Chapter 13

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Sounds of immense impacts between two pieces of metal could be heard coming from within the walls of the village.

This sound was not simply banging though.

This sound somehow carried an immense and dangerous force through it. It actually contained power strong enough to resound through the forest for nearly a kilometer in all directions like the gong of an emperor’s convoy.

The immense force in this banging caused all creatures hearing it to feel their skin crawl and fear to entrench inside their souls.

This aura that transmitted through the sound put fear in all beings who heard it. All weak birds flew away, all grazing animals fled, and even the predators that once plagued the village ran without looking back. Their instincts said that a king had appeared and that his territory would be filled in only death.

No matter the king, every creature with even a weakly awakened bloodline running through their veins would feel the danger from even the weakest awakened king. Even a mortally injured king was not what could be fought against.

The villagers watched in fear as Asur, in his largest size, sat at the almost undersized forge with the bone on the anvil and the warhammer in his hand. What was amazing about this scene was that the normally two handed weapon looked almost like a mallet in his hand. That said, the hammer was glowing bloody red with the immense bloodline energy forced into it so that it could actually force the bone into shape.

Once the heat dropped he stuck over half the giant bone into the forge and almost like he was on a small sized forge, he grabbed the bellow and pumped it on his own.

Most of the villagers needed to put their bodies into it after transforming still but with a single arm while sitting down, he pumped it once every three seconds. With the other hand, he supplied the wood when needed.

With such a huge supply of air, the heat from the forge was immense and it glowed like the sun inside.

Still this amount of heat needed nearly 10 minutes of maintenance to heat the bone to glowing before he took the warhammer and once more banged the bone like a gong. Each time it grew harder and took more energy.

After one side was pounded three times, he did the same to the other completely bringing out the metal in the bone. At last he could fold the bone metal.

It was a massive slab of metal that said but Asur was planning to use every last bit of it and make it one single piece.

Working for seven days straight, eating and drinking during the heating moments and folding the increasingly hard bone metal only seven times he finally molded the bone into a hammer and the excess formed a handle. The size of this hammer was just short of being a warhammer for his current size.

Why was it that he only folded it 7 times? Well that is because each folding and forge weld made the metal double in strength. He was able to fold it twice in the first day and a half but each successive fold took increasingly longer.

When he did the final one, he also finished the forgining and made the head and body concentrating at least 80% of the material on the head.

The massive tub made of wood that he used was filled with water at his command on the sixth day and as soon as he finished and heated it completely from top to bottom to glowing, he dunked it into the pool and let it sink.

An explosion was the reaction causing at least a third of the water to instantly evaporate the water level kept dropping for nearly half an hour until it finally stopped.

Looking through the side, Asur watched the glowing hammer finally cool down. It had glowed bright for the entire half hour and he jumped in and pulled it out.

When he held it in his hand, he could feel the immense weight but this is how he wanted it.

“This is… amazing.” Adsila said, looking at the hammer.

Everyone present nodded and looked worried at the hammer. It actually possessed it’s own aura and it was causing the weak bloodline of the villagers to react.

“As expected of that tiger. Even dead, his pride remains deep in his bones.” Asur said slowly suppressing the power of his second mark and returning to the size of most normal transformations with just the 1st mark.

The hammer instantly looked like a warhammer in his current form.

“Since it was from a being with a kingly bloodline, I will appropriately name the brand of metal, King’s Metal.” Asur said happily as he walked to the forge area and took out a pelt to start smoothing out the handle and hammer head.

“Asur… are you okay holding that?” Shira asked

“Hmm? Why wouldn’t I be?” Asur asked as he began to polish the hammer.

“I-it feels like a force will attack us from that hammer.”

“Hmm, I do feel some kind of energy from it… is that why you guys are pale?” He asked.

Shira nodded but Asur just smiled, “Well, I honestly can’t fix that… I can't really feel any danger from it possibly because of my bloodline purity. Still… if you guys are this fearful, how are you going to use the weapons made from those bones?” Asur asked.

Shira looked at the pile and swallowed hard, “If all bones are like this then i think it might even be better to not have them at all.” He said.

