Log#000: Welcome
Time: 16th September, 2016
By: Kurai (Founder)
This first log serves as an introduction to the foundation for newcomers, be it experienced scientists or the janitors. This log contains information vital to both, rules that must be followed without fail, and safety measures which must not be ignored. The foundation will not be held unaccountable if anyone chooses to ignore the safety hazards and proceed, whether it be in casual interactions or supervised tests. All found to be ignoring safety protocols or rules on multiple occassions will be removed from their team at once, their social influence or position will not influence the foundation's decisions.
The first thing all newcomers must know is that we are dealing with creatures unlike any other, more than capable of destroying entire military bases with ease, and being virtually unkillable. Unsupervised interaction is greatly unadvised for all staff members. If approached by the creatures, the members are recommended to stay calm and non-threatening. Any attempt to threaten may invoke a violent reaction, it is best to not pay them any mind.
The creatures will be chosen to roam free or be given an enclosure based on their behaviour. At the time of this log only two such creatures are known, both of which you may encounter in the facility. You need not freak out however, while capable of harm, both are exceptionally calm and cooperative, the reason they are allowed to roam freely. It is still recommended to not test your luck, or their patience, and keep distance. A detailed manual of the behavioral tendencies of both will soon be published for all staff members.
For those who wish to know, these creatures have been classified under a new kingdom, named Titanus, due to their massive size. Both known creatures are children, nowhere near being adults, and we suspect there are many more of these out there. As we find more of these creatures, new researches and manuals will also be published. A basic introduction of the creatures would also be included in a log, like the ones written below. Research documents will be submitted to your supervisors, who will review it and may interview you based on it before publishing it. Logs can be published by all researchers and will be stored in a folder present in all computer systems. Any researcher may view these logs at any time at their own leisure.
____________________________________________________________
Titanus kesshō: The first known Titanus creature, an artificially created one, named K-72 by the original scientists. She is a humanoid, around three and a half feet tall. She looks mostly human, with the exception of her strange hair, consisting of pink, black, and, white strands of hair. Other than the hair, the most obvious giveaway would be the two wolf-like ears on the top of her head, or nine furry, pinkish-orange tendrils trailing behind her.
She is extremely calm and shy, the reason why it is best to leave her alone unless approached by her. There has been no case of her inflicting harm on any human thus far. She also has a tendency of wanting to learn more, which could be the case if she lingers around you while you work, in which case it would be nice to explain to her what you are doing. This is not a rule, just a suggestion, mostly as she would like it. There are no consequences of choosing not to do such, she would simply leave once she gets bored.
Titanus peregrinus: The second Titanus creature, found in the USA after it destroyed two air bases. While not yet confirmed, there are two suspected causes for this attack. The most likely one being provocation as the creature has not shown any even remotely hostile behavior since. The other, less likely but possible reason, is being territorial. While the creature has not shown any territorial behavior thus far, the possibility still exists.
In terms of appearance, the creature resembles a falcon the size of a fighter jet. The creature would be found in its enclosure at most times, built on the surface, right above the labs. Only certain personnel are allowed inside of the enclosure, and a minimum of five security personnel must be there when the enclosure is entered.
For interested researchers, it has been noted that in the presence of either of the two Titanus creatures, plants neither wither nor decay. We would like you to look into this at your own pace as there are other more important matters you might be assigned to, which may in turn help understand this phenomenon.
____________________________________________________________
It must also be noted by all recruits that this is a secretive foundation, all of your necessary supplies will be provided in the foundation. You are allowed to use applications for social interaction with family and friends, but any attempt to leak information regarding the foundation is a punishable offense. It should also be kept in mind that all personnel are paid according to performance, someone of a higher position is not expected to slack off on job either, unless there is no work for them at the time.
