I was itching to move faster, but I didn't. Eventually, I reached what could only be the perch those guys shot at me from, and I looked around to see if anyone else was nearby. In the underbrush, I slowly found a pack with some supplies in it. Stuff that I already had, unfortunately, and that was a shame.
Sighing as I checked their bags, I decided only to grab a few food items that looked worth it before moving on. I needed a plan; the first thing I needed was a defensible position. Somewhere, I could camp safely and start to set up something. I had to move slowly but not as slowly as I was moving to get to this pack.
I did not have all day after all.
The sun was still out, and I wasn't sure how day and night worked on this planet—another thing I needed to start getting in touch with before I came out into the wilderness. I moved slowly and finally used the Machete because the underbrush was pretty bad.

Standard Machete (Junk)
A low-tier machete that barely cuts foliage.

I grimaced at the shitty Machete, but it was better than nothing if I was being honest. I continued to move in the forest, and I was moving for hours. It seemed that it may have been bad luck to have been ambushed so early. For some reason, I felt it was odd to be ambushed so early.
Kilometer after Kilometer, I moved when I started to hear water. Water meant prey like animals and other things. It also meant that I could find people potentially nearby. The sound of the water was odd, and then I got a strange smile. It wasn't flowing like River water but like something much more fun. I turned and headed in the direction of that water, and I slowed my pace.
If it was what I thought it was, I could hopefully find someplace to bunk down and get started. Slowing down so as to not give myself away, I continued to move with a slow, precise pace when I heard a sudden noise over the water, and I got down. It sounded like a noise from either a creature or an alien language. I was unsure, so I got down on my stomach and thought for a moment. I did not hear the sound again, but I decided that I would move up slowly as I thought I could see a clearing in the trees coming up very soon.
Now I could hear clearly the sound of a waterfall into a lake. I removed my backpack and retrieved my sniper and assault rifle. In case I needed to identify something, I grabbed my Bounty Hunter Tablet, put it on my back, and hid my backpack in a little underbrush. Then I got down on my stomach and breasts and started to crawl up slowly to the border of the clearing.
An half-hour later, I slowly got a vision of the clearing and found a breathtaking sight at first. It was a clearing of the forest—purples and blues decorated Cliffs about half a kilometer. A plateau with more foliage and a natural waterfall came down into a decent-sized lake. It was beautiful, and in the middle of it was something I wasn't so happy to see.
I saw a little camp going on, and I slowly brought my sniper rifle up and off my back. I wanted to get a closer look and was wary of my rifle. Now I realized I needed to get foliage to cover up the front like a Ghillie suit. My gun also needed something, and I sat in silence for a bit. It was hard to get anything from my current distance.
Then I saw a person coming not at me but in my direction generally. It was not a good sign, but I decided I had a tablet and brought it up slowly. I had it pressed against my back with my shotgun and realized there was a zoom function on it. I slowly brought it up, and my face was slightly aglow with the screen's light. I turned down the brightness and turned to the feature to identify bounties. I zoomed in and watched a Blue woman like Ura come up slowly and clearly sigh as she made her way to the edge of the clearing.

There wasn't a good look at her face yet as I watched, and she was headed a little distance from me. I contemplated attacking her to interrogate her but decided against that. I wasn't sure what was going on, and I needed more information before I could do something like that.

I looked at her and realized that she might be blue, but she was not the same race as Ura. That seemed to relieve me for some reason, and I decided to pull back. This was the perfect camping ground for me, but I clearly needed to not just run in. I pulled back and watched the woman move to the edge of the clearing.
”Fucking Alex, I told him, I goddamn told him I would get him back if he kept his shit up. I need some damn release of my own. I will get him tonight.” Talia said, and I waited as I watched her take off her pants.
It seemed they never dug themselves a latrine and were just going into the forest at the edge of the clearing. The woman took a couple of steps into the underbrush and finished taking off her pants, and I heard her muttering under her breath about getting to this Alex. That meant that tonight, some noise might be being made that might help in an attack.
What were they doing out here, though?
I frowned, watched as the woman expelled her waste into the forest, and realized that I might be dragging myself through their stuff without realizing it. I decided that I did not need to gross myself out, and I watched and waited, not wanting to move when she was nearby. I returned the tablet to my back and noticed it was still light out. The sun was still in the sky, and I had no idea how long I had been playing.
While I was contemplating the time of day, Talia finished her business and started to leave with a sadistic grin, obviously thinking about what she was going to do to Alex. Whomever he was and with her criminal history, I am sure he or she would not enjoy the experience.
That was disconcerting in its own way as I watched her head back, and I slowly started to drag myself back from the edge of the clearing. I needed to plan and camouflage myself a bit more—or at least my gun so I could use it to scout the place. More and more, I noticed small details that meant so much when it came to hunting in a forest setting that I never thought about till now.
This game was almost like a military learning simulation if you thought about it. Or at least, how I was thinking. Still, For now, as I dragged myself back inch by inch, I didn't hear anyone getting closer. As I crawled, I started to think of what I needed to do. First of all, it was time to do some of those traps I learned on the internet in the game. I brought the things to do it, and I needed them to fight a numerically superior enemy.
Traps in the underbrush and maybe on the way to me if I could. There was a clearing, so that meant covering both my sniper and my assault rifle to hide it would help me a lot. I could use that to gun them down, whereas they wouldn't know exactly where I was when I first started shooting.
Doing things at night would help out a lot, although once I got shooting, I am sure the Muzzle flashes of my rifle would give me away. That meant I had to get the drop pretty damn hard on them. Also, doing things at night might mean that none of them had armor.
There was another approach I could do at night, too.
I could go with the stealth game setup and kill a couple without alerting the others. It was high risk in the end if I got caught and a lot more up close and personal, and I was not sure if I could pull it off. I could also create a little dugout for his fight in the underbrush as I brought a small shovel with me to make a little shooting platform as cover for myself.
The element of surprise would become a key figure here, and I decided as I crawled back that I needed to make some preparations. I got back after a little bit, and I started to find foliage that I cut up and started to attach things to my sniper rifle. I took dirt and made sure it was a little dirty and tied some twigs to it to break up the rifle's shape and blend it with the background.
Working as quietly as possible, I began to work on the assault rifle and a little on my face. I broke up my face and put some things in my hair to break up the human-looking shape. Then, I grabbed my tools and a shovel and decided to do a little work.
Preparations needed to be done, and I had a couple of things to be working on. I had no idea when nightfall would come, but I needed to get information and see if I might be able to ambush someone when they left the clearing to use the bathroom.
Oh, maybe even a little distraction or aversion.
My smile turned sinister as I started to think about how to take over this place.
