Hello everyone this will be my first story i have written since middle school so im sure there will be errors of all sorts. Let me know what you think. It will be a bit slow at first but will pick up along the way.

[Date - 4/20/2097]

The ship named The savior was the last thing to ever be built by humans as the sun was dead and the earth frozen. Onboard was 100,000 of the best of the best.

The AI watched over all the sleepers for 100 years since the launch as it flew though space marking planets of interests for its sleepers to review upon waking. As the ship approached one such planet it suddenly started sound alarms as the ship was taking damage from an unseen force. The AI monitored and adjusted the ship as it saw fit to minimize the damage send commands to computers attached to sleeper pods.

Ugh my head hurts I sit up and look around my pod that is draining all the fluids and the alarms are to loud.

"Computer what is going on?" I asked the AI

:Captian we have take damage beyond my scope of orders and have awoken you for additional orders: 

"Report!" I yelled as i was running for the bridge.

I enter the bridge as the AI reports everything happening and its bad we have lost 90% of the pods to micro metors which ahouldnt happen since the shields were built for such things. All engines are offline and we are drifting in the gravity well of the plnet beneath us. I issue orders to jetison the last pod section active into orbit around the planey and grab my heavy armor environmental suit equipped with small nuclear power core and my personal rail rifle and head to the bridge escape pod. 

"Download everything into my implant and backup drive on the escape pod and start the ship detonation sequence i dont want anything left over to enter the atmosphere and change the planet" I orded.

I shut the door to the pod and hit the button to jettison.

The pod slqms me into my seat and begins its desent onto a new planet. "I should have scanned the planet first" i say out.

"Holy shit" i yelled "did you download yourself as well?

:negative captain it is my core program to survey and protect the sleepers so i have launched a small satalite to montior the pods left in orbit:

The pod shook violently as the ship detonated into a bright flash if light and then was gone. I close my eyes and wait for the pod to land.