Asur, while polishing, looked at the others who somewhat agreed, “It is likely because you all don’t have the purity required to resist the aura. Give it time and when your bloodlines are purified enough you should eventually get to a purity level where the aura won’t affect you.” He said.

“Yeah but… can you leave those weapons stored away?” Shira asked.

Asur just laughed as he continued to polish.

What no one noticed is that the aura was becoming less expressive and more concentrated as the sharp edges were slowly smoothed out. This was making the aura less savage and just a little bit more majestic. Still it pressured everyone so they mostly dispersed.

Asur spent a day to polish the rough edges off and was happy with the result of, amazingly, a forge hammer.

After resting up he actually took the femur to make himself his war spear from one and a sword from the other. He quickly began to separate the bones depending on the specific item he wanted to make. The pelt was left alone though while the meat was eaten over a very long month.

After this long month, another several followed after and soon the chill of winter was upon the village.

Vastly different, the village, though not moved yet, was far different. From fur donning warriors to amazon like huntresses, all the villagers basically lived in their full size.

Only Asur activated his first mark and had armor like he originally had which folded and was sized for his massive full size.

Still, very unlike the next to native indian like appearance they had, now the village looked like a viking clan with furs and leather as their clothing.

“Hmm… winter is finally arriving.” Asur said sitting at the fire outside.

“Yes, the fruit harvest has been bad and the hunting worse.” Shira said.

“Naturally.” Asur said, frowning.

He looked at the cave entrance. Their number of people had swelled to nearly a thousand.

This is all a result of the gate of evolution. More and more people were coming up from the worlds below. It was a trickle but it did slowly come up and as a result, more and more people were coming.

“We definitely need to think about moving.” Asur said.

“At this time of year? We should have moved earlier if we were going to.” Shira said.

“That is true but there is an option you know.” Asur said.

Shira and the warriors looked at him with shock.

“You don’t mean for us to take over the original village right?” Shira asked.

“I do, in fact. About 20 days ago, I actually met several hunters along with a warchief. Normally they would have ignored me like normal hunters do but the warchief actually called me and asked me how we were doing. I actually learned that the village was being harassed by the Raksha. Mostly small hunting parties and mostly hunters with low bloodline purity and didn’t assume the transformation. That said, it seems the fool son of the chief wants to go to war with the Raksha tribes. He already forced his father to pass him the chief mantle after beating his father to an inch of death until his mother forced him to stop.” Asur said.

“Is that fool actually thinking of dragging thousands of innocents to death?” Shira said coldly.

“It seems so, he is forcing many young men to train and become warriors, especially people with blurred asura marks. Apparently he is saying things like, low purity should work harder and fight for their futures instead of staying hidden like rats.” Asur said.

Everyone was scowling by this point.

“What do you men say?” Asur asked with a smile.

They all grinned, “Though we men don’t mind, we have to consult the others.” a cautious elder hunter said.

“That is true but I doubt there would be many who would reject it. Although we were exiled because of that fool, there are few of us who think badly of the innocents.” Shira said.

The elder thought and nodded.

After some conversation they finally called a meeting of the three parties and after some conversation the exiled group were on the ball.

“I think it might be worse to do this.” the representative of the true exiled said.

“Unlike us, you were exiled on your own if I remember correctly.” Shira said. “That means your family is still at the village, including your talented younger brother who is a hunter.” Shira said.

The exiled face turned pale upon hearing these words.

Shira looked at the true exiles, “You all are the same, with family still at the village. You are not like us who came here with our partners. Even that had been split from you.” He said.

“As you say but we are true exiles so we would not be accepted unlike you.” He said.

Asur was watching, “What were the crimes?” He asked.

A few of them sighed but remained quietly.

Shira looked over, “An exile’s crime is their greatest shame but I remember. This elder was actually an excellent hunter and he had hunted the calf of a beast north of the village but not in the grasslands. The color was brown and not yellow so he did not assume they were golden bull.” Shira said.

“Where is the crime in that?” Asur asked.

