pots so it might be helpful. The cookfire also got an upgrade, instead of a circle of stones it became a square tub of stone with sides raised 30cm fixed into the wall, underneath she put in another small cooking kiln. She put the spit into the lower kiln with the turn handle fitting into a slot on the side, a stone door with metal hinges to closed off the lower kiln, a piece of stone slid into the slot that held the spit in place to seal in the heat. The rack from the cooking fire went over the cooking tub.
Nothing about the new cooking arrangement was fancy, she imagined there was more she could do to improve it once there was extra metal, seeing how it was used would also give insight on what would work better.
The final step was to add two store rooms off the back, the dry storage had the hallway that led to the living quarters and the second floor, the cold storage was lined with polished marble to keep it cool, she also added some water channels behind the marble that flowed from the river above and emptied into the pool below.
She had some ideas on how to cool the cold storage more, but for now this would work. The cold storage door was solid stone and 10 cm thick with an edge that was rounded from the circumference of the door's pivot point, the pivot point itself was two arms that stuck back from the door into the wall, held by pegs. The door, door frame and the pegs were all smoothed flawlessly, it had taken all her focus and three hours to build, and drained most of her mental Alertness. If this a normal kitchen the normal wear and tear would jam up the flawless door over time, but as a dungeon she never had to worry about normal wear and tear.
Gina added a series of polished squares around the walls, bordering the ceiling. The background was white and in the center was a black flame.
"Now that's the fanciest stonework I've ever seen!" A gnome’s voice came from just outside the kitchen doorway. Gina shifted her focus, desperate for some positive feedback on the finale to her entire nights work. However, the gnome that was standing there didn't look like any of the Shales she knew.
Gina was confused. "And just who are you and where did you come from!"
"We will be taking the wagon, and filling it up on the way out" Was the not so helpful response.
