*dring* Alice’s alarm clock woke her up, it was 6h30 am, time to get ready as she had to go to school. She did her morning routine (shower, washing her teeth, eating breakfast, washing her teeth again).

-8 am, at school-

“Today’s the day…” “... Can’t wait…” “... I heard that…”

Everybody was talking about Hestia online, named after the roman goddess, the same way as Venus and Mars, the very first VRMMORPG, while virtual reality had been in use for ten years the sheer amount of data necessary made it impossible to connect it online so it was impossible to make a multiplayer game. Madory Corp. changed that, with their revolutionary servers, able to process much more data than the other servers.

“Hello Alice!” said Léa.

“Hello, how are you today?”

“I’m so excited, I can’t wait to play Hestia Online! I’m so sad you don’t want to play it”

“Yeah, sorry I’m not interested” ~ as if I wouldn’t play it, I just don’t want anyone to know I’m playing~ “Let’s talk about something else”

“Okay, you don’t want to tell me why, so tell me, why did you reject Brice? He’s gorgeous and nice, it’s really rare to find a good looking guy who’s not a jerk.”

One hour until the launch of Hestia, Alice could barely wait to play, even her secret BL collection wasn’t enough to distract her.

She kept refreshing the homepage of Hestia Online to see if there was some news, this game was the only way for her to live her dream. What was her dream? She dreamt of living a male on male love story, while she also wanted to have fun in this fantasy world, she didn’t care about being the best player.

It was time, Alice went in her pod and waited for the next five minutes.