“Well… after returning with it to the village, the hide was removed and washed and much to his horror, the calf had not only been the calf of a golden bull but even worse is that it was the unheard of calf of a king bull. Everyone instantly panicked and he was exiled, the tracks had to be traced and the blood traces had to be completely covered half way so that they could not completely trace but half way through the bulls found the origin of the tracks while the hunters had covered up half the tracks. Those who were at the other end had ended up killed by the raging king bull. That had almost been the destruction of the village so he was exiled.” He said.

“Is that it?” Asur asked. “I killed two mature bulls and brought them back.” He said.

“Yes but you are a man of great fortune, on the other hand…” Shiva said, looking at the exiles asura mark that had only just been solidified as a result of their current traditions.

“I see, his karma did not balance it out.” Asur muttered.

Thinking a moment, he walked over and touched him on the shoulder. The karma calculation appeared and Asur smiled.

“You do not have to worry about your future. This talk and Shira’s confession on your behalf, it will only bring you more joy than anything.” he said and patted his shoulder.

The men and women looked as he went to each in his human size and spoke with them privately, eventually returning.

“Well… I think I finally understand the deva tribe's true curse and source of all misfortune. The god you pray to seems to only seek to find and curse you all. I am unsure why but it is very likely that the higher realms have immense competition and he does not want more people rising.” He said. “Fucking selfish assholes.” He cursed.

The exiles paled.

“S-sir, please do not curse the gods. They have ears in all places and lands.” the exiles leader said.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Asur looked back, “The reason he has ears is because there are people who wish to pray to him. That is why he can influence the world, he selfishly makes his own race weaker so i see no point in such a religion surviving within the surroundings i live in if he will only send misfortune to me.” He said.

Adsila, the leader of the woman, had a cold expression, “Asur, we will support you in your conquest.” she said.

The men agreed, the last one to agree was the exiles.

They all began to cry, their crimes are all related to religion and did not make sense to Asur.

Eventually they agreed and to the shock of all, they all assumed their Deva transformed shape starting with their leader, “We will help you… if it is to protect our families then we will even overturn the raksha.” he said.

Asur grinned and patted his shoulder, “Then we are all comrades, remove thoughts of being exiles, you are now a true Asura!” he said.

Everyone felt a rise in morale and cheered.

The following day, every warrior from all three factions, now only two factions as the exiles broke down and joined under the others, walked out.

Asur activated his second mark and his body expanded and became a giant among goliath. Like a king among commoners.

The pelt and armor was made purely of the savage claw king and it released a suppression like a king.

This suit was woven by the women and the metal forged by Asur himself and when placed together, they resonated and formed an impressive aura.

He had a huge warhammer and spear on his back, a sword on his waist and a hidden dagger, the size of a normal sword, for butchering.

The rest were using leather and metal mixed armor made of lesser breeds as well as savage claws that had been hunted by Asur.

Rank was already forming among the warriors depending on strength and it depended on their hunting power and their own kills.

Like a force of nature, they rushed like a stampede of bulls and any creature near would run away with their tail between their legs no matter how powerful. With Asur at the front, his aura actually gathered everyones behind him making their momentum even more powerful and after less then half an hour they stopped 50 meters from the gate.

Bells and alarms were coming from the village.

He stood there like a king while Shira walked forward, “Bring out the fool son of the chief! If not we shall storm the village and pull the worm out ourselves!” His voice was loaded with bloodline power along with thick hate for Baal.

The guards were shouted distressed but the exiled Deva just stood there.

Soon the gates opened and from them, hundreds of warriors with wooden weapons and fur clothing came out first. Their weapons glowed red with bloodline power but the Exiles were not in the least worried.

What they did notice was that the villagers looked a bit thinner.

“Asur… don’t they look like they are lacking food?” Adsila asked.

Since they started to come out Asur was looking while the others commented. He smiled, “No, the problem you are facing is you are comparing them to us. Besides having intense bloodline power, we have purer bloodlines so our bodies are much more robust. It makes them look thin.” He said quietly. His voice still reached the others and they calmed down.

They had actually thought that the fool son had been starving the village.

Finally after the village warriors were outside and ready for war the fool arrived.

