Across the world two new Idol trainees entered a small business room where a few men sat talking. Most of them were middle aged while one or two were younger. The youngest, who was closer in age to Keiden and Remmi, was quietly discussing something with a Balding stout man. The two of them seemed to be concerned over something, as the younger more aggressive looking youth looked as though he was about to argue with the other.
"We should quietly sit down over there for now," Keidan advised Remmi, pointing to a couple of empty seats off to the side. "We are still waiting for one more person, so it will still be a minute."
"What? Who could be later than me?" Remmi whispered.
"Probably someone important. I think they might be introducing our team leader." Keidan offered.
"Maybe that's why Mr. Fancy pants looks like he's about to vomit blood?" Remmi smerked.
The two glanced over at the other boy, who now sat with his arms crossed scowling at the door. "He looks better pouting."
Keidan gave Remmi a quick jab to the side. "Shh, you shouldn't be judging others when you yourself have flaws."
"What did I do?" Remmi rubbed his side where he was attacked, trying hard not to get too loud.
"You were late." The other reminded.
"By only a little! Besides, they didnt even notice." Remmi wined indignatly.
"Oh, they noticed."
With that ominous comment, two more people entered the meeting room. The whole room quickly stood up to greet them.
Yuen Miyada, the vice president of the company had always been a capable man. Even now when he was much older he spent most of his time being the face of the company, as well as the arms and legs. When people thought of who the head of the company was, Yuen would be the first to come to mind. As for the actual president, most couldn't remember who that was.
Yuen strut across the room in a navy suit, not bothering to look at the others as he passed by. With his head held high, he radiated dominance across the room.
Everyone was silent. Reaching the head of the table, the old, but fit, gentlemen sat down into the vacant chair. Serveying those around him for a moment, Yuen meticulously folded his hands in front of himself. It was then he smiled.
The formerly cold air dissipated in an instant as the once militant man became a warm fatherly figure. Reaching his eyes, the smile the man gave was genuine and caring.
"Good morning everyone. Please sit down." The sound of stiff clothes and rolling chairs vibrated across the room as everyone complied.
"Now that we are all here," Yuen shifted his eyes to the side, he stopped for a moment to give a pointed stare to Remmi over the rim of his glasses. The youth began to sweet a little embarrassed. Yuen then continued. "I wanted to introduce all of you to an important member of our team."
On cue, the person accompanying Yuen into the room stepped forward. "His name is Parker Xin."
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Hello." Standing tall, a young man stepped forward to greet the room. Though his looks were ideal for a rising star, the demeanor radiating from within out shone his outward appearance. He was confidant, composed, and cool. A triple threat. But above all, his eyes carried a deep sense of intelligence. "Please address me as Pan, I look forward to working with you all."
A few quiet whispers were exchanged through the room. All wondering the same thing, who was Pan, and why was he so important?
"Pan here, was chosen specially to lead the new group." Yuen continued to explain the situation. "He has been studying abroad for a few years now and has offered to be a bridge for our staff, and as of ten minutes ago, our newest team members."
The whispers became more apparent, and some even sounded a little angry. Eventually one spoke up.
"Excuse me sir?!" This being the balding man who had been talking to the sour faced boy from earlier. "I was given the impression that Simon would be the Leader of this group. He was specially reserved for this project and has the experience to carry the group."
One or two people nodded their heads in agreement, but Yuen only sighed in response.
"That may have been true at the beginning, but since these last few auditions finished we've had to reevaluate our approach." The Vice president explained.
"But how does that affect Simon? Is it fair to cast him aside just like that?!" The tone of the man became increasingly more ignorant causing Yuen's eyes to darken a little.
"Cast aside? We arn't casting him aside. In fact we are giving him a gift." Yuen suddenly let out a low chuckle. "The original plan was to create a successful group that would top or countries leaderboards. We wanted a group of powerful and diverse young men with an edge and softness that wouldn't just charm young girls. Simon fit this definition."
"So then what's changed?" The bald man finally sat back down, though he still wasn't finished fighting for his client.
"Everything." Yuen grinned. "With our recent auditions we were lucky to find a few hidden treasures that have the potential to be huge assests to our company. And with these treasures comes the potential to become popular, not just on a continental scale, but globally."
Suddenly the changes became apparent. This group wasn't being built to be the countrie's biggest hit group, but the world's. A quiet murmur spread through the room.
"I don't get it. What's the difference." Remmi suddenly leaned closer to Keidan who could only shake his head in response.
"It means more money." Suddenly Pan appeared next to the two, holding out his hand in a greeting. "Its nice to meet you both. I'm Pan."
"Ah...uh Remmi."
"Keidan. What what languages do you speak?" Keidan's response was a little strange, but seeing the amiable nature of his smile Pan didn't see anything wrong.
Calmly letting go of Remmi's hand, who was just about ready to shake his arm out of its socket, he lightly took hold of the other's hand. "English, and Spanish."
Keidan let out a small hum in response before letting go of the handshake. Pan was a little surprised by how soft the other's skin felt when his fingers brushed against Keidan's palm.
"So, the other Trainnies are American?" Keidan asked.
Pan just grinned in response giving a curt nod in afermation. "A couple."
"A couple? You mean there's more than two?" Remmi asked in surprise. Originally there were suppose to be only six members in the group.
Suddenly there was a loud bang from the other. Side of the room. The bald headed man began to yell.
"That's not enough! How can a language barrier constitute as a reason to change leadership!? They should already be well taught before joining the company, or were the previous rules just guidelines?!"
"You misunderstand. The communication isn't for the members but the fans. As of now Simon knows the least number of languages compared to the others, so how will that look if we have him as the face of our team? A global group who's leader can't even communicate with anyone outside his own country? That's too short sighted."
"Short sighted? I'll show you short sighted. Come on Simon. This isn't the place you need to be anymore." The bald man stormed out of the room with the cold youth in tow.
One or two people got up to stop them but Yuen urged them to sit.
"Don't worry. This reaction was expected." He explained.
"But sir, what about the number of members?" Someone inquired.
"Even without Simon. We have enough."
