"Brad, can you pass the drinks?"
"I still can't believe for all these years after getting fired, you still haven't tried getting a decent job! And why don't you get it yourself!" Brad complained, but he still went ahead and arranged the beverages on the coffee table sitting in front of the sofa.
Alvin quickly took one and chugged it down in one go, only then did he respond back.
"Oh shut up you. Your 10 years worth of income still doesn't compare to my remaining balance, so why bother?"
"Where did that sassy line you told the manager went to?" Brad suddenly sneered.
Even though he was not part of the team, because of his connections with Alvin, Brad naturally got acquainted with few of the members and especially the manager, who he always shared qualms regarding Alvin's misbehavior. It was because of this reason he knew about such fact. Unfortunately, this connection became limited after Alvin got kicked out. Although others were still keeping in contact, some were purposely avoiding him due to obvious reasons.
"Oh!" Brad suddenly exclaimed, remembering something important.
"The creators of Horizon released a new technology!"
"So? What about it?" Alvin was clearly uninterested with the news, which was clearly evident from his tone. However, he still urged Brad to continue relaying the information.

Horizon was the brand title of a game released by EU. Co. on the year of 2017. It was a huge hit on the market because of its immersive gameplay, and quickly garnered up to a hundred million players in just a year after its operation. Then, only half a year later, the player count totaled to a whopping half of the world's population and with just a small fraction of the populace which didn't knew its name. The popularity of the game grew up to the point that whichever you go, you'll always spot someone talking about Horizon and its in-game matters.
It was speculated by the time that it reached its dying age, Horizon would have already made a huge impact on the industry, with the rest of its predecessors merely following its footsteps.
Seeing how the company was still releasing updates for the game clearly showed that they were stalling, and it actually turned out that it was all for this day! Of course, as for someone who have played since the starting point, Alvin already had an indication for this occurrence, hence his indifference.
"On a press conference held just this yesterday, EU. Co. introduced Full-Dive! Just as its name suggest, it lets a person hook up to the game through one's subconscious! This means that you can literally join Horizon while sleeping!"
"How can that be possible...?" Alvin had his eyes opened, even him did not expect such development.
"The heck should I know! I'm not a math wiz." Brad quickly denied any knowledge about the technology.
"What does math have to do with it, you dumbass! Just forget it, I'm going to search for it myself."
"How?"
"The Internet, where else?" Alvin could not help how idiot Brad can get sometimes.
After a moment of silence reading various specification, reviews, and other related informations, Alvin suddenly broke into excitement.
"We're going to the market!" he declared, dragging Brad to a nearby store.
