The lazy boy

The lazy boy

Ahhh! No! you idiot, that's the wrong way. If it were me, I'd probably make the proper decision in that situation.

Haruto Denver, the youngster who whines as he watches the movie, is a college student who is slacking off as his essay piles up.

Oh crap, I'm late for class I'll watch this later. I hastily prepared to leave the apartment; a letter dropped through the door. "Huh?" A letter with a question and an instruction about a game called Lokee - Lokee "Do you want to earn a power?" No.. No.. I'm becoming sidetracked and will be late for class". I rushes to the class, quickly stuffs the letter inside the bag.

I met Genji, my closest friend since high school "Yo! Haruto" I sat beside Him As the class began, the two of us talking quietly. "Hey, look at this letter Genji this fell from my front door this morning, do you have any idea what is a Lokee — Lokee game?" Genji takes the letter and reads it, then responds with a less serious expression. "Isn't this a scam letter? These days, individuals send these sorts of mail to random homes; notice, it doesn't have any sender name written on it". Genji just ridicules the letter; either he, too, has no idea what the lokee – lokee game is, or it is really a scam letter. I stuffed the letter back into my backpack, yet there was a lingering feeling in my chest regarding the letter.

As the class ended, I said my goodbyes to Genji and left the university to head to my part-time work "living like this is so exhausting, maybe I'll get lucky and try the lottery! nahh.. with my luck for sure." I groan anguishedly as I go to my part-time job.

I arrived at Wacdonalds King but while walking, I sense a glare from somewhere, which gives me the creeps. Am I being watched? But why? Hmmm. There isn't enough time for this; instead, I'll concentrate on my part-time job.

After hours of hard work, "Finally, I can go home." On the way home, I stop at a convenience store to get dinner. While inside, I recall the letter and read the instructions I'll need three candles and a white paint to make this work. I bought the three candles with the paint, a brush and my dinner out of curiosity and returned home. As I get closer to my apartment, there's this glare again, and I can feel it with the chilly wind air, as if it's someplace nearby. I don't like it, so I rush inside and open the door.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

I warmed up my food and sat down on the couch and for the time being I read the letter. Step 1: Use the white paint to draw a circle with a dot in the middle on every window in your house; be aware that if you miss even one window, the game will be impossible to win. Step 2: Go to a room and close the door, and wait for midnight. Step 3: Light one candles and say the phrases "lookee-lookee come and see me, lookee - lookee you will not find me" three times, after that you must hide around the apartment for the next 6 hours until daybreak since he will be looking for you outside your window. Note that you must not allow your candles to die out and he must not get a glimpse of you. Ps: if you win, you will receive a prize; if you fail, you will face punishments. With a bamboozle face I ask

"Who's going to look for me?"

*beeb beeep beep*

"Oh! my meal is ready time to eat."

After finishing dinner I tried playing the game since I was intrigued and bored, it was just like in horror movies. "Let's check, it's 11 p.m. I tried to set up the game I took the brush and draw circles on all my windows; is a glass sliding door considered a window? After accomplishing all of that, it's almost 11:45, so I head to my bedroom, which has less windows, and turn off all of the lights in my apartment.

12:00 pm, At exactly midnight, I lit one candles and said, "lookee-lookee, come and see me, lookee-lookee, you will not find me." After the third time, there's a cold breeze slamming at my windows after that a dead night silence as if the city did not exist, but I could still see the tall buildings and other houses. After a few hours nothing happened. I stayed there for what seemed like an eternity, and nothing happened. I got up and attempted to go to the kitchen since I was thirsty.

'I try to open the door.'

'I had Goosebumps all over my body!'

'A black gloomy figure passed through my bedroom windows.'
