The achievement Review

The achievement Review

Impulsive and volatile. Those were the words that could describe this perilous woman.

Her eyes shifted in patience watching the woman she previously used as a pillow wash herself in the rain,

it was a sense of clemency that spooked the lithe woman who kept an eye out as she realized she was in the eye of the storm of Reyna Strashur..

Reyna was meditating… Intoxicated from her frolics with these plant-based women.

The lifelines she had planted seven years ago were unfolding prematurely as one of her house-seized assets did something miraculous,

it went above the metaphorical heads that anyone in the strashur house collection could be proficient in displays.

Reyna sat cross-legged with dark contrasting oceanic hair and olive skin that had a few scars.

She had monochromatic eyes, one blue and the other purple with an inquisitive look,

She scratched her head as she looked at the woman who unlike her pale skin had porcelain skin that had bruises and verdant green hair.

“You’re able to read my display despite it being encrypted?” Reyna said, scratching her head.

“It was encrypted!?” The woman replied.

Reyna laid her hands into the soil relaxing towards the sun.

She seemed quite happy as if fortune was on her side.

She’s been an invalid in her family for seven years since she lost her Automator device

Which deciphered her display, it was an heirloom from her mother and her mother before that.

The thoughts bubbled in enthusiasm and kept bubbling,

She found something beautiful in this exile mist nebula.

Leaning back with outstretched hands, she propelled forward hugging this pillow of a woman.

This sudden attack frightened the pillow woman into bewilderment as she screamed.

She should’ve kept quiet and listened to the others,

Why did she have thoughts that she could’ve been awarded? Her eyes closed in fright, she felt a radiant flow of warmth. Her heart skipped as she realized she was being embraced.

A technical one at that as she felt a loving grip that was both tender and careful,

Which was the opposite of the treatment she received as of late.

“Code: E-o-l-k-a - system please approve this woman.”

System: guest-level user: Reyna Strashur has authorized marriage to Sativa Ellum,

Does the applicant accept?

Sativa was riddled with a complexity of thoughts, such as how it is possible to be a guest-user on your own display system.

Reyna belonged to a species that could only be married once and forever despite their frolicking, and even if there was an iota that this could be overridden,

Reyna's display skills were abysmal. Her display was kept visible even if she didn’t use it.

Sativa tried to determine if there were any tricks, but Reyna had not used any display skills at all.

“We going to go on adventures, sailing, surfing and we’ll enter sanctums together And I’ll train you into a warrior if you want, I'm the best strategian in the Strashur clan

And probably the only one on this side of the galaxy that can train intuition You’re always in good hands” Reyna whispered.

“Really?” Sativa whispered as she was being nuzzled.

“Yeah, intuition is a skill I can teach beyond instinct, that’s why my system is so complex as well”

Sativa hesitated as she felt a warm fuzzy feeling for a Strashur of all people.

“You’re never leaving my sight,” Reyna said, grasping her in further.

“Can… I change my name?” Sativa asked.

Sativa wanted to confirm this herself.

“If you can figure out how on my system, sure,” Reyna said.

Sativa had one hand free, The display illuminated, it was a caramel Nova display. Sativa flicked her fingers while still embraced, bypassing the lock and notifications.

She was bewildered by the complexity, the display was an experimental build and it seems the previous user was Reyna’s mother.

She entered the privileges which were the least difficult and flicked her fingers.

Eolka felt that her world shifted, she could see a few memories that Reyna had saved that were trophies of conquering.

Reyna ruled the southern continent of her world. It was unofficial and guerrilla style but somehow banded hundreds of people.

She was charismatic, socially adept and lived a riot of bursting color. She did everything on whim but it seemed to only be good in battle and frolicking.

These battles all happened while her previous master Laura Strashur was making promises after promises but at the end of the day annulled her vouches yet

Reyna gave full reigns and she didn't seem the type to go back on her word. She thought for a moment.

At most she could put herself as a basic user; everything else would take more time.

System: Name changed to Eolka Strashur - marriage initiated.

Applicants basic user; Reyna strashur, Gerda Fellhorn strashur, Eolka Sativa Strashur.

“Gelda?” Eolka said.

She had taken the name of the password. Eolka seemed nice enough of a name.

“Gerda! My daughter,” Reyna exclaimed as she let go off the embrace.

“The situation! What did the display say,” Reyna asked.

“Uhhm, It was all about Gerda, she received three achievements... She got a patch that unlocked her screen but that’s all the information i got.

A protocol achievement that’s still Tier one but this last one... it doesn’t say a Tier but she got a decree. This all happened in last then ten minutes”

“You mentioned The Empress and the Developers, all patches are noted by the empress for recruitment and a protocol is normal from my great grandmother's side

so it’s normal to get the developers attention but...”

