Chapter IV - Meridians doctor

Meridians doctor

The old man slowly woke up while rubbing his eyes. He glanced at Long Bing but his vision was still blurred from the good dream he had while sleeping. Noticing that it was only a boy without Qi energy he cancelled his aura while saying.

“Ay, a wanderer… Your presence was so weak, I thought it was an assassin from the Dark Snake Sect!”

The old man quickly observed Long Bing. His left shoulder and left arm was completely fractured. He was trembling just from standing without any trace of Qi energy within his body.

Normally, anyone else than Long Bing should had collapsed a long time ago. Amazed by his strong will, the old man continued with a disbelieving tone.

“It’s been more than four years since someone pass through the deadly swamps without dying…I’m quite curious about how did you even manage to come there without Qi energy.”

Long Bing was slightly surprised. He didn’t expect the old man to measure his Qi energy. He didn’t know if he should relax or not when he was watching the old man that was leisurely waking up without caring about him.

Right now, all his Qi energy has been stolen and since he’s cultivating the dragon cultivation, his Qi regeneration was surprisingly slow.

If Long Bing really want to regenerated plentifully his Qi energy, he needed to rest at least around six to eight months to recover the totality of his Qi energy. If he could cultivate for fourth months without stopping, then he maybe, had a way to regenerate faster his Qi energy but it was something impossible in his current situation.

To regenerate fourth months without resting was something Long Bing couldn’t do in the present state. He was in the famous deadly swamps and wasn’t even sure if the old man in front of him was an enemy or ally. Furthermore, he didn’t had any Qi energy left, which means that he was on a level that even a eight years child who learned Qi cultivation could smack him to death without any problems.

As Long Bing quickly noticed the old man who was letting out strange sounds from his stomach, he decided to cook a meal to gain favor from him; so, he answered.

“You are correct sir, I came from the outside of the deadly swamps. You seem to be hungry sir; do you want me to cook something for you?”

The old man was slightly surprised from Long Bing’s question. He expected the boy to ask him stay in his house until he recovered, but it wasn’t the case and the boy asked him something else. He showed a relieved smile and agreed Long Bing’s proposition with pleasure while explaining.

“Really?! You really save me! I don’t know how to cook you see…and since my little Yu’er join the Zhao clan, no one could cook for me since then…You are like a gift from the heaven!”

Since the hut was only a once piece room the kitchen was at a good spot enough for Ling Bong to cook while carefully surveying the old man. He prepared vegetable soup as entry and skewers of different meats he could find inside the hut. Long Bing was always living alone since his father was always moving and training the disciples; thus, was used to house chores. As he quickly finished preparing the foods, he came back to the old man but stopped at 2 meter from him and put the tray on the floor and wait distanced himself from him.

The old man who fall asleep woke up because of the scent from the food. He took the glass of water first and drank it. Once he finally realized that Long Bing was a totally stranger and stared at him for few seconds. Then took the skewers and started eating while spoking in a self-pitying tone.

“Ay, it’s really good! You are a real chef!”

“Thanks for the compliment sir...”

Long Bing was amazed how much that old man could eat. He didn’t say anything else and watched the old man eating the foods in silence. After he finished eating, he looked at Long Bing with a satisfied face.

“Thanks for the foods! I was dying from hunger for three days eating raw meats or burned foods but thanks to you, I’m finally reviving!”

He suddenly changed into a serious face and continued.

“From your clothes, you must be from the outside right? I wonder why a young boy without Qi energy is doing in such dangerous area and on the top of that with your all your meridians locked?”

Long Bing frown hearing the two last words. He wasn’t an expert about the body but have at least some knowledge about the meridians. He was astonished that the old man could guessed his condition just by looking at him.

“Are you a doctor sir? How did you know that my meridians were locked? Can you maybe do something about it? As for what I’m doing here…”

Long Bing decided to trust the old man and explained his story. Meridians doctor who could guess someone’s meridians without even touching the body could be call as genius. He once encountered a meridians doctor and studied under his wing, thus, he knows the basic knowledge of a good meridians doctor.

Even if he didn’t trust the old man. Of course, he guessed that he wasn’t dangerous nor have any ill intentions towards him. Long Bing’s intuitions were sharp, when he was still young, he encountered all kind of people from nobility and always hided his face behind a mask. He didn’t want trouble and he didn’t want to stand out either; thus, he learned to read people’s thought by watching their faces.

The old man who listened to Long Bing nodded his head after hearing Long Bing’s story and with an approving face spoke.

“I see…that is why you resemble to that person...to tell you the truth, I’ve met your father four years ago, and helped him. He was also seriously injured, so he stayed in our village for few years...”

The old man paused, drank his water cup and continued.

“He was a strange man indeed, we’ve became really good friend these past years. He told me about his story and the world outside the Abyssal realm. It was a world totally new and interesting compared to here.”

Long Bing’s ears twitched and his eyebrows frown. He thought he didn’t heard correctly and repeated with a curious expression. “Abyssal realm…?”

Remembering the same sentence said by the man he encountered four years ago, the old man let out a small sigh and explained with a discouraged face.

“The Abyssal realm is a closed parallel world similar to the Shaozhu Continent. 54 years ago, when the demon beasts invaded the Shaozhu continent, after the five empires united, becoming the Wuhan empire, thousands of clans and sects went through the deadly swamps to find refuge and all of them disappeared…In reality, all of them, woke up in this swamps village and realized that they couldn’t escape out of the swamps. After finally passing through the other side of the swamps, they discovered a new world, this world is called Abyssal realm.”

Long Bing’s face gradually became paler after he heard the old man’s story. He was trapped inside a parallel world and worst; his Qi energy has been stolen and was at the worst state possible.

The Qi energy within his body has been depleted to the point the meridians in his body locked, which mean that all his spirit stones has been destroyed and could no longer be recuperated.

Deep in thought, sweats started to flow over Long Bing’s body. Noticing the sudden change happening to him, the old man spoke.

“Don’t worry boy. I make a promise with your old man before he left this place; thus, today I can finally fulfill this promise.”

The old man suddenly started to concentrated a high quantity of Qi energy within his index and slowly approach Long Bing. Watching the old man approaching him, he didn’t feel any murderous intent nor ill intent, but he was his mind was still on guard.

As the old man was finally close to Long Bing, with a totally shocking speed, his index touched 128 spots of Long Bing’s body without him even noticing the pain! It was so fast that even an elite warrior like Long Bing couldn’t see them correctly. When he finally finished to hit the 128’s spot, he spouted with a small laugh.

“My speed sure has diminished since the last time I practiced this Unlocking Meridians Techniques…I’m already so tired~”

Long Bing could feel a pleasant feeling overflowing his body. The Qi energy that was locked deep inside his body finally spread all over his body; all the physical strength and muscles returned to his former state.

Suddenly, Long Bing’s eyes suddenly became red. His hair changed to a deep cold blue and became shorter. Blue scales appeared on his skin. A long blue tail and two wings popped out from his back and with a cold voice, he spoke.

“Hahahaha! It’s been a long time little Zhao Yi. Your talents are outstanding as always. I never expected to meet you here my dear old rival!”

At the changes happened on Long Bing, Zhao Yi coldly retorted.

“So, it was really you inside this young boy’s body…Bing An…”

The first meeting of two old friends and eternal rivals…Both were staring at each other with murderous eye.
