Tar flew all over the place as the bottle it was stored in collided with the thrall summoned to defend its duchess. Predictably, she instantly started casting her pressure spell, Lucas already feeling the effects. Not wanting a repeat of the last time, he threw second bottle, one that was supposed to ignite everything. It flew and Lucas looked like time slowed down, very second looking like eternity. Results were well worth the wait as bright flash followed by the fire wave exploded in the room. Thrall that was on guard duty was completely swallowed by the fire, but screams that came from the Duchess filled Lucas with vigor. Reviewing the results, he saw the Naga thrashing on the floor, her body on fire on several places, the gray skin blistering and drying. Moving on to the next phase of his plan, he took the second batch of the same mixtures. He got three in total, but if everything goes as it was planned, the third one will become redundant. He turned his attention towards the rest of thee thralls in the room and they were scrambling to get to him, using the same strategy as the last time. He started jogging, building his speed unhampered from the pressure which drag him down last time. Weaving around thralls, evading their attacks and maneuvering all around the field he found himself in the middle of their crowd. Smiling, he immediately threw the first bottle, tar once again flew all around the place, sticking to thralls. Lucas also got caught up with it and that forced him to bait a thrall into attack which he used to activate “Dodge” and somersault over their head. Not a moment passed after his landing, and a bottle with ignition flew above the thralls head, flash this time muted by the sheer volume of bodies. Silently as they were the whole time, all of the thralls started dropping like flies.

“You have slain Drowned thrall, level 37”
After everything settled, only three thralls were left standing, meaning that the maneuver and attack Lucas just executed effectively killed about ninety nine percent of the thralls.
“Talk about efficacy” he thought to himself while dismissing the prompts of the kills. He was back in the action in mere moments, promptly dispatching one thrall. Other two still tried to coordinate and contain Lucas, but without the numbers they tried the impossible. After some more maneuvering, he threw a quick stab on the base of the neck of another thrall, leaving only one. Lucas corrected his position and activated his ultimate skill, mumbling “Infused piledriver”, aiming for the Duchess that still struggled to put out fires that raged all over her body. The last thrall appeared to intercept the attack of course, and Lucas’s skill connected with its head which exploded like a over ripe watermelon. Leaving only Duchess as his opponent, Lucas activated “Death by the thousand Cuts” with every strike leaving massive damage on the blistered skin of the Naga. She screamed and tried to defend, but between the fires and bleeding that every strike Lucas landed increased, she hardly stood the chance. Tiring of this and Duchess looking poised for a final strike, Lucas activated “Guiding strike” his hand automatically going for the eye and he stabbed it so hard that the point of the sword managed to pierce the brain.

“Congratulations! You are now Duelist level 37”

“Stat allocation completed”
Duchess relaxed, only thing keeping her from falling to the ground was the Lucas’s hand which held the sword. Remedying that mistake, he pulled his sword and the Naga dropped down for the last time. Feeling incredibly satisfied, he quickly scouted the room. He didn’t find much value in his fallen foes, as was expected, but he found chests and drawers filled to the brim with materials and armor pieces. The trouble, naturally, was that armor was made in Naga size, but a clever crafter shouldn’t have a problem resizing it. He activated his “Eye for details”, hoping to get a feel about what he was handling.
Exquisite Naga steel coral breastplate (Rare)
The Naga that evolved on the planet called Earth found the planet poor in natural resources in the oceans. What they did have was steel and metal in abundance as well as ingenuity to fuse it with what little deep - dwelling materials they could find, making a unique brand of armor that was flexible enough not to hinder movement, but hard enough to withstand even the mightiest blows. This particular breastplate was forged by a particularly skilled Naga crafter, who managed to replicate reproduction cycle of the Earth corals, giving this armor ability to repair itself. Part of the Exquisite Naga steel coral set.

Lucas was extremely pleased by the amount of loot he found and he hoped they will soon become usable, as his current armor was holding by the skin of its teeth after so many wounds and hits Lucas took. Particularly gaping hole was the one in the middle of his torso which marked the place where he took the hit from heavies in the Camp Hearth, when he sacrificed himself to stop the carnage they were executing all around. That hole rendered his chest piece almost unusable and although he will lose his bonus in Charisma when he replace his battered armor, he was pretty certain Self – repair present in the Naga armor would cure his woes about damaging equipment for a long time. Only thing he was displeased about was the fact that he couldn’t see the bonus full set will bring to him, cursing the System for its obstinacy in providing information. System remained silent in the face of these accusations, which was par on the course as how these conversations usually went. Collecting himself, Lucas decided it was time to group everything of value he was able to find both here and in immediate vicinity, as far as he could go before getting into serious fight. What he succeeds in gathering here was all he would be able to carry out before killing the final boss, as he planned to do something reckless. Namely, he was about to use the training stone which he got as a replacement for the one he already used up and use it as a way to get everything out of dungeon. That would leave him without a way out if things go sour, but he was pretty confident he already pass the worst, at least for him. Giggling at the look of Bruce face when he realized what Lucas did, he started quickly running through the door that was once guarded by the Duchess. What awaited him wasn’t the same layout as was seen before, corridors now twisting in the ways that seemed unnatural as to how the wrecked ship looked from the outside, System ignoring the laws of reality to make a challenging dungeon. He explored them nonetheless, finding a little value before he approached a room that looked more like a cave. Dispatching the guards, he found himself surrounded by the shells. Not just any shell, but the shells that constantly produced pearls. He approached one of the pearls and activated “Eye for details”
Pearl – carrying seashells (Epic)
These seashells have been carefully grown and nurtured to require minimal sustenance to keep producing pearls. Due to the skilled work that went into their maintenance, they have increased rate of producing pearls, being able to make two a day
Deep sea pearls (Epic)
These pearls carry incredible value, being able to be used in a myriad crafting recipes ranging from jewel making to weapon crafting. They are uniquely suited for any type of enchantments or mana focusing roles and raise the quality of the overall work.
Doing a quick math, Lucas found out there about thirty shells overall presented in the room, half of them carrying pearls. That means there were sixty pearls per day, starting from tomorrow, seeing as they still needed to pick up the ones that were currently still inside shells. Seeing the description, Lucas could only imagine how much money they were worth. And of course, there should be a sizeable amount to upgrade his gear. Head spinning from the gold vein he struck, he started packing it. That took a huge amount of time, as the shells weren’t easy to peel of their place in the wall. After taking all of them, which also included a quick sprint back to the Duchess’s room to get another container, he immediately took off and quickly arrived back at the place he was gathering his loot for sending. A bit of repacking was needed, but everything managed to fit into one chest and Lucas placed training stone at the top of it. He took few steps back in precaution, although he was fairly certain you needed physical contact for the stone to teleport you. He activated the stone with a mental command and the chest vanished. With a big smile caused by imagining Bruce’s reaction, he went back to the dungeon.
