Dying was the easy part. Purgatory was the hard part. Suffering in flames during the day, each night Vic returns as a ghost to his former home where he is forced to watch his wife and son resume their lives without him. In the midst of unbearable pain, a brilliant light appears in purgatory, and God asks Vic to become His champion to fight the dark gods. Reincarnated as a man-sized gecko on a strange planet, Vic adapts to his new body while fighting insurmountable odds. Despite the power of the evil trinity, one lesson becomes clear: as long as Vic is fighting to redeem his soul and to reclaim his family, never bet against the gecko from purgatory.