“What do you filthy giants of the east want!” He roared.

“Giants of the east?” Asur asked.

“Giants are a race that live very far to the east, they are very cruel humanoids who are said to be very savage and don’t think much about eating whole other humanoid creatures.” One of the exiles with greater wisdom explained.

Shira walked out, “Fool son, are you forgetting me? Oh, that expression just fits properly on you. Here let me see if you still remember me.” Shira said.

Shira began to shrink while he pulled a cord that tightened his armor around him.

The eyes of all the warriors bulged out while Shira walked forward holding the huge spear in his hand.

“So fool? Do you remember me?” Shira asked.

“You are that exile… that brought that tail bladed savage lizard to the village.” Baal said.

“Yes… behind me are all our clansmen you have framed and tortured with the prospect of exile.” He said as his body began to grow. “You must be confused by this ability. This is the power Asur discovered, this is the power of the Deva and even the Asura race itself!” he explained.

“AH! RAKSHA!” one of the warriors shouted.

At that moment they finally noticed a number of strange ones.

“YOU! You dare group up with the raksha!” Baal shouted.

“You really are a fool. Is your brain just a decoration? Warchief Asur rose up from the lower realm. If he appeared around here then there is naturally a Gate of Evolution that has opened up near here and members of all three Asura tribes are coming up without even knowledge of the tribes. They are as much a brother as Asur is.” Shira said.

Everyone exclaimed but at this moment a new group appeared and were covered like a living tree creature.

“That…” Baal turned pale.

“I present to you the Yaksha.” Shira said simply. “Now, all you fellow Deva. We are all clan mates and everyone should be aware that this fool exiled us due to his foolish jealousy. We wish nothing more than to return and bring our tribe to glory under the command of someone with true Asura King level bloodline!” Shira said.

Everyone agreed that before anything, Asur was definitely the chief. He was intelligent, charismatic and had many methods that had brought prosperity to them, especially the discovery of metal.

At this moment, Asur took a step and his Bloodline power began to flow through his body. He flowed a small bit through the armor. Instantly that energy was amplified and a powerful aura of majesty surged out.

Most of the tribesmen who didn’t even have complete bloodlines could not handle the pressure like a king to a peasant. They instantly collapsed to their knees as their bodies lost strength. It was a reaction directly from the blood. Only the true warriors with at least a single asura mark could remain standing but they were covered in sweat.

“W-who is this one?!” Baal shouted.

“Did you not just hear him, fool?” Asur asked.

“A-Asur!” Baal said feeling his tongue dry but the next moment, his bloodline power burst out like an aura. “DEMON! That is what you are! You are a demon! You are just like the cannibals, like the Raksha!” he shouted.

Asur scowled and instantly his aura flared as he bent forward and rushed forward.

Like an unstoppable bull, his aura actually crushed against Baal snuffing his own aura and held him in place like a deer in the headlights. Despite trying as much as he could he could only watch as Asur rushed at him and taking a deep step close, his leg swung smashing into his chest.

He instantly flew like a ragdoll and smashed into the wooden walls.

He had held back a great deal but that didn’t mean he wasn’t heavily injured.

Looking at him and then at the warriors, none of them had the courage to look at him as his bloodline power was flaring around him like an aura.

He slowly calmed it but still allowed the suppressive power to encase him.

As he walked towards the gate he stopped as he saw a female figure appear and step over Baal.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at the figure with two asura marks.

Slowly she opened her eyes, revealing the silver godly eyes. “A being of immense potential indeed, however your path has strayed. You view the god in evil sights.” She said.

“Heh, your god is nothing but an evil god of misfortune that is slowly killing you off. Especially by making you give birth to that idiot that was about to send your tribe to their deaths.” he said coldly.

Everyone on their side turned pale at his declaration and were trembling while the seer frowned, “You are daring.” She said and looked at his asura mark. “So that is the trick.” She said.

Asura frowned but the next moment she was covered in intense godly light as a divine light filled her body. This intense energy was no different from bloodline power but the purity was ten if not dozens of times more pure.