____________________________________________________________
Important rules: (penalties will be listed after the rules)
1) No information regarding the foundation should be spread to the general public. (Tier 4 offense)
2) Safety protocols should be followed. (Listed along with safety protocols (death in worst case scenarios))
3) Do not slack off on work, we have not enlisted you for that. (Tier 2 offense)
4) Do not talk with acquaintances during work, if urgent, you are free to inform someone and move away for a short while to do so. (Tier 1 offense)
5) Do not make loud noises, you might scare Kesshō. Certain research rooms need not follow this rule, they have been soundproofed properly. (Tier 1 offense)
6) Do not attempt to feed the Titanus creatures. They will eat anything, and if you feed them they are likely to associate you with receiving food. This does not apply to them eating something in your presence without you offering them to. (Tier 1 offense)
7) Do not make the slightest attempt to harm any of the Titanus creatures, it can end horribly for you. (Tier 5 offense, tier 6 offense if done to Kesshō)
8) Do not damage property, and if damaged inform your higher ups immediately. (Tier 1 offense if accidental, tier 2 on not informing higher ups, and tier 3 if on purpose)
9) Do not be rude to others. You are not stuck with them, if you do not like someone you are free to inform your higher ups, depending on circumstances actions will be taken. (Tier 1 offense)
10) Attempt to have fun, and not at the loss of others. There is much to be learned about these creatures, and it has been confirmed they are playful. If feeling down, contact higher ups immediately, we will arrange something. (Not really a rule, just an advise)
____________________________________________________________
Safety measures:
1) listen to superiors, but not blindly. Your superiors are more experienced in most cases, and as such you should listen to their advise and commands. That being said, do not attempt anything reckless or risky on their command. If such a case does occur, immediately report to other higher ups. In the case you do follow through and get injured, the superior will be held responsible for your injuries. (The penalty will vary based on risk and results)
2: do not touch unknown substances or objects. (Tier 1-2 offense)
3: wear the appropriate protective gear, and do not ignore any safety hazards in the equipment. (Tier 1-2 offense)
4: do not bring any objects close to Kesshō's mouth. As stated earlier, she will eat anything, even pens and your devices. Do not bring them near her mouth as she might think they are food. And yes, this is a creature with over a trillion neurons. (Tier 1 offense)
5: do not venture on the surface without bear spray, there are more polar bears on the surface than people. (Tier 1 offense)
____________________________________________________________
Penalties:
Tier 1 offense: you will be confronted for the offense and given a talk, no one likes those so it's best to stay out of trouble.
Tier 2 offense: your name will be announced in the entire facility with your offense on Sunday, and your name will be published on a wall with your offense for all to see.
Tier 3 offense: your rank, income and work position may be changed, along with a fine, as well as the penalties for tiers one and two.
Tier 4 offense: you may or may not be removed from the team as well as all the agreement penalties. If not, your devices will be confiscated for some time and you won't be allowed access to the internet. You are free to watch videos on a tv in your room, so do not attempt to modify it to use the internet, we will know if you even try.
Tier 5 offense: you will be removed from your team and possibly the foundation. Depending on the severity of your actions, you may be fined or tried in court, which may end you in prison.
Tier 6 offense: This penalty is only for anything done to Kesshō, who is my, the founder's, adopted daughter. Depending on the severity of your actions, you might be brutally injured, which might lead to death. The foundation will not be held accountable for any injuries you sustain in such a case, you are free to try me, the founder, in court however, if you live.
____________________________________________________________
Detailed manuals for safety measures and rules for different jobs will be handed to you here. All personnel must remember all the rules and safety measures, this is for your own safety and the foundation's.
I am looking forward to working with everyone here, however, I am not a researcher, or even experienced in the field, and as such some of the trusted researchers will be supervising you for the most part. We wish you have a great time here at the foundation, and help us in better understanding these creatures.

Research#001: Titanus anatomy
Time: 26th April 2016 — TBA
By: [][][][][] [][][][][][][][][][]
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
This is a summary of the research being conducted to find similarities in the anatomy of the two specimens currently available. These similarities will serve as the basis of classifying a creature in the kingdom Titanus.
The primary similarity thus far, the most glaringly clear and unique from all other creatures, is the structure termed as the 'Core' in their body. The Core is a radioactive mass of crystallized energy. Efforts are currently being made to determine the amount of energy stored in them, but no success has been achieved thus far. It should still be noted that the Core does not leak this radiation, it is stored inside of it, bringing it in contact to a human body will not have adverse effects, but precaution should be taken as we still know very little.
The other similarity is the unnaturally light bodies of these creatures. Their weight is capable of changing based on their will we believe, but there are some common measures. Titanus kesshō usually weighs around two kilograms, extremely light for a creature of that size. Titanus peregrinus also weighs a mere eighteen kilograms, despite being the size of a fighter jet. The only explanation thus far for these light bodies is the fact their bodies is not made of the same material as most others creatures. Their muscle tissues are much lighter than normal tissues, and nearly their entire body is composed of unknown compounds which mimic the function of the part they are used in. These compounds are lighter and tougher, making them extremely powerful even at small sizes.