Reyna bit her fingers in contemplation, “Gerda is only six years old,” she said.

She tapped her thighs, “so they're going to send her a transmission?”.

“No,” Eolka replied, “They’re going to reach you, I think... there's trouble”.

Eolka read through the message received that settled an emergency meeting.

The Meeting had already started, “Must I enter?”

Eolka looked at Reyna who was still in deep contemplation.

“Okay, but stand behind the screen,”

Reyna flipped her legs up putting on her pants and silk rag on her chest.

“Let’s do it”.

The transmission activated.

“Reyna!”

A dual screen displayed with the Empress on one side and three of the developers on the other. One of the Developers was shocked at seeing Reyna.

“You figured out your screen?” Developer Lin said from the left of the head developer.

“Sorry for making you wait –“ Reyna announced.

“We’re glad you here Reyna,” The Empress said, “We’re having trouble with all of this”.

Reyna glanced at everyone on the display with a neutral smile,

trying her best to hide her smile.

“How may I be of service?” Reyna said.

“It seems someone registered under you has attained Tier one sets of two,”

“That’s normal,” Reyna said.

“You’re Mistaken, you’re confusing level one and Tier one, this is considered

above level eighty.”

...

“Go on,”

Reyna didn’t flinch as she remained in her composure.

“She also received an achievement our system couldn’t comprehend.

It was set under a decree but the Empress is unaware of it, we need your insignia for playback purposes,” The head developer said.

The person next to her, Lin, was becoming anxious. It was the only person Reyna had become acquainted with prior this meeting.

Eolka put a thumbs up indicating that the insignia was available.

They both tapped the screen with Reyna emulating Eolka’s hand movement.

“You really do know how to use your screen...” the Lin said.

“My insignia is sent, unfortunately my functionality doesn't allow view”.

“All achievements trigger responses, we’ll get a report for a few seconds video segment”.

“We understand your situation,” The Empress said, “We heard from Lin of your inabilities”.

The empress was shrewd in her regards as she looked at Lin.

Reyna felt some confidence that Lin already mistakenly ousted herself in some way.

The Empress was already more aware of her achievements from her youth than Lin.

The conspiracy they’ve held for seven years was about to unravel.

Conspiracies, coups and blindsiding wasn’t a concern in their world, but outside of their sphere,

Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.

Was a military hierachy that could not be broken.

there was promotions all-round, Reyna being the only person who hadn’t received one,

she was the scapegoat but this is what she was looking for.

With Eolka here she can be on the run, in service the tactics were endless but now her daughter is proving might at age six!

The Video playback commenced.

The video jarred showing a blonde man who seemed to be shaking the camera.

“He has a truth compendium, he is an honest man!

“Papa...” a little girl cried.

The video blurred and disconnected as the Queen pointed a shivering finger.

“That...That was a specs op display on a child,”

The Developers frantically worked through the code the report gave them.

Their display was full of algorithms as they entered a frenzy of anxiety.

The Developer spoke first, “The display started operating when it was released!” She quickly reported the log.

For whatever the case may be, the most likely factor is parental relations.

“Reyna have you received a breeding achievement yet?”

“No, your majesty”.

They quickly tried to Launch the next video since only the developers could release a spec-ops Onyx display – the mystery was clear of being Tier One.

Reyna couldn’t be held responsible for this and she kept her composure.

The fact that the owner was a child caused their minds to panic.

they quickly flicked their fingers trying to get to the next video.

The second Video playback commenced.

Eolka yelped and quickly held her mouth, her fear was on the breach but for her, the fear was missed entirely as her mind fell into panic.

No one on the display heard her or processed her at all... for all hearts stopped in that moment.

A ghastly cold that seemed inter-dimensional ignoring the screen as they felt it’s cold.

There were people there holding it back – they were dealing with the breach and not

the terror that could be felt. It almost felt like the terror was avoiding the team around the child.

“Are they unaware?” The main Developer asked.

The Video could last seconds if this was the achievement but something unexpected happened.

A phantasm self-released and the head developer paused the screen before the empress could utter a word.

Reyna slowly let out a smile, she didn’t care if it was suspicion because this was evidence.

The phantasm was an iridescent bear that had a condition of a purple claw. It belonged to only one family and was assigned at birth to Lin.

As a developer she didn’t need to use it and it was already known that she was assigned the position by commander Vegra despite her lower intermediate ranked display.

“Enara,” The Empress said.

“I’m already on it! Eris, Lin is under court martial – send her to the holding docks!”.

Lin barely made a stutter as her frozen body was moved away by her colleagues.

The Empress furrowed her brows at Reyna but kept silent.

