A young girl was enjoying her time in the woods, far from her home. She notices an usual path she hadn't seen before, her being the curious child she was, she went running into the overgrown vines, and completely out of sight. As she walks she mutters out loud, “This was the only peace she ever got as a kid without having to worry about people wanting her and her mother dead.”
She notices a tree different looking than the others, this tree had white moss falling from its branches and a soft green glow to it. As she approaches the tree, she hears rustling underneath the tree, in a small hole.
“Hello?”, the girl speaks aloud but gets no response back but the sounds of leaves crackling under one's foot.
She begins to turn away from the tree to go back down the path, as soon as she was walking away she heard a small whimper which caused her to turn back to this small white fox with a beautiful coat, it looked like someone kept up with it, as if he belonged to someone sitting at the hole that the noises was coming from. The fox began to walk out from the hole and she noticed quickly the nine tails of the fox, with gray tips. She begins to become confused thinking this has to be a dream. She walks back to the tree, looking around the old tree to see if there were any pups or other adult foxes, none. She squats next to the fox, letting out a sigh.
“You know, you're really cute but I have no idea what you are…I wish I could have a hint. But i'm gonna call you snowy, my name's Alice.”, she chirped out, in a slightly confused way as she softly petted his silky fur.
Alice giggles as she gets up from the ground, the fox watching her intently as she stands and brushes the dirt off her clothing. She pulls her phone out to check the time, noticing even though it didn't feel like it, she has been petting the fox for hours, she looks back down at him.
“Ok snowy, i have to be on my way now, my mother will be worried. I'll come see you tomorrow!”, she says as she begins to walk back down the overgrown path.

The fox followed her quietly, Alice not noticing her new friends presence as she walked back towards her home in the countryside. The walk took a few hours and by the time she was home it was nearly dark, she could smell her mothers cooking from the woodline, she quickened her pace until she heard a branch crack behind her, turning quickly she saw the fox.
“You followed me snowy?”, she asked as she knelt down to pick him up to bring him in with her.
Snowy licked her, then did something she didn't expect, he bit her arm. Alice fell to the ground in pain, watching Snowy run off back into the darkness of the woods. She screams and cries and looks at the bite.
“No blood?”, she says as the bite begins to glow the same color as the tree, a soft green, which causes her to panic, not knowing what this meant, and why she didn't bleed from the bite of a fox.
This made her even more confused on what this fox was, and what is going to happen to her now. She gets up from the ground and walks to her small house, hiding her arm from her mother till she could get a jacket on. She puts a thin jacket on then walks from her room to the kitchen with her mother sitting down at the table and smiles as her mom brings her dinner to her.
As she was eating her mother asked,” Where did you run off today Alice?”
“Just the woods mom, i saw a really pretty tree, and a cool fox, he let me pet him and play!”
“A fox?”, her mother asked in curiosity.
“Yes!! He had nine tails, and was so nice to me..he even followed….”, she stopped herself from finishing what she was going to say, hoping her mother would not notice.
“Followed you where alice?”
“Home but I told him he couldn't stay so he went back to his home mother.”
“Good, you kids have the craziest imagination!!”
Alice frowned knowing her mother wouldn't believe her. After eating she got up from the table, going to her room to prepare herself for a bath. As she took her jacket off she noticed the bite was turning into the shape of a fox paw print, which made her yelp.
“What is this?!”, she asked herself as she paced around her room, determined to go back to the fox the next day too find out what he had done to her.
She knew she had to keep her calm to not attract her mother, she walked to the bathroom to bathe, some time passed and as she was putting her clothes on, after the bath, she noticed the mark was now full fox paw print with a soft green glow.
It was difficult for Alice to sleep that night, stressed and curious on what this all meant, she was determined to go back to the tree for questions the next day.
