Season-Marvel Ep 6-2

EPISODE 6-2

It seemed his second reason for telling Spider-Man paid off, he wanted to see what would happen if he screwed with canon. In a way this was good. The Points honestly didn’t matter to him at the moment since it seemed like nothing, considering he had a month to deal with the Main Mission that was more than enough time to regain it. He doubted he would’ve found the side quests, though the New Main Mission of saving the Weapon X Experimentees was interesting. He vaguely remembered it was something it had something to do with Wolverine, and Deadpool.

He grinned, ‘In a way this is a net positive, 1200 points for helping Spidey, and gaining a new Main Mission without wasting time for the side missions. Those usually are worth way less.’

“Wait, why is my name beside Spider-Girl?”

“Train?” Spidey looked up from the slip of paper.

Sieghart mimed zipped lips, “Something you guys can figure out yourself because it's honestly not that hard, it's about as straightforward as it says. Can’t say anything more on the subject.”

“Can I guess?”

“I can’t exactly say yes or no even if you got it right,” eyeing the new pop up warning. It was odd he didn’t get any mission updates but this canon lore contamination pop up was right up in his face. “Regardless, I’ve said all I can.”

Gwen pouted in anger, it just looked adorable and the two of them looked at each other nodding that it was a good idea not to say anything. Sieghart was very tempted to add that he should just marry the girl already. But that would’ve given away his secret identity, he shook his head at the mess Spidey was in.

“I told you because you’re a good person and you’ve helped many people, regardless of the penalties that deserves recognition. I would’ve written more but honestly I don’t remember much right now, and on top of which,” as he reflected on what had happened thus far with everything, it really was different from the stuff he had grown up with. He remembered Mary Jane was supposed to be the love interest, and the other love interest situation with Gwen was when they were much older, “I don’t think the other stuff would be quite as accurate.”

They walked back and the two went back to helping with the cure as Eddie kept an eye on the situation, Sieghart got the Glider ready, broke Osborn’s ankle because he had read enough about the lunatic to know that keeping him capable was stupid having killed way too many people in the comics and every adaption that wasn’t PG. ‘Seriously, back home someone would’ve just RPG’d him out of the sky.’

He couldn’t kill him because technically he hadn’t done anything wrong, cause morals. There was also the Nick Fury who might bring down unnecessary heat on the Connors as conspirators to a murder scene. And pressure them into building a super soldier program for him. The dude could be anywhere from being your best anti-hero friend to an utter dic- villain

“Alright I’m going to go on ahead and try to get that Device Dr Connors has got attached to the top of the building.”

“Do you know how to get the device down safely young man?” Martha asked.

“I’ve defused bombs before this can’t be that bad.” said Sieghart not worried.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

“What, no this is not remotely the- how, when did you do that?”

“Back in the olden days,” brushing the question aside, “How long until it's finished?”

“Another hour, 45 minutes if we push it.” Spidey said focusing on the formula.

“Hmm, don’t rush it, best to do it right then rush it and screw up.”

“Please, I’m a professional. Shaved off another 20 min while we talked.” Spidey replied. The black haired child soldier looked at him surprised. “I’m a genius after all,” Sieghart could just hear the smug smile radiating off of him. Gwen started hearing that phrase, something very familiar and someone she was close to would say.

“Right, thinking twice it would be easier just flying you and the cure up there for you guys to rig up.”

“Smart call.”

Waiting for the thing was actually mind-numbingly dull, and a little anxiety inducing as he tried to think of ways to beat the thing. ‘If it moved anything like before I’ll have a hard time taking it down even with what I could salvage from the weaponry he found in Goblin’s Lair, well, what was left of it anyways.’ Reaper’s anger was evident, all the destroyed weapons had survived the fight, had been slashed and destroyed.

Seeing the place trashed, and not wanting Nick Fury and his motley gang of thieves to scrounge anything up he could use for his spy games he completely and utterly trashed the broken schematics, weapons and tech to make it harder for anyone that wanted to go green. He did download a copy of the schematics and a few things such as the pumpkin bombs, and the antique weaponry. There was enough incriminating evidence there with Osborn’s shady black market dealings that there really didn’t need to be much proof.

Rolling five of the remaining canisters of the unopened Goblin Formula, the black eyed teen wondered what he should’ve been doing with them. He couldn’t leave them around, and giving it to Spidey sounded like an even worse idea. He just sucked so badly at life, that he’d be fighting Green Goblin Aunt May and Gwen within the week after entrusted with the canisters.

‘Best keep the power close to us.‘

He blinked. ‘Was that-’

“Come look at this!” Eddie shouted, they grouped around the monitor watching the live feed of essentially a war between superhumans, lizards, graveyard of swords, random tanks, machines and a literal forest growing out of the rumbling pavement.

“Spidey!” Sieghart demanded. ‘That cure better be finished.’

As if on cue the centrifuge stopped mixing the batch, pinging like a microwave, “It’s done!”

Sieghart commanded, “Get on the Glider! And make extras Mrs. Connors.”

“Aye aye captain.” Spidey quipped.

Having had the Glider just outside the window Sieghart hopped on as Spidey sat on in a meditation pose on his back as if gravity was wherever he decided, “Mush!”

“Haha. Just don’t fall off.”

“What do you-MEEEEEEAAAAAA.” The sudden acceleration caught him off guard as they blasted off into the night, causing an explosion of windows to scatter all the papers in the lab.

Mrs. Connor sighed, and Gwen perked up, “I’ll help you.”

“Thank you.”

They flew over the city not even minutes later even with how far the facility was from the glittering lights of the city. They passed lush green trees, a winding mountain path in barely a moment's time. Before it all changed to the wide open expanse of the sea, the cold breeze of the water refreshing the senses.

Spidey asked, “Fly me close to the machine and I’ll jimmy up the world’s sweetest cloud machine and pop in the cure.”

“Sounds like a plan, as long as you don’t drop it.” They soon entered the city and he banked a hard right through the gaps of the buildings.

“I’ve got sticky fingers, even butter wouldn’t slip, Captain.” Spidey shot back. Calm as he took in the sights and sounds of people’s screams. Clenched fists so hard Sieghart could hear them creak.

“Spider-Man. We can help them all at the same time, and there are other heroes besides you. We need you at the tower.”

“I-”

“Responsibility. I know. You have a responsibility to help those in need. But you need to learn to delegate, you aren’t alone in this. You have your job,” as they sped above Times Square, “And they have theirs.”

The streets were filled with unconscious Lizards as the Streets heroes had come out to show them who was boss, Sieghart could make out Iron Fist and Luke Cage. As they flew past there was Daredevil high kicking seven lizards in a move straight out of street fighter move. Shang chi, White Tiger and so many more.

Truth be told he didn’t really know why they weren’t affected but once he saw the swords around the area he realized a few of them had gas filters on, and some police people were distributing it to the vigilantes. There were paramedics also running around helping the injured and many more.

The tower was in front of them, where there was the greatest concentration of Green Cloud, but it was completely silent.