It surged through her first asura mark and instantly her body began to crack and grow. Furthermore, it began to rotate from the get go like she had seen everything with her all seeing eyes.

Asura looked coldly at her but let her do as she liked but he still took the hammer off his back.

When the energy reached the final reservoir in her asura mark, the immense power gathered into a small orb and left the asura mark.

The cracking grew even worse as her face was covered in pain until it reached her other asura mark and the refined bloodline power from the first mark flooded into the second one and her size began to grow even more.

He just watched but he didn’t feel pressure like with the king tiger. The power was pure and intense but it didn’t have the persuasion power against him like the tiger did.

When the light finally stopped he saw that she was 3 and a half meters tall and grinning a strange but savage smile. Her body had many glowing lines as a result of the divine power in her bloodline energy.

“Finally… FINALLY! Indeed you are the one! The one to give me the knowledge I lacked to evolve! I am finally a divine prophet! A being with divine power as well as the knowledge to create a body that can handle this power! Now not even those animal savages will stop my growth! I will keep growing until i can finally get rid of this divine power and rule my own kingdom without the power of a god!” She shouted almost delusional.

Everyone rapidly reacted in horror as she expressed the power released by the 2nd asura mark.

Asura looked down at her as his bloodline power suddenly burst and she finally looked at him and saw the red glowing warhammer coming at her. “You are as delusional as your son!” Asur roared.

“Your purpose is done! Thus says I!” she shouted and punched out with a bright divine power.

The two attacks smashed into each other and an explosion and shockwave burst out.

The nearby gate was instantly shattered while the collapsed body of Baal was thrown like a ragdoll into the village and caught by his father.

He was in shock seeing his calm wife turn deranged like that.

“Is her hunger for power that great?!” he asked in shock.

Moments later they all saw the hammer surge back.

“AHAHA! I said that I will use this divine power until it is of no use! Do you think your little power is better than even a drop of divine power!?” She roared.

Asur’s eyes filled with disgust.

Before Asur and Adsila were exiled, he had once told her about his karma and how he had been forced to be a necromancer in a Virtual reality world once. It had not been the only time he had been pushed like this and every time there was one thing that led to it. That was the disgusting ‘righteous’ power that oppressed everyone to maintain power. He hated, to his core, a religious entity that only desired to suppress others to maintain power and control.

As soon as his rage reached its peak, he felt a change as an immense amount of the mist around him rushed into his first asura mark.

“Huh?!” the seer froze in shock as two red glowing eyes started at her. In his asura mark, amazingly all that energy rapidly began to condense nodes of energy and travelled rapidly through all five reservoirs and reached the final one and actually condensed a second energy drop.

It moved out and like the first time his body began to crack and entered the opened asura mark.

“You want to rule with your deranged mind. I can see now why that fool was born how he was.” He said with cold fury.

“Do you think you can stop me!?” She said and punched him.

Just as the fist was nearing his face, he raised his fist and caught her punch. The ground behind him exploded but he didn’t move as energy rushed at him like rivers.

“H-how?!” She shouted.

At that moment the energy node was passing through all the second marks compressing tens of thousands of times more energy than originally and transforming the energy from the one of the first mark to the second making it tens of times purer.

With an iron grip he trapped her hand.

“The thing i hate the most are people like you, who use others. It is no wonder you did not care to sacrifice the karma of the villagers for that shit of a son of yours!” He said.

At that moment the drop reached the last reservoir and instead of sinking, it floated up and finally fit into the socket.

“DIE!” Asur roared and suddenly both asura marks shined with an eruption of energy as the marks suddenly expanded down his arms looking no different from the blood drawings Baal had in his ritual.

The seers eyes widened but she couldn’t react as Asur’s right arm was savage slammed through her body.

Asur’s burning bloodline power aura was intense but the next moment everyone felt cold.

The blood from the Seer was actually sucked into the red glowing asura mark and suddenly a roar came from her mouth as she felt her power leaking.

Asur pulled his arm out but to everyone’s shock, chains of bloodline power were attached to his arm.

“With me! YOU WILL DIE FOR ME! AHAHAH!” She laughed.