The next similarity would be the lack of a digestive system in their body. Their organs of this system are missing from the stomach down, having been replaced by mostly muscle tissues. The oesophagus connects to a small spherical chamber in their chest, lower than their lungs. Here, the food gets absorbed by the Core and broken down completely, leaving nothing behind. Due to nothing left behind, the rest of the digestive system is unnecessary, and thus discarded.
Along with the digestive system, the excretory system and all related organs are also absent in these creatures. Any substances which would be considered as waste by normal creatures can still be absorbed by the Core, which would make discarding them unnecessary and unreasonable.
There is also the absence of reproductive organs in these creatures, which makes deciding their gender impossible. These creatures are considered gender neutral currently, and will be till a way to figure out their gender is found. It also raises the question of how these creatures reproduce, or if they even do in the first place. A species can never survive without reproducing, and it would not make sense for any species to willingly choose certain extinction. Reproducing asexually would be nearly impossible, but the possibility has been kept in mind while continuing.
The lack of these organ systems makes these creatures appear to be a replica of the creature they mainly look like, simply a smooth replica without any details on the body that is present in those creatures, and at times replacing those with others. The best example for this is how the 'skin' of Titanus kesshō is in reality a thin layer of a fur-like matter, functioning like skin and feeling similar to the touch, just exponentially softer.
It is a plausible theory that these creatures simply mimic the form of the creature they first see when born, and in feather-covered birds and clothed humans, it would make sense why they missed several details, and simply used anything in that place. Another example of this comes from Titanus kesshō, that being her jaws, her teeth more specifically.
At first glance they seem like ordinary human teeth, both on closer inspection it becomes apparent they are much different. She possesses forty 'teeth' in total, twenty on the upper jaw and twenty on the lower. These 'teeth', in reality, are a row of teeths, each row possessing five closely packed teeth, triangular from the sides but just like human teeth from the front. These closely packed rows of teeth do have a purpose however. Once the jaw is closed, these triangular teeth slide on each other, helping in ripping through nearly anything with one bite, even metals.
The similarities do not end there however, there are more. One of them being the presence of patterns on their body, patterns which have slight traces of radiation, barely enough to even be noticeable. These patterns are not visible to the naked eye, but the traces of radiation reveal them. Based on how Titanus kesshō used these patterns in the past, it is safe to say these are for the purpose of intimidation displays. When attempting to intimidate, these patterns light up. The light is produced by the energy from the Core, pulsating through specialized circuits in their body.
As for their most unbelievable ability that we know of, that would be regeneration. Both have shown unbelievable regenerative capabilities, healing bones and limbs in an instant. It is speculated the amount of energy in the Core influences their speed of regeneration, which would make the amount of energy in the Core of Titanus kesshō greater as she regenerates the same amount of body mass approximately thirty six times quicker.
The last similarity we know of thus far is their intelligence. Both show intelligence that far surpasses the species they mainly mimic. Despite seeming not that smart, Titanus kesshō has shown she is capable of solving complex problems that a human would take hours for in a minute or less. These are confined to areas she has any knowledge in however, which makes a lot of sense.
This high intelligence goes hand in hand with their most useful ability, along with regeneration, which is adaptability. While both creatures adapt at unbelievable speeds, Titanus peregrinus takes nearly a few weeks or days to adapt to new phenomena, whereas Titanus kesshō takes approximately five minutes, though it varies based on complexity of the phenomena. It should also be noted while Titanus peregrinus adapts temporarily and doesn't shows any difference in speed even when introduced to phenomena similar to what it has encountered, Titanus kesshō doesn't work in that way.
Based on the records of the scientists who created her, it took her a week to eliminate the common cold from her body, without any medication, and the same amount of time for smallpox. When later introduced to the influenza virus, she eliminated it within three days, growing quicker and quicker with every pathogen introduced to her body. The records say by the end she could almost instantly kill off any pathogens, which we have recently confirmed. It is also believed that she developed the layer of scales in her body due to the needles used on her for introducing the pathogens.
