PHASE 85 - GLUTEN-FREE LOVE STORY

PHASE 85 - GLUTEN-FREE LOVE STORY

This weekend, Amy and I decided to go home to Mirose Grande to take a breather. We will have our friendly date in our hometown. This is our first date after two years of me suffering from the pits of Friendzonesville.

The day started normally. I was awoken by a natural alarm clock, which is the sunlight. I took a shower, ate my morning meal, blah blah blah, you already know a regular man’s routine, right?

After suiting up, I walked for five minutes until I reached Amy’s house. By the way, did I tell you already that they own a mansion? Apparently, Amy’s father was the mayor of this city until his name was tainted with disgrace; a typical politician downfall bullcrap. Their wealth also went down with their fame, but amazingly, they are able to retain the mansion.

I rang the doorbell three times, and I was only answered by Amy’s father. “Oh, Alaric!” He opened the gates for me as he scratched his head. “I’m sorry if Jeannette takes a lot of time to prepare. She’s been up since five, but still…”

It’s already ten. My watch won’t lie to me. Why the hell are the girls take forever to prepare anyway?

Amy’s dad led me to the living room, which comprises of comfy couches and a giant flat-screen TV. I’m quite surprised that they can still maintain the mansion even if there’s only the two of them living here.

While waiting for my “goddess” to suit up, we guys watched extreme snowmobile sports. All of a sudden, Mr. Noctis’s aura became a little bit threatening.

“So… You’re going on a date with my Jeannette, huh? I just want to let you know that whatever you do to her, I will do it to you. You treat her well, I treat you well. You make her cry, I make you cry… You break her heart, I’ll break your heart.”

“You mean you’re going to friend zone me?” I tried keeping my cool mind by giving a smart-aleck smile.

“No. I’m going to break your heart literally.” Mr. Noctis smiled.

There was a chill down in my spine. Dating the daughter of an ex-mayor is really a daredevil’s job. I gulped as cold sweat ran down on my cheeks.

But Mr. Noctis continued to tell creepy stories with such a straight facial expression.

“After Jeannette broke up with that chicken Kristoff, a lot of guys fell in line and attempted to snatch my cute daughter’s heart. And I handled all of them… by hunting. One by one.”

“W-Where are those guys now?” I asked for the sake of trying to wave off the atmosphere.

“I don’t know.” Mr. Noctis raised his shoulders.

“Oh, they escaped. You’re not as good at hunting as you think.” I smiled.

“... I don’t know where their corpses went.”

My smile was completely erased.

“Stop scaring him, Father!” Amy became my superhero that saved me from this trigger-happy daddy. Then she turned to me. “I-I’m sorry if I took forever, Ric…” Amy had her face blushing as she presented herself in a pink silk dress that exposes her white shoulders and skinny legs. She’s so fabulous.

According to Key’s Algorithm Love Itinerary For Alaric (KALIFA), our first stop is the white beaches of Mirose Grande.

Since winter is almost here, there will be no stingy sun rays and the cold breeze from the seas will relax our senses. Strolling around the beach while enjoying the beautiful scenery is a great idea, especially that the beaches are mostly empty in this season.

“Hey…” Amy initiated the conversation. “What are your plans for the future? What do you want to do with your life?”

“I don’t know. It always depends on the last movie I watched.”

“Figures…” Amy chuckled. “Last time I asked you was three years ago. You said you wanted to apply in the Avengers.”

“How about you?” I tilted my head.

“Well… I always wanted to start a family business… A five-star restaurant, a gorgeous hotel, a flower shop or even a drug den… I’m just kidding about the drug den part. Actually, I don’t care. As long as I’m working with the people dear to me.”

We suddenly crossed with an old man jogging with his German shepherd. To the dog’s curiosity, it turned its complete attention to Amy, who was quite scared and disgusted at the same time.

“Woof!” The dog made a pretty solid bark.

“Eeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!” Amy cried as she ran away. But the dog keeps chasing her! They ran around me for five or six times, until Amy decided to jump on me. I was glad that I was able to catch her in my arms. Now I’m carrying her like a princess.

