Humans, a most peculiar species. Not as strong as the Orcs yet not as weak as the Gnomes. Smarter than the Hobbits yet technologically inferior to the dwarves. Less predisposed to the arcane than the Elves yet capable of mastering all forms of magic. In almost every aspect they are mediocre, however it is because of their mediocrity that they are able to overcome adversity. For a human’s desire for power, is unlike any other species inhabiting the Earth. This story is about one such human’s hunger for a better life and the tragic path it takes her down.