While we have found out this much from the two specimens, it is needless to say that on further research these speculative findings may change. The only certainty for these creatures is the presence of the Core, the rest is yet to be determined.

Research#002: In-depth analysis of K-72's mental capabilities (Part-1)
Time: 30th December 2015 — TBA
By: [][][] [][][][][][][][][]
It does not need to be mentioned the behaviour of these creatures is as mysterious as everything else about them. Titanus kesshō, or K-72, is a great example of this. Despite having a human-like appearance, much of her behaviour resembles cats and dogs. The major trait of her behaviour is still her curiosity, an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, which may lead to rash decisions.
She has been known for breaking several things while attempting to better understand them, something that is not expected from a creature possessing over a trillion neurons, over ten times than us humans. K-72 is also known for being unpredictable in many cases, other than her basic response to strange phenomena, which is attempting to bite it. The bites would make sense as her tongue possesses far more taste buds than any other creature, and eating something is believed to be the fastest way for her to understand the structure of any material.
K-72's outfit is not made by humans, it is suspected she absorbed her original outfit, replacing the materials with others she preferred. How this works is yet to be discovered, largely because of K-72 being continuously uncooperative in our research on the matter. She refuses to reveal the process to humans, even when offered a reward if she does.
It should be noted she has been found to be highly unlikely to fall for the same trap twice, and not once has she fallen for it a third time. After her wings and jaws were studied by tricking her, she has refused any offers from us. We offered her some chocolates, which are the main currency K-72 accepts, so she would allow us to 'inspect' her teeth and make sure they are healthy, which we did, along with our in-depth research which we did not tell her about. She fell for the same trick again with her wings, but has refused any such offer since.
This behaviour extends to other matters as well, including physical traps. When first trapped in a metal barred cage K-72 seemed confused, the confusion turning to worry when the cage did not open after two minutes. While we attempted to ignore her growls and her tendrils which poked us, we decided that she could not figure out how to open the cage and opened it for her.
This test did land us in trouble as she is not to be harmed or distressed in any manner, but we were able to acquire the permission to attempt the test again. This time however, K-72 acted as soon as we locked the door, slamming one of her tendrils into it and breaking the lock. While she did not show any other sign of aggression, we allowed her to leave as she did not seem pleased by our actions.
We managed to draw a conclusion from this experiment, and the experiments done by her creators in the past. K-72 is not good at dealing with strange phenomena unless it troubles her. Her approach is usually to implement past knowledge, which might not always work. In our first experiment, and her first time in a metal cage, K-72 reached out to us, knowing that we would help her from past experiences. When we unlocked the cage and let her out, K-72 observed how we did it, implementing that knowledge when locked inside again.
She learns at a fast rate, although the difference seems negligible as compared to some of the smarter humans in simpler things. Her higher intelligence is nothing that special, or so we thought, till we decided to lock her in a cage once again, this time with her consent. Instead of slamming her tail onto the lock, K-72 inserted the tip of her tail into the lock, which after twelve seconds of trying unlocked the door, allowing her to open it and walk out, pleased with herself.
While we were aware of it already, this happened to be our first encounter with K-72's competitiveness, and habit of taking such obstacles as challenges. While not yet allowed, we do plan to set up such challenges and obstacles for K-72 to overcome in the future, so to be able to find out her rate of adaptation, and her approach in different situations as well. The primary concern in doing so is K-72's high intelligence, we simply do not wish for her to learn far too much for our own good, a reason she is never to be allowed on the internet as it would give her access a large amount of information, as well as misinformation.
It is also to be kept in mind when dealing with K-72, despite being a creature with over a trillion neurons, she is simply a child, and all creatures when children are unpredictable and not very bright. Due to the levels of intelligence she has showcased at such a young age, it is concerning what she would be capable of as an adult.
This research is not yet complete and will be continued, and later expand to understand the behavior of other Titanus creatures as well.

Log#002: Titanus creatures can heal injuries
Time: 19th September 2016
By: [][][][][][][][][] [][][][][][][]
I am simply keeping this as a log for the time as I am unsure, but I have reason to believe being around Titanus creatures helps in healing injuries.
I broke my left leg nearly a week ago, the reason I am unable to walk straight. K-72, or Kesshō as everyone prefers to call her now, helped me walk around the facility. Although her little body barely provided any support, I could walk with ease. It is now, after two days of doing this, when I went to the doctor on an appointment, that he informed my fracture has already healed.