Then the owner came over, apologized, and dragged the giant dog away from us.

“What’s the deal with you? That dog just wanted to play!” I laughed.

“I don’t wanna!” Amy cried like a kindergarten kid as she smashed my head over and over with her weak hands. “I hate dogs! I got bitten by one two years ago, in the butt!”

Bitches attract bitches, I see.

It’s already noon, so we decided to take a somewhat expensive meal as our itinerary states. I can spend a little more since I’m not dating a dead-hungry person. Amy is a micro-eater, and she’s conscious about her diet.

We got ourselves in an American restaurant that serves the best milkshakes in town. Amy ordered a vanilla milkshake while I ordered strawberry flavor. Aside from that, we had a vegan salad with molten cheese wheel as a sauce. I also ordered fries with bacon as a side dish.

Because of the grand presentation, Amy couldn’t help but to take a picture of the food and post it to all her social media accounts, just like your typical millennial bullshit.

“T-That bacon looks delicious…” Amy said. “C-Can I have a bite?”

Amy is trying hard to reach the plate, but she’s too short! I’m quite amused watching her trying hard like that. She struggled in reaching two to three times before I reacted.

I’m a generous gentleman so I pierced my fork to a bacon strip and gently drove it to her mouth. Her face blushed first before chomping a half of the strip.

“Is this bacon gluten free?” She said as she chewed the piece of meat.

“I don’t even think you know what gluten is. You’re just going with the trend anyway.”

I glared at the leftover bacon strip stuck on my fork. I don’t want to waste any precious food, especially my favorite. To her surprise, I put the other half of the strip to my mouth.

“Wha-Why did you do that!?” Amy shrieked with her face red.

“What’s the big deal with it?” I said, and then swallowed the food.

“N-N-Nothing.” She puffed her cheeks and look away. Then she grabbed her milkshake and sipped.

Oh, I know what she’s worried about. It’s an indirect kiss again. Time to tease her while unveiling my own secret.

“I don’t mind having an indirect kiss with you. I’ve already felt your lips.”

“Pfffffftaaaack!!!”

Amy burst out the milkshake she stored in her mouth. She even got her pink clothes stained with white liquid... So she looks like a victim of bukake right now. I’m sorry about that.

“S-S-So you do remember!” Amy furiously pointed her index finger at me. “You do remember that k-k-k-k-k-kiss!!!!”

Because of the sudden outburst of milkshake, I had to accompany Amy to the restroom in order to change her clothes. I gave my long-sleeved sweater for her.

“It’s your fault! It’s your fault!” Amy cried while changing inside the cubicle.

“Okay, okay. I’m sorry about that.” I said. It’s safe for me to smile right now since she can’t see it.

I never thought that the tables will turn once the cubicle opened.

Amy… Is so freaking adorable!

My sweater is too big for her, so the result is that her hands are hidden on the long sleeves. The torso is also long enough that it can serve as her skirt, but her white thighs are still peeking out. Her long blonde hair is even tucked at the neckline of my sweater.

Combined with her cute rosy cheeks, embarrassed yet passionate purple eyes, and her reddish lips… I could possibly say that I fell in love with her for the second time.

My heart is beating so fast. My brain failed to process any thought. My sense of time has completely stopped. It’s all because I lost my way on her eyes.

“...Ric?” Amy bowed.

“Y-Yes, Amy!?”

My date looked away and mumbled. “A-Are your parents home?”

“The whole family is out for a vacation in Heightsburg.”

Actually, I’ll be home alone after this date. I sacrificed my family bonding time in order to spend time with my childhood friend.

“I-I’m quite tired now… Let’s watch movies in your home... N-N-Netflix and chill…”

“O-Okay… L-Let’s get going then.”

We’re supposed to have a tour in the mall and go shopping, go to the park and enjoy the garden of flowers, and then have a road trip around Mirose Grande as stated on the KALIFA, but there’s a huge change of plans.

I think it’s smashing time!