He looked at these chains and felt like they had connected to his very core bloodline. He could feel that it was like a leech and he looked down and saw her leg start to form a new asura mark.

With disgust on his face he pulled back before suddenly wrapping his arm around it making her eyes widened.

Grabbing them firmly his arm, he suddenly exploded with power and suddenly the chains were ripped out like pulling her innards. This made her eyes roll back into her head from the pain.

The next moment, he pushed his hand into the hole that was closing in her and ripped out her heart and with his bare hand he crushed it.

Still it did not stop the chains as she grinned despite being bloody and without a heart.

“You will die for me!” She said with a ghostly voice.

“This is your time to die.” He said as he suddenly felt something and suddenly his two hands grabbed at her arms where her asura marks were.

Her eyes suddenly went back to normal and she stared with bewilderment. The next moment she felt a pain at the very core of her being and the two were covered in a blinding light.

No one, not even the exiles, could look until the light dulled.

When they looked, they saw the seer was held by Asur but they were shocked as they saw her body slowly turn to dust. The chains in turn were sucked into the asura mark and contained all the stolen bloodline and even the impure bloodline of the seer returning in full force to Asur.

As the last of her body turned into dust, a small glowing drop was suspended in mid air. It was the drop of divine power.

“Divine power, what a stupid thing to rely on.” He cursed as his hands turned blood red with his bloodline power and crushed the light between his hands causing it to explode but it was trapped in his hands without even reaching his flesh.

Like crushing a firefly, he opened his hand, there was nothing left but he looked at his marks and controlled his breath, he sensed the inside and felt the passage and rotation of the final reservoir unlike before. An immense energy surged out of the asura mark after the energy node was created.

Controlling the energy, it slowly calmed down, soon the energy drop disconnected and fell to the bottom of the reservoir very dull in color. The marks returned to normal but the rotation and absorption of energy through all the active marks didn’t stop as it funneled power to the last reservoir to reenergize the drop.

“So it isn’t permanent. Though the opening it makes is.” he muttered as he noticed the exit the opening had created.” He was honestly afraid of that power, that intense hate and anger would have almost consumed him if the Seer had not made him awaken after the first punch.

He became extremely cautious of gods and so called prophets. The ability to steal bloodlines is a dangerous thing and it seems no good might come from these kinds of beings. He completely closed his heart to this kind of person.

Finally looking up, he saw the chief and Baal in his arms.

With narrowed eyes, the chief felt cold and looked at his son. He didn’t know what he could do.

“Two choices, he dies and you can remake your life as a common warrior or you both leave in exile away from these lands.” Asur said.

“Is there no other option?” the chief asked.

“You both die.” He said coldly.

Feeling the cold in his gut, the chief, finally put down his son and returned into the village.

Asur remained there but after not returning, he took that as confirmation that he could do with what he wanted.

Baal was picked up by the head and dragged in front of the rest. “Like his mother, they are too dangerous, however, your anger needs answers so do so with him as you please but his final destination is hell. Less his dark karma brings forth danger for us.” Asur said and threw him at the exiles.

Burning rage filled their eyes.

Adsila was the only one to look at Asur and walked to him and touched his hand.

Looking at his partner, he smiled weakly and closed the second asura mark. Even so, the closed off entrance and exit didn’t stop the energy from gathering and filling the energy inside.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“Don’t worry. There is no permanent damage.” He said.

She smiled and hugged him. A quiet sniffle reached his ears and he hugged her back.

After it was done, he turned to the villagers, “Return inside.” he said simply. None of the villagers dared to reply and ran quickly and didn’t look back out of fear.

Suddenly a loud scream came from behind as Baal was forced to wake up and was beaten up to vent their anger but they had effective medicine. They tortured him the entire day until he died when his mind gave way.

They had two or three toss him in the woods for the wild animals and they entered the village with heads held high.

Asur sent half of them to the exile village and brought the already packed items, the elderly, weak and young.

Before the sun had set, the exile village was abandoned and everyone was back at the village. It was the start of a new era for the tribe but even so, it would not be an easy start.