As I stated earlier, I am not certain whether this is her doing, I only have a strong suspicion. It is not impossible for a creature which can regenerate it's entire body to be capable of healing others, right? It seems possible to me, and reasonable since a femur broken in half would not heal this quick.
I will be leaving this as a log for anyone who wishes to research this in detail, you are free to contact me for details. I am not experienced in biological fields otherwise I would've taken this research upon myself, I am simply studying the various compounds and unknown elements present in the body of Titanus creatures.

Research#003: Physical capabilities of Titanus creatures
Time: 19th August 2016 — 20th September 2016
By: [][][][][][] [][][][][]
This research aimed to reveal the physical limits of Titanus creatures, which we have utterly failed in doing thus far. Their physical abilities surpass what our equipment is capable of handing, an issue that we have reported to the higher ups and have received a suggestion on holding off the research while they find better equipment.
We were also advised to publish our research till this point, which we are doing here. The major point in this research, is to not believe there is any chance of a human or any human made machine to take down a Titanus creature, excluding explosives and such. While not confirmed, it is natural to believe enough warheads will destroy even a Titanus creature, a believe some of us do not hold.
Starting with toughness, the bodies of these creatures has shown to be near indestructible. While Titanus peregrinus is still vulnerable to heavy weaponry and explosives, it has shown to be resistant to bullets, excluding those of high powered sniper rifles. It is also not required to worry about sharp objects that might slice or pierce, under the feathers, which unlike normal bird feathers are fairly sharp and tough, similar to shark denticles. These are more efficient than bird feathers, and are just as light despite seeming heavier at first glance, and are also tougher, allowing it's body to easily deflect bullets.
Titanus kesshō in terms of toughness far surpasses Titanus peregrinus. Her scales are tougher than diamonds, and are capable of cutting through diamonds if enough pressure is applied, and without incurring any form of damage to themselves. These scales cover the entire of her body under the layer of skin-like fur. The scales are resistant to fire, their melting point unknown, and resistant to any form of decay we are capable of producing in a lab.
Her body covered in multiple layers of these scales is mostly well protected, excluding the three of her wolf-like tails, her ears, and her eyes, or so we thought. Her eyes possess protective covers, similar to contact lenses. We have found there to be three layers of temporary covers over the main protective lens, each changing the color of her eyes ever so slightly, the change barely visible to the human eye. The function of these temporary covers is yet to be discovered, our attempts regarding then bore no results.
In terms of strength, Titanus peregrinus surpasses any other flying creature in history. Capable of easily lifting tanks and other heavy objects. Thus far it has successfully lifted ten tonnes with minimal effort, and kept it in the air for over an hour. Its body under the feathers is very muscular, far too muscular for an avian even.
Titanus kesshō on the other hand, possesses very little strength in her upper body. Her punches can barely even be felt by adults, even though they might be faster than the blink of an eye. The majority of her strength is in her lower body, largely due to the space freed by the removal of her excretory, digestive and reproductive organs being filled almost entirely by muscle tissues. Her kicks are capable of ripping a wooden plank in half, a bone shattering force of one thousand two hundred and four kilograms, the strongest kick recorded from her.
The strength of her tails will be discussed in a later study.
These are the only factors we were able to study accurately, the findings from others were far too inconsistent to include, or our equipment were simply incapable of handling the force placed against them. This research will be continued at a later time, and perhaps with more creatures.

Important Announcements:
Time: 1:36 p.m. 23rd September 2016
1] The constructions of two enclosures on the surface has been completed, along with the on surface visitors centre. Now the facility consists of three on-surface enclosures, the main building, and the underground research facility.
2] Reports have been received of a rumor regarding a massive rhinoceros with three horns, easily the size of an elephant. While not yet confirmed these are true, it is suspected to be another of the Titanus creatures. Further details will be announced once confirmed, don't get your hopes up.
3] A strange fire has been noticed several times by several members on the surface, reported as a blue-red fire, burning in the ice but not melting it. The strange phenomena is currently being inspected, but no progress has been made thus far. Any developments will be announced in due time.
4] An underground facility has been discovered in the United States, under an abandoned house, in the middle of deserted land. The descriptions match the facility Titanus kesshō, or K-72, was created in. Await further announcements and reports regarding the matter.