The head developer Enara continued the video. The phantasm went inside the bridge into paths of cave-like structures.

It took items bit by bit. It took random items of silver and gold from loot haphazardly as if speeding to a location.

The phantasm reached a river with dimming light. Reyna while cross legged let out her foot tapping Eolka, she blinked signaling her to close her eyes.

Eolka closed her eyes by the conviction in Reyna’s stare.

Whatever is in this garden must’ve been here for milleniums.

The Empress broke her armrest white- knuckled and Enara disappeared from her screen.

Eolka had her eyes closed, whatever was in the tunnel completely sealed its aura.

It seemed part of the wall like an object if it hadn’t spoken.

“The little girl,” A voice croaked, “Tell her...to give..me a punch...for a prize...”

This wrinkled man, soiled in sediment levitated a few books and pamphlets from a ring he had,

“Tell that...Automator...to increase...the threat...to reach...this...”

The screen whited out. Reyna felt relieved, that croaking old man confirmed that her automator was in the child.

That was the last possible video to watch. Lin’s phantasm recorded the damage

and got wiped out to an essence and most likely triggered a return commandment.

Whatever he gave her, amongst them, was most likely the decree.

They didn’t need the head developer to say it.

“Enara, you’re free to end your side of the transmission,” The Empress said.

Enara had her hand out but she stayed under the table until she clicked the end button. The development team transmission ended and only Reyna and the Empress remained.

Reyna and the empress stared at each other, the empress with a vengeful conviction and Reyna with a firm resolution.

The queen realized that she had been scorned…

“...I’m going to die in 24 years, for what reason…”

“It’s precisely that your highness,” Reyna swiftly responded.

“I don’t understand…” The empress replied inquisitively.

“You’re the last of your pedigree - we won’t be able to pass through the lamenting walls,”

“There is enough space! You haven’t even seen the sanctums” The empress shrieked.

This couldn’t have been Reyna’s plan.

“Tell me what happened?” The empress shouted.

Reyna was already prepared to tell her everything to get on the empress side of things.

“There were six people: Strashur clan Laura, Lillian clan Lin, Alchemist Alster, Merchant Erlon, Environmentalist Silia Raynor and Commander Vegra.

Vegra had a breeding edict, she realized too late That she could use this token to fight for royalty. She found something called a review in the sanctum,

some kind of achievement. It was able to put attributes on a person like our trainer edict that Give instinct to babies with the review you can get attributes simply by experience.” Reyna reported.

“Vegra can’t have a baby, she’s past evolution,” The empress took note.

“That’s true, your empress. She looked for a loophole around it” Reyna said, “Vegra did get her baby through a concubine but her main objective was collusion,

if she has an heir that competes in the draft 24 years from now, that child will head the council”.

“Why is it under your insignia, reyna?” The empress said.

“There were two babies that were delivered, one of me and Vegra’s concubine.

I was called in because of my Automator, as Laura's assistant, we all put in something, one child looked like Vegra and mine came out blonde, like the man.

Lin was involved because she could find the designated lineage of people who can procreate with us.

“I’ve heard enough! I will take my soldiers to war” The empress shrieked.

“Empress, what about the 24-year deadline?” Reyna shouted.

“I will simply ensure that Vegra won’t be able to go into status to freeze her age”.

A golden orb came on the screen and entered into a pocket on Reyna’s display.

That’s the royal insignia.

“This will allow your heir to participate in the council under my stead..that is, if you have a plan,”

“Yes, Empress, there is a plan”.

“Then I will leave it to you,” The empress said.

The transmission ended.

“Do you… have a plan?” Eolka asked in hesitation.

“I was a bit crazy when i was young, so i’m sure that my Automator has a plan,” Reyna said.

“Yeah I guess…” Eolka said, “It has Ownership of a World Bank”.

“A world bank?” Reyna exclaimed.

“Hmm, Gerda has leadership over the people who were holding the breach, one of them, Julian Bastian, has handed over leadership to Gerda not knowing anything

about the automator and placed him in a condition where he can’t take it back.”

Reyna thought carefully, if this was true then the merchant Arlon who was involved in the conspiracy must be dead.

“I know what a decree is,” Eolka said, “It’s an achievement of one of my neighbor’s world.”

“How does it work? Do you know?” Reyna asked.

“Diplomacy and bureacracy, that’s… that’s why i can read your display,

It’s a legal system on the first layer but all the privileges above it are attached to your nervous system, maybe…that’s why you married me, since it's legal,” Eolka said.

Eolka blushed as she looked down.

“I’m not regretting, let’s go find someone from your neigbouring world to help us.

Reyna reached out a hand and Eolka gladly took her hand as they got and looked down the mountain in preparation to find an extinct world or it's people.
